"This was the most unfriendly experience that I have had purchasing on the internet. They used bait and switch tactics. I finally made an order, but decided to cancel it later. I called in to do this they gave me a cancellation number. When the package arrived anyway I called and gave them my cancellation number and they said that it was not valid. They would not take back the item without acceptance of a restocking fee. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM USAPHOTONATION unless you are prepared to pay more for what you get with horrible service and deceptive customer service practices."
"Ordered Canon SD300 camera. They left message to call billing dept - wanted my CC CVC number, then wanted to sell me a case. Then a kit which included the battery and charger for $75 more. They claimed that the battery and charger weren't included with the camera. Yeah, bait and switch, these guys are slimes."
"After I ordered a camera from them, they sent me an email telling me that there was an issue with my order and that I needed to call them. Later that day, someone from their office called me. He tried selling me a lot of things that I didn't need or want. Then he informed me that the camera was back-ordered for 4-6 weeks. When I checked my email, I saw that an email saying the same thing about the back order was sent the same time I was talking to the guy. I checked the reviews of the store and saw that my experience was common and did what most others seem to do: I canceled my order. Haven't heard back from them yet. But please, under no circumstances should you buy from these people. I'm paying the extra bucks now to go to a well-known place."
"rude & inflated shipping costs.
stay away from this merchant."
"I was unhappy with this store, because they did the old bait and switch. They never intended to sell me the Coolpix 5400 for $449, which was advertised. Instead, I had to buy their over-priced accessories."
"USA PHOTO NATION IS RUNNING A "SCAM"
No need to go into much detail about my experience. It's the same as everyone elses. I ordered a camera. Got a call to verify my order and sell me a battery and charger. I sent the company an e-mail and asked if they were removing the battery and charger that should be in the box with the camera, and then turning around and selling back to the purchaser. Of course, I didn't receive a reply, so I've cancelled my order with the scammers.
Isn't there something illegal about people doing business like this?"
"This company will NOT sell at the prices advertised on their website. When I refused to buy their over-priced accessories, I was told the camera was on back order and it would be 4 weeks before it was restocked. Now has been 12 weeks and still no camera and still out of stock. I thought I could go through American Express and try to get some satisfaction, but AMEX refused and is just as greedy as USA Photonation. I cancelled my American Express card! BUYER BEWARE!!"
"I buy many goods online with some frequency. I have dealt with dozens of vendors for hardware, software, personal items, movies, music, business supplies, clothing, food, wine, etc. etc. This far, this is the worst customer service experience I have had with any store. There was a problem with my order; some digit got swapped on the credit card number or something. I got an email telling me to call. Out of exactly 13 times I called, the phone was answered 3 times. The first 2 times the customer service representative effectively said, "WHAT?" I told them my business, they didn't wait for me to finish, put me on hold without acknowledgement or any kind of indication what I was waiting for. Both times I waited for 5 minutes then hung up. The 3rd answer I received, the agent was not just indifferent, but RUDE, even antagonistic. All I had wanted to do was correct my order, but after 2 days, 13 calls, and 3 absurdly rude customer service agents, I just said, "Please cancel my order." If nothing goes wrong with your initial order, the experience might be decent. But you had better hope you never need to deal with customer service. In my humble estimation, it is worth a few extra dollars to avoid the necessity of dealing with these people again."
"We were very satisfied with the product and response from from the internet salesperson at usaphotonation.com"
"NEVER BUY ANYTHING HERE!!! These creeps are fast-talking, package-stripping resellers. They try to hassle you into buying accessories and warranties you don't want, and then when you act like you're not going to buy from them, they tell you "you won't get it anywhere else for this price!" Well thank you very much, but I'll gladly give a little more money to a company that is straightforward, polite, and doesn't try to scam its customers. With USA Photo Nation, customer service is DEAD!"
"DO NOT BUY FROM
I got an email the day after I ordered asking me to call them about my order. They asked if I wanted a battery and other 'extras' for the camera. I was like what do you mean? It comes with everything you are trying to sell me from the manufacturer. 'Oh no, you just ordered the camera, for an extra $100 you can get the package'
BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM ARTISTS"
"I too got the bait and switch however when Jason started to "price" up the package I realized that it was still a little cheaper that retail. I initialled told him to cancel as I could go to BestBuy and pay just a little more. He then threw in a additional high-capacity battery and 3 day shipping for the exact cost of retail. Since I could save $40 in tax and get a free battery I went ahead with it.
I then found this website and held my breath awaiting the order.
The order was shipped on Monday and delivered on Tuesday. Everything is as it should be and overall I'm quite relieved.
So I guess the moral of the story here is you can save a few bucks and get quick service if you put up with their B.S.
Although I probably would go a different route next time I thought I should at least temper others complaints with this post. "
"I, like others, received an email from this company about my order. I just called their number.
The guy asked me if I knew the digital camera (Canon A75) did not come with a battery charger and rechargeable batteries and did I need them? I said no, I had a battery charger and batteries. Did I need more memory? I thought this is strange. I said no, I didn't need any memory at this time.
THEN he set the hook. The camera is on a six week backorder. Why would I need accessories if I had no camera.
I told him to cancel the order.
It appears that they low ball the camera and then try to get you to buy accessories. And if that doesn't go, then your order is on backorder.
I'd steer clear of these characters."
"Never order from USAPhotoNation.com!
Here is the scam:
1) They list items for less than they will ever really sell them for
2) You order something
3) Tye try to upsell you some wildly inflated parts (lenses batteries whatever)
If you by the upgrades you get the item shipped, if you say no I only want the item with no extras, your order gets mysteriously "backorderd" and will NEVER BE SHIPPED.
If you order form these USAPhotoNation.com you will get screwed. Can all these horror stories be false?
Think your too tough -- Good luck suing them!

"Cancelled order, things were so horrible. Told me that they were selling me only the camera, not the batteries, not the 16mb SD card, just the camera. If I wanted a battery, I had to pay extra. If I wanted an SD card, I had to pay extra. When I said just send me the package I got an email saying that it was backordered by 4-8 weeks. When I called and spoke to a sales guy about a new order, he said it would ship the next day. This guys are shiesters, fraudsters, and doing a whole lot of bait and switch. If you aren't looking for a good price, they might be fine, but if you are looking for what you want at a good price with no hassling, haggling, etc, look elsewhere. I got my Canon SD300 from Beach Camera for $332 shipped with no issues."
