"I ordered with US appliances 8 yr. ago and decided I can trust them with recent order of a hood and dishwasher. They give very good prices and the savings from "no sales tax and free shipping" allow for ordering better models. Unfortunately the pros end here. The US appliance website promises 2-3 weeks delivery, 4 weeks for professional models calculated from the time of the sales receipt. Our order was placed on 11/6, sales receipt came on 11/7, order departed their warehouse on 11/23 and reached the local distribution center on 12/5. Delivery was originally scheduled for 12/7, so may say it is in the norm. Inexplicably the delivery date posted on the Home Direct web site changed to 12/12, but no one called us to schedule the delivery. We called multiple times to understand what is going on and negotiated a delivery for 12/14, confirmed by the dispatcher. On 12/14 no one showed up after 6 hours of waiting. Moved to 12/15 - same story. Moved to 12/18 - 9 hours waiting and received a smashed box. Our order consisted of two items, but no one seems to know where the dishwasher is: US appliance requested "Deep dive" search in the local warehouse and 24 h later still no result. Apparently this search allows for 72 h. Most importantly, it is almost impossible to reach out the local distribution center (it is under Home Direct) - their answering machine loops and if eventually able to speak with a real person, they intentionally put you on indefinitely long hold, trying to test your patience. Promises, promises, promises to check the status, to call back, etc. - never happened. The US appliances rep is similar type of "professional" - full of promises and insincere apologies without real ability to obtain info and influence change in the distribution company. However, she requested $50 compensation for the missed delivery date (appreciated, of course, but not a real compensation for the wasted time and abuse). Cannot understand how companies like Home Direct, so inefficient and with extremely rude customer support, can survive. I wish I had ordered locally and paid more - the feeling of disappointment, disrespect and mistreatment overpowers the joy of the new appliance finally here. I hope the other unit is delivered and I won't have to wait another month for ordering through different vendor. I would never use US Appliances again."
