"I have done allot of business in the past this company and I have had mixed results, some very positive results and more recently very dissatisfying. I have had to return a motherboard twice and after allot of run around I got it replaced. Now it seems that they have changed their limited customer support to make it even harder to track the status of your orders that are placed online. You used to be able to call and when you did get someone you could get somewhat of an answer, but now all you get is a voice mail if you ordered online and they do not want to seem to answer your messages. I have enjoyed their prices and service in the past but I feel that I can no longer tolerate their service or lack there of, and I can not in good faith tie my friends and customers money up with a company who has started to become so unreliable. I hope they improve their practices in the future but for now I would tell you to order from somewhere else to ensure that you don’t get burnt."

"This company does not care about deceiving the customer or fraudulant claims. Customer service crappy at best,they give you the runaround when asking a direct question. bottom line do not trust them when they say they have something in stock it`s a dice roll. "

"What a bunch of clowns. Ordered a MB CPU combo from them. Installed it and immediately had problems. Tried to get them to replace it... To make a long story short they wouldnt said the CPU wasnt the same one they shipped me...
So I called Visa and they stopped payment....

"I bought a barebones Athlon XP 2100+ on a k7s5a pro board and a cheap case. This company is very confusing. They were great as far a closing the sale and tracking the package (it arrived ahead of schedule). They even emailed me to verify the Pricewatch price. Everything was super. However, the machine arrived with a Athlon XP 1500+ CPU! How does this happen? I'll give them the benefit of the doubt (bad help), but let's see how they rectify this problem, especially since I've had the machine assembled. I'll keep everyone info'ed."

"I never received the motherboard & processor I ordered email them three times sent bogus tracking numbers twice spoke to them on the phone gave me tracking number for some ladies package in Macon , Ms. when i called ups they read the name on the package it was not mine I still have not received this by Monday I will contac a lawyer to begin legal proceedings for credit card fraud. "I chose unitedmicro.com to order a barebones system solely because of their prices and their unique configurator. I probably will not order from them again. (1) They inverted my billing and shipping address and so shipped to the wrong address. (2) They did not include a detailed receipt of the parts that I ordered. (3) the order took longer than was advertised on their homepage. And (4) It is very difficult to get hold of a customer service or tech support staff by phone. Steer clear."

"I had ordered with success from a company called Micro Pro. When a ordered my nforce2 motherboard and processor from the pricewatch, I thought I was dealing with that company. Then, after the order was placed, I realized my error and checked reseller ratings for comments. I was horrified and expected the worst. However, these folks delivered exactly as promised, sending me a well-packaged product, in good working order and in a timely manner. I was both surprised (based on most comments on this site) and pleased. I would order again from them without hesitation."

"I purchased the computer equipment on Ebay from United Micro. The equipment was supposed to be new and under warranty. I purchase the equipment on 11/15 and they shipped it on 11/22. They shipped the product but only the motherboard was in the OEM box. The cpu and ram was already installed on the board and included no box or paperwork. The product did not work. I called their tech support repeatedly and did everything they asked including purchasing a new power supply for my computer. In all, I spent over 6 hours trying to determine the cause of the failure. They finally said it had to be defective and for me to return it. I returned the product to them and after some time trying to get them to respond, they finally said the product was in working order and I would have to pay them to have it shipped back to me. At this point, I was convinced they were trying to cheat me. I said I just wanted a refund and they replied there would be a 15% restocking fee. I did not want to pay that so I agreed to let them build an entire new machine for me at an increased cost of almost $400.00 more. They guaranteed the new machine would work as intended. I should never have agreed to that. Since then, they have not responded to either my emails or phone calls. I have not received the machine or my money back. I finally told them I wanted an immediate refund of the money they charged my credit card but they have not responded. They've had my money for 6 weeks now and I can't afford to buy the equipment I need until I get that amount returned. I’ve received email from someone named Eric and I spoke to Robert on the phone but neither one will respond anymore. "

"To all who are having problems with United Micro I had the same problems with them and had to resort to letting my credit card company deal with them to make it easier for you just point your credit card company to this page or the BBB page in OH and they will quickly get your refund for you. It worked for me . My credit card company says if more people would do the same the credit card companies have a ban list for certain merchents who practice what United micro does and they will black list them if enuff people report them. What I mean by ban them is they will have their credit card privleges taken away. As they will not be able to take credit card orders and will have to depend only on their local market and they fold if thats the case."

"I ordered my monitor from unitedmicro.com at least 2 weeks ago and it still says 'processing' on thier website and they havn't even billed my credit card yet. I havn't even got a email confirmation yet, even. This is the monitor in question: http://www.unitedmicro.com/specs.cgi?MOT002. I saw them on PriceWatch and thier price didn't even match the pricewatch price. I canceled my order today but I dont know anything else is gonna go down because these people are just shady... Also, I think about 1/2 of these "positive reviews" are posted by unitedmicro.com themselves because 1. most of the posts are the same with a few variations, 2. the ones in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS seem to be the only ones that are positive, and 3. no one would give these guys 5 stars."

"There are 3 great words to describe this company: Affordable, Fast, and Reliable

United Micro is by far, the best online reseller I have ever done business with. Their efficiency, and have a great pricing structure in place. Everytime I go to buy something, I usually start with pricewatch. But for the past 2 years I always end up back at United Micro, Inc.

I have bought enough stuff through them to build 12 computers for my friends. I have never had a bad experience.

"Ordered a "new" KDS 19 inch monitor. Monitor arrived on time but defective. The screen was certainly not new and definitely used. Also came WITHOUT the face plate on the back containing the serial # and other info required by law. I was not satisfied and for the $10-$20 difference I will order from a top rated site and will not order from united micro again."
