"Great price, fast shipping and quick delivery of the exact item I ordered. What more could you ask for in an online retailer? Thank you, ValleySeek."
"they do not honor resale certificates, and did not credit back the tax."
"Avoid doing business with Valley Seek! Avoid doing business with Google Checkout! First, let me start by saying that I placed my order on Aug. 25th, 2011. They cancelled my order without warning the very next day. It is now Sept. 10th, 2011 (almost 3 weeks later) and the money has still not been returned to my account.
I can't help but feel Google Checkout is also to blame. The reason ValleySeek stated for cancelling my order is that Google Checkout (without clear explanation) flagged my order as risky. In the interest of full disclosure, it's perhaps related to the fact that I had a US shipping address, but paid with my non-US credit card (i am a US citizen living abroad). However, instead of ValleySeek seeking to verify that all the information given them was accurate, they instead decided to unilaterally cancel the order, refusing to acknowledge their role in it:
"Hi Victor,
Risk determinations are made by Google. We have no input in the process and they do not expose your payment information to us.
Regards,
ValleySeek Support"
Google's non-human customer service only had this to say when questioned:
"Hello,
Your Google Order #7252*******3488 has been cancelled by the seller, ValleySeek."
So I get the run-around on BOTH ends and $163.60 is STILL missing from my account nearly 3 weeks later! They claimed that my card would not be charged, but it was- IMMEDIATELY. They claimed it was just an authorization that would go away in a matter of days or weeks, but it hasn't. I had to search the internet to find a phone number for them, because one was not on their site. In the several days I tried calling, I got no answer from ValleySeek, only a voicemail system. I left messages, but none of my calls were returned. The voice on the voicemail sounded like an east Indian man, so for all I know, my call could've been outsourced to India.
If this sounds like a rant, that's because it is, but it's backed by clear facts. DO BUSINESS WITH VALLEYSEEK AND GOOGLE CHECKOUT AT YOUR OWN RISK! I recommend avoiding both all together. ValleySeek's cheap prices are not worth the risk and unreliability of their customer service. It may seem cheap, but you pay a high price if you spend hundreds of dollars and get nothing in return! Google Checkout also cannot be trusted, and there is no human customer service who will help you when you do run into trouble."
"ValleySeek is a rip off company. Will not return phone calls or respond to emails for RMA number to return product. They have a voicemail message saying they are busy assisting customers when you call. There is NO way that they have that many customers that they can't answer a call OR respond to messages. I will NEVER do business with them again and YOU SHOULD NOT SHOP HERE."
"just terrible. no response from customer service, wrong product shipped. shameful."
"Bad Web business. No email communication just some old forum were they never reply. No phone number to call. Poor service all around!! Avoid this site just to save a buck or two!"
"Shipping cost is relatively reasonable compare to other online merchants. Price for the item we bought was very good and it was shipped the next day(we ordered 7PM)
Overall, I will buy more from them in the future.
Thanks"
"Shipped fast. Good packaging. Item is brand new as described."
"This is he first time I've bought anything from this seller, and I was very satisfied and would definitely shop with them again.b"
"Due to an incomplete description on the website, I ordered and received a Garmin GPS map on SD flash card instead of DVD. I returned the item under an RMA. I had to pay return shipping and a 5% restocking fee. The return arrived at ValleySeek on 7/7/11, and 6 weeks later they still have not credited my card. In addition, all of my e-mail inquiries have not been answered. Do not order from ValleySeek if you want good return service.
ValleySeek says in their response that the item I returned was opened. I did not open it because it was obvious upon taking it out of the shipping box that it was not what I wanted. When I inquired about returning it, they asked if it was opened and I replied that it was not. It took over 8 weeks to get my credit."
"At first, I was nervous because I unfamiliar with ValeySeek. However this vendor performed well. The item arrived sooner than expected. They have my vote."
"I shopped around and found them the best deal for what I was looking for, Leatherman mult-tools."
"My buying experience at ValleySeek was great. Nice easy-to-use website, prompt notification of order and expected delivery, and one time delivery."
"Website is simple but that adds up to savings for the buyer!
Product was delivered in new condition as advertised, no shipping damage or missing/broken parts.
Would definitely do business here again - fast shipping and great prices!"
"The product was offered at a great price, my order shipped on time and arrived in good condition, and the entire transaction was flawless. Would do business again."
A rep from ValleySeek, rdewan, has responded:
“The order shipped on time and was received in a timely fashion. The customer requested a return and was provided with return instructions. Since the item was opened, it took us longer than usual to verify and process the return. The customer has since been refunded appropriately.”
