"What a terrible experience. I went with Valuebasket because they claimed to have my item in stock locally. This was not the case. They claim to have the item shipped 2-4 business days but it wasn't until 7 business day that I found out the item was still in Hong Kong. LIE. When the item finally reached Australia it turns out they use a budget courier so the item could not be left at my house, local newsagent or the post office at the end of my street. The result is that they want me to drive to the other side of the city to pick it up.
What is the point of using a courier?
I am now over 3 weeks into this ordeal and I still have not received my order.

"Based on their promise to ship between 2-4 business days and supposedly stock availability of 4 units, I decided to pace an order. Big mistake! After almost 2 weeks, I enquired when they would be able to ship and I never got an answer. Most likely they didn't really have the stock. Requested for the cancellation of the order and a refund of the amount I paid."
"I pruchased an Olympus OMD-EM10 camera. The price was very competitive so went ahead with the order, purchasing on the 16th August. The item arrived within the stated time period, however on the 5th September the camera just stopped working. I lodged the original support request on the 7th September. I then got 1 email a day asking me to try this, and try that. Eventually after exhausting their stock responses they concluded what I already knew, that the camera is faulty. 30 or so emails later on 8th October I was given a return address and informed it would take 5 to 10 days to turn around. The item was signed for by their return centre on the 13th October. I have since sent 15 or so emails to valuebasket and get the same stock response once every few day telling me that it is still processing. It is now 2nd November and I still have not received any word of what the situation is with my camera. The website states if an item is faulty within 28 days of purchase I can receive a full refund, so far this has not been honoured and is still ongoing.
A word of warning - the price seems cheap, but should the item be faulty you will receive the worst customer service I have experienced from an online shop."
"I ordered an item that indicated that it was in stock with 8 units. It was stated that the item would ship in 2-4 days. After 6 working days, the item had still not shipped and so I cancelled my order. I have received a prompt refund and am thankful for that. On cancellation, the stock level returned to 8 units. What I don't get is that for an item that is "In Stock" why can't it be shipped? What bothers me is that from further research, this is not an isolated example."

Was clearly stock for the European market that was sent even after being assured a local product version was posted. It seems now the onus is on the purchaser to prove the wrong stock was sent. "The product I purchased was not available, it is still being advertised in adverts on line. My refund took 10 days to be credited to my account even though another company I tried to purchase the same item off refunded my money in 24 hours. The emails, phone calls etc to try and get this sorted was a huge pain in the a** They have a long way to go in regards to service and communication with customers. Would not recommend."
