"I placed my Order and received an Order Confirmation stating the order will be Ready to ship in 2-4 working days and Delivered in 5-7 working days. After 7 working days I hadn't received any updates and the online status had not changed. I followed the instructions in the Knowledgebase on Cancellation and submitted a "I want to cancel my order. As soon as Value Basket received my message, I immediately started receiving updates as to the status of my order, for example: "I am pleased to confirm that your order has been allocated stock and is now in the last stages of dispatch."; "We expect your order to be dispatched shortly". Each time I responded saying I want to cancel my order, but my request had failed to be acknowledged and the order was shipped 3 days after sending my cancellation request. I am very unhappy with the poor communication and lack of understanding / customer service."

The services provided by this company are absolutely appalling. I am not sure yet if they are a bogus company but in my mind I have no doubt that they are abusing the people that are trying to buy from them.
My story goes like that.
I was trying to by a Samsung phone. The price indicated on their website was GBP 387.99. I have open an account and try to place an order online but since I wanted the phone to be delivered at a different address then the one on which my credit card was issued I could not do it.
Hence I called the sales services, which promptly answered (a call centre some here in India I assume) and told me that they cannot deliver at different address (I wanted the phone to be delivered at my work address not my home address). I have accepted the fact that that’s the company’s policy requires the goods to be delivered at the address of credit card issuance and I have place the order over the phone. Immediately after that I have received an email with the order confirmation and a number for my order.
Few days after I place my order, I have checked the account I have open with the company to see the status of the delivery of my order, and to my surprise my order was not recorded in the system. I have called the sales services to enquire about the situation. The answered promptly but directed me to customers services who are managing all aspects after the sale is done. I called the customer services but they kept me on hold for more than 15 minute till an operator (again somewhere in India) answered. They told me over the phone that my order is withhold pending the verification of my delivery address. I was very surprised about that since they have not notified me about this matter and this should have not been a reason for not registering my order in their system. In the same time I have checked my back account and to my surprised I have found out that the money have already been transferred to their account but not GBP 387.99 as was mentioned in the order but GBP 399.99. I have asked the operator but she told me that is unable to give me any answer and told me to enquire with my bank. She also told me that any farther equerries shall be done on my account online.
Minutes after the phone conversation, I have received and email from the company indicating that they need the proof of my address in a form of a bill, passport or driving license. I scanned my driving licence and sent it to them along with the request to explain why is a difference in the amount my account was debited.
One day after, I have received an email telling me that they need a better scanned version of my driving license although the first one I have send was good enough to see all the required info (… in fact I should have not done it since the money were already out of my account and I had no obligation to send them the proof of my address). Anyway, to be nice guy I have sent them another scanned copy high resolution and in colour asking them the same questions.
After another day I have received another email asking me the same thing: the proof of my address. That’s when I got angry. I called again the customer service to talk to a supervisor. Again after waiting 30 min, someone in India answer to me and they told me that they are unable to answer to my questions and I have to put all my questions in writing on my online account. I send them a message with the same scanned copy of my driving licence and with the query about the amount of money taken out of my account. I told them that if they will not replay quickly and confirm my order I will cancel my order. They did not do it and therefore I have cancelled my order online and I have inform them that following their poor services I no longer want go ahead with the purchase. I have received a conformation of the cancelation of my order and the cancellation order was published in the system ( my account with their website)
The second day, I have received an email from them telling me that now my order is ready to go and they cancelled my cancellation order. I wrote to them and I ask to make the cancelation definitive since I have no reasons to change my mind as I have stated in my latest email. I had no feedback so I had to cancel again online my order which they have annulled without my consent.
Now I am waiting for my money to be reimbursed. WISH ME LUCK!

"I purchased a samsung note 4 for my husband on 3 Oct. It took 7 days of calling and emails to get a confirmation email of my order. It then took a further 7 days of fighting to get delivery. The customer support was apalling.
We received the phone, which when compared to other reviews was quick for value basket.
The phone we received had the tamper seal broken It had been opened. There was no quick start guide, no original samsung paperwork or samsung guarantee. Still no receipt and no warranty. I have no way of telling if the phone was new or refurbished or even STOLEN PROPERTY!!! They gauranteed that all the paperwork including receipt and warranty would arrive with the phone...it didn't. I have spoken to Alice in their customer support. I was told to send them an email....i had. They denied receiving it....just as they did with the order confirmation. I argued that i had no proof that i had purchased the phone from value basket and no 24 month warranty which was guaranteed. Im not so sure about the quality of the warranty as they are so obstructive, talking over you and questioning my integrity. I wish i had never used value basket. I would send the phone back but i can't as i have no proof that i purchased it. Be warned....if you want poor service, poor customer support and poor aftersales advice value basket is for you. For everone else look elsewhere. I would like to think that someone from value basket will contact me to apologise for the poor service that i have received.....maybe that apology has run off with my purchase confirmation, my receipt and my warranty.
