I placed an order for a tablet for a xmas present on the 2nd Dec 2013. Product did not ship in the following two weeks even after chasing by email and telepnone calls to customer service, although my money was taken... I have now cancelled the order and am awaiting my money back. I will chase with my bank. This company is bordering on fraudulent for not honouring their agreed timescales, automated responses to emails and blatant lies regarding stock they claim to have on their web page.
Steer clear!! Pay more and buy your product elsewhere."

"J’ai effectué une commande le 06/09/2013 pour un Nokia Lumia 920 d’un montant de 273,90 €.
Suite à 2 rappel par E-mail, je décide le 21/09/2013 d’annuler la commande pour non respect des délais mentionné dans leur Contrat Général de Vente.
Nous sommes le 14/02/2014 et je n'ai pas encore reçue le remboursement de ma commande passé le 06/09/2013 que j'ai annulé 2 semaines après suite à non respect des délais. Je vous conseil fortement d'éviter d'acheter chez ce marchand : ils prêchent la bonne parole et ont toujours des petits problèmes techniques qui fait que votre avoir n'est jamais effectuer. Est ce que vous avez des adresses de personne hautement placé pour pouvoir défendre nos droit et d'interdire ce commerçant d'exercer afin que d'autres personnes ne tombent pas dans le même cas. Merci."

"I am shocked that a company offering such poor service can still be trading. When I first bought the camera from ValueBasket, I did so from a company that at least appeared legitimate; a smart website and reasonable prices.
My first phone call to the company, having realised my order was taking a while longer than it probably should, left me feeling reassured rather than concerned; my order was apparently upgraded to 'priority' which, having read all the forums on ValueBasket, appears to be the case with everyone; as it says in Disney's The Incredibles 'if everyone is special, no one is'.
I quickly realised all my calls and emails, each answered with a few copy and paste paragraphs from 'how to be good at customer service', were not helping and, when not of my questions could be answered, I gave up. They could not say when my camera was likely to arrive or tell the cause of the delay.
I cancelled my order. Then the problems have really started. Despite emailing and calling every day, I have been told - by different agents - that my refund will take 3/5/7 days to be 'initiated'. I understand that the process to send the money back may take some time when their company is in Hong Kong, but pressed them as to why it would take that long to press a button to 'initiate' it. Again, all replies read 'we are very sorry for you inconvenience we understand times like this can be frustrating etc etc etc'.
All I want is my money to be returned but there is still no sign. Fortunately, RBS will be assisting because of the dispute and hopefully it can then be resolved."

"I cancelled an order with this company and since cancelling the product, I was told it would take a few days to refund. I have since sent 5 emails, and three emails from two different customer service officers came back to me with THREE DIFFERENT EXCUSES I have made numerous calls with one reply we will email you once refund has been initiated. They were very quick to take my money and to cancel the order but even slower refunding my money. The company is a joke and will be taking further action with my bank if I do not receive a payment soon."
