"As far as I am concerned this company is a scam. Supposed to be based in Coventry, UK (definitely not) and Singapore. Ebay UK shows them as being based in Hong Kong. Useless call centre based in the Philippines. No postal address whatsoever.
They respond to emails very quickly but repeat the same useless information ad nauseam. Worryingly they tell me the delay in despatching the expensive phone I ordered was because it was not to hand while the web site showed 23 items in stock.
Have cancelled the order now but whereas they take the money immediately on order completion, it will take up to 10 days to refund the cash. I cannot believe that I got fooled by this company. Be warned, it does have a very slick and credible web site and it is established on Ebay UK but not that many transactions (98.1% transactions) and mostly low value items whereas now they are pushing much more expensive items.
I ma definitely taking this further to the UK authorities.

Now the tablet seems reasonably good fast, sharp etc., nicely packaged - but none of that has anything to do with ValueBasket.co.nz
The wall charger supplied was foreign (ok you expect that) but the clincher was that the plug on the end where you plug it into the tablet - WAS TOO BIG to fit in the hole in the tablet...
When I complained all I got were emails saying "oh we are really sorry" and "we dont know if any of the right size are available or when we might get them" (parapahrased responses...)
How can they not be available for crying out load - Ainol doesnt ship tablets without a charger that fits - It has now been weeks they just keep closing my complaints after they have apologised.
The tablet is a present for my child - i went and bought a multicharger from Jaycar so htat they have a present that works on their birthday, but I shouldn't have to!
You have asked me a number if times to supply details which I have done. About 5 times and very time you basically lie to me then close the complaint ticket
Think VERY CAREFULLY before you send these people any money, prices aren't that low and only buy something if you aren't that worried about getting it or about losing the money."
"What a nightmare ! Ordered my Nexus 4 phone on May 21st. Stuck in customs with no help, neither from ValueBasket (.fr) nor from their delivery service agent. Each one blamed the other. In frustration, I cancelled the order on June 21st. After many emails and complaints, I was told that they would try to stop the delivery and remimburse me as soon as the phone was returned to them. July 12, I ask for an update on my reimbursement. No reply. Today, unwittingly, I accept a package from a coursier...it's the phone I cancelled. I don't want it...I would rather give my money (and more of it) to someone who is honest and treats customers with respect.
Now what? Will I ever get an answer from them? Will they pay for the phone to be shipped back and reimburse me? I so very doubt it. I feel as I have been had.

"I purchased a camera & accessories from Valuebasket.com on 24 May 2013. They have not been able to commit to a delivery date as of 26 Jun 2013 where I cancelled my order. Excuses of no stock & backlogs in delivery were given. However, they were quick to send their sales agent to collect the price difference after I agreed to another camera but they still could not provide an estimated dispatch date.
3 requests for a refund were sent but there is no response.
This is the worst shopping experience I have ever had!
