"I placed an order for a £700+ camera on the 30th May and 26 days later it still has not arrived. I am told the camera is being held in Customs and no date as to when it will be delivered can be given. I have requested ValueBasket to cancel the order and refund my card but they will not until they receive the goods back. Apparently I have to wait until the camera finally arrives to my home and then return it as they are incapable of notifying their courier to simply return it to them directly from Customs. I entered the agreement on the understanding that the goods would be delivered in a timely manner - this has not happened. It is clear that Customer Services are no longer replying to my e-mails.. Please be warned Do Not Use This Seller If You Want To Guarantee Getting Your Goods Or Money Back - I have so far failed to get either and do not know if and when I will. It seems all I can do is register a disputed transaction with my card company and hope I get something back from them. I've learnt the hard way, check where your goods are being shipped from and don't assume cheaper is good... A one star rating is too good for this transaction"

Mi name is Sergio Merchán, from Spain.

The last 4th of June i ordered a samsung galaxy mini sIII, and still i am waiting for it.

I have tried to contact with them via mail since the phone number does not work. They answered to me by mail just a few times but always saying the same "we have your mobile and it will be delivered in a few moments, you will have at your home in two days". ¿Really? Not, three weeks after i do not have mobile neither a number of deliver.

"fraudulent and terrible service.

Their service is shocking and cancelling one's order or receiving a refund is an exercise in frustration. It has been 21 days since I placed my order (the money was taken immediately) and I have subsequently cancelled the order after 20 days which in itself required more emails and demands than I can remember (without receiving the item)........... but NO REFUND until they receive the goods back!!! How long will this take? A year? Forever? (was it sent at all?)

The item was ordered at no small expense for me (£378) and was a gift for my Wife. Needless to say that occasion was ruined and the nightmare is ongoing.

32 (Thirty Two) emails sent today demanding my refund....not one reply. Utter contempt for their customers once they have your hard earned money in their grasp.

Buy from Valuebasket at your own risk, once they have your money they will not let go of it very easily, OR AT ALL!.... BEWARE!!!

Do your friends a favour and warn them as well, help stamp out unethical rogue internet sellers and save someone the agony I am being put through....

"We ordered a Nexus 7 from the French Value basket site. The site makes out that the product is in France and coming from France. After not receiving within 10 days, I phoned them up and found out it was going to the UK first and then to France from HONG KONG!! After a lot of phonecalls, most of the time they don't answer it finally arrived here in France. It took 17 days to arrive. It arrived with an enlgish plug, French adapter and in Cantonese!! I phoned to ask how I was supposed to change it to French or English and the customer support involves emailing a technician who emails you back!!!!!! I received an English plug on the power source with an adapter! great! Very hard to get through on the phone and they still haven't replied to my email. I haven't received a proper invoice with VAT on it, they keep telling me to download it from my account, but its an order not an invoice! they are apparently sourcing a power cable with a French plug on it and not an adapter. Definitely would never go near this site again. Its not what it makes out. it would have been easier, cheaper, safer and I would have got my VAT back by ordering from a more well known and secure site in france or UK. definatley avoid this site."

They say that they have stock but not meet delivery deadlines.
This order try to cancel twice before being sent.
They ignored and they sent me a tracking number to say that they had already sent it, but they sent the order of sent but without package.
Today I am without the money or the goods.

"I ordered a Canon Camera Lens (order number 70510 – 229484 in case I get accused of not being a true customer of Valuebasket !!) on the 28th May 2013 with a promise from their website that they usually dispatch in 1 to 3 working days and delivered in 7 to 10 working days.
My money was debited from my credit card straight away on the 28th.
Their web site showed they had 22 of them in stock at that time.
On the 7th June 2013 the order was till showing on their website as being “made ready” this was 9 working days from date of order. How long can it take to pick an item from a shelf, put it in a postage bag and post it ???
So I contacted them using their “contact us” website form expressing concern that my item had not even been dispatched.

To my surprise I was E Mailed back within 24hours by Customer Service Officer ValueBasket.com stating that “due to a sudden large influx of daily sales generated by our latest promotions, our dispatch times have been slightly affected and thus resulting in unfortunate delays” and that she was going to keep a close eye on my order. She further stated that “dispatch should be expected anytime next week but we will push for the earliest possible time” and stated she was going to “expedited delivery service at no extra cost to you as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused”

I thought OK lets see what happens. On Monday the 10th June 2013 I got an unannounced text message from DPD (Dynamic Parcel Distribution) that an item with tracking number was going to be delivered to me on the 12th June 2013. I thought great, I’ll arrange the day off and wait in to sign for the item.
I was getting concerned on the 11th June 2013 as the DPD website still showed that they were awaiting to receive the parcel in Newbury.
It was then I got an E Mail from a Customer Experience Manager at Valuebasket.com stating that “Good news! Your order (229484) has now been shipped, and is expected to arrive in the next couple of business days. I will be keeping an eye on progress on your behalf to ensure that everything goes smoothly with the delivery”. She supplied the same tracking number as DPD had texted me the day before.

I was staring to get sceptical, but gave them and DPD the benefit of the doubt as I had previously ordered camera equipment from another Hong Kong based company “Panamoz” and had it delivered within 48 hours of placing the order.
Sure enough by yesterday afternoon nothing had arrived and the DPD website tracking page still showed that they had not received my parcel.
I then sent Valuebasket customer care and E Mail asking what was happening and also tried to contact by phone DPD (don’t waste your time there it’s all automated and they just tell you to contact your sender / supplier.
Needless to say that by today 13th June 2013 neither DPD or valuebasket had replied, even though I might add that they have found time only a couple of hours ago to come onto this website to respond to negative feedback.

I am now extremely concerned as to where my order is and if I have lost all of my money. As a last ditched attempt before writing this review I have tried phoning their UK customer care number 0203 384 0338 which just rings and rings and no one answers and have sent off this morning yet another contact request form from their web site with no reply.
This experience and the experience of others here is similar to other experiences I’ve had and indicative of a companies which are struggling to obtain credit for stock to sell because they are going insolvent, and advertising items they don’t actually have whilst taking your money in order to increase their cash flow.

Unless it’s proven to me by Valuebasket that this is not the case by me actually receiving my item in the next 48hrs I will seek legal and financial redress and would strongly advise people to go elsewhere. I would also consider carefully for yourselves the “validity” of any recent positive feedback as it seems in stark contrast to the negative feedback being posted here.

Interestingly after I started leaving negative feedback on review sites about an hour or more ago now I have received another E Mail from customer services blaming “delay caused by the clearance check” !!

"Item (Fuji FinePix X10) never delivered, money never paid back (despite continuous tracking since 2 months). They provide wrong information about the availability of products. They don't pay any taxes (there are based in Hong-Kong), that explains their low prices. They take the money as soon as you order. They answer in french using automatic translators."

"Stay well away from this company....received a Go Pro Camera as a gift in January and all looked good..until I tried to load the latest software from the Go Pro website, I entered my serial number and was told my serial number was not recognised! I called the Go Pro support line and when I informed them of the issue i was having and gave them my serial number I was told that no such serial number is on any of their items! All serial numbers on GO PRO camears are 15 characters long and mine is only 12 characters long! Go Pro have confirmed it is definitely a counterfeit!

I called Value Basket customer services and when they eventually answered their phones I was told that my warranty has expired even though it was not my warranty I was calling about and rather the fact that they had sold me counterfeit goods! To say their customer service was diabolical is rather an understatement, I was also informed by the call center lady that there were only 2 ladies answering phones in the ENTIRE UK??

They are frauds so you have been warned!

"This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a company of any kind. If I could give them no stars I would! I ordered Beats headphones on 22nd March when there were allegedly 4 in stock (usual dispatch time it claims is 3 - 5 days) around 10 days later they had not been dispatched. These were a 30th birthday present for my partner so it was important I got them on time. I never received an email to say that they were out of stock, I was only told after I enquired as to why they hadn't been dispatched. After numerous emails all of which claiming they would dispatch by the end of the week I received them nearly 5 weeks after my order and they were faulty! I got back to them the same day requesting a refund and they said someone would collect the faulty headphones. They eventually collected them and confirmed them as dead stock but not until 15th May when they told me a refund takes around 2 - 5 business days. It has now been 11 business days and they have not even started the refund process, whenever I email them they tell me 'rest assured it will be within the next couple of days'. I just tried to call them and it has been ringing for over 60 minutes to attempt to get through to customer service, I called sales and they answered straight away but told me they couldn't help me and I just received an email asking me to confirm the Paypal address for the refund, if they didn't know that then how have they allegedly been dealing with it all this time?! 10 weeks after I purchased them I have nothing to show for it, all I want now is the money back ASAP as I have had enough."
