"My experience with Value basket is the worst experience I have had with any delivery website. It took them an age to deliver the item, which they stated was delayed for quality check.. once delivered the item broke within a few weeks, it was returned for repairs and it has not been returned to me as I write this,(nearly 9 weeks later), in fact they cant even give me an update on the problem with the item or a likely return date . in fact... since order over 4 months ago they have had the item longer than I have...Avoid...."

"Claimed they had item in stock and ready for dispatch. 20 Days and countless emails later it still has not been dispatched and their response continues to be "next week". Still shows in stock and ready to ship on item page. They view the customer and with contempt and seem not to care that they are in clear breach of Australian consumer law. Would be interested in launching a class action."

I placed my order on the 29/03/2013 and it's still in order handling status on the 10/04/2013.

Now the customer service rep im dealing with is telling me that it's a logistical issue and my order should be shipped next week. So much for shipping in 3-5 days. The funny thing is, i was told last week that it wasn't a logistical issue holding up the order, but that they were waiting for stock and it should be shipped.... next week.

Anyway, don't buy unless you have a lot of patience for false advertising companies. Oh and everything they sell is shipped from Hong Kong."

"A fuss-free shopping experience that I've recently discovered by chance. Initially, I was a little hesitant to purchase the Panasonic Lumix LX7 Digital Camera (Black) from ValueBasket.com as it's still relatively a new website that we've never come across.

However, the fact that they offer cash on delivery (with additional $15 charged though) provided an added assurance that it can be trusted.

Anyhow, I ordered my camera on 18th March 2013 and received it 1 week later via DHL shipment right to my door step!
Camera was in pristine condition and I only paid SGD $489 for it!

"Received the goods in about 8 days after I placed the order. The cost is reasonable and at times cheaper. It is well packed and protected. Have not really tested the customer service response or rma as I just started to buy from valuebasket."

"I was lead to believe that valuebasket was a local company. There is a local physical address, phone number and website. But when I ordered the goods it was shipped from Hongkong not a locally.

This means you can have additional costs like customs/GST. It would of been cheaper to buy local or buy from another eCommerce site. I didnt get a tax invoice, and was effectively paying a 15% premium for the products.

Good service, but there website should be clearer its not local, so you know prices are exclusive of GST."
