"I ordered a white kids t-shirt with a printed photo (mine) on the front. The basic t was £12 odd and total with printing and P&p was £18.62 so I was expecting terrific quality. It isn't - just cheap - but it arrived in time for me to take away on hols to my nephew. The photo is of him and its his 6th birthday. I haven't time to buy anything else. I feel disappointed and cheated and won't be using them again. I have complained and am awaiting a reply."

"ordered 250 business cards and 100 flyers all looked good but price went up and up.
liked the look of the flyers untill today when i went to a proper printers just to get a price on 10,000 flyers first, quality of the vista print ones are poor and are smaller than a standard a5 size when compared to different samples from another printers. business cards are smaller and the feel isnt as nice as a proper sized card.my local printers has printed 10,000 flyers for me saving me around £200 on vista print price.
in conclusion support your local printers you get better service you can visit them and talk to someone face to face and their much cheaper.
if like me this was the first time you ordered any cards or flyers for a new business then shop around dont jump in feet first before ordering a large amount glad i only ordered a small amount of each only lost out on around £50 the cards and flyers will be good for spares if i ever run out."

"Mugs were created the day after I placed the order. The downloadable Photoshop template made image creation easy. I paid for delivery in 7 days, arrived in 5 days which included a weekend. Mugs were packaged well & the images looked great! It was kind of strange to be offered additional mugs at checkout at a cost that was higher than the initial order."

"I contacted vistaprint when we received the cards last year. we were disatisfied with the quality and additionally a white line was left on the side of the cards which needs to be cut off one by one, by us!there was no response given nor a resolution.

"I just got 250 name cards today. The TV commercial said $10/250 cards. After adding this and that, total cost was $35. It took 2 weeks to get here.

I could pay the same price to go to a local printing company that I ordered a few times in the past having everything customized. And got the within less than 2 weeks.

When we got the cards, the box was too big. The cards were bend. The quality of the printing was not impressive either. I definitely will not spend another penny on this company again."

"Unreliable and non-customer friendly company.
I placed a check order. Was given a confirmation number and delivery date after 16 days of the order. I did not receive my order. On the 17th day I called them and they mention that my payment did not go through and my order was not executed. Their system gives no notification to the customer if the payment fails. On top of that, they were unwilling to expedite and wanted at least 14 more days to re-order and deliver. Very unreliable company!"

"Tips for VistaPrint customers:

1. Plan ahead. They make money on urgency.
2. Be on their mailing list. That's where you get all the discounts.
3. Be certain that everything you want is on one order. Combining shipping on separate orders is not very likely (I just asked while I was on the phone with them). Ask everyone you know if they need business cards and other collateral because the shipping will be only incrementally higher.
4. When ordering business cards, if you need 3000, order 2000. The screen after the checkout will give you a 10-minute offer to buy an extra 1000 cards at a very low cost with shipping included. When ordering 1500 cards, order 1000 and then order 500 on that screen. I've done this multiple times.
5. Join VistaPrint ProAdvantage at http://www.vistaprint.com/proprint.aspx As of September 2012, it is FREE to be a Basic member. You can FREE proofs, image uploads (I spent a lot of money on that...), and finally you get discounted shipping. Both are important.
6. Experiment with various links. VistaPrint's pricing changes a lot depending on which coupon code or which link you used to access the site. I've saved up to 90% in some cases when helping my friends try to navigate the site. You can design the documents and put them in your portfolio and then try to re-price them with different coupons and entry links.

Because your image uploads are now free and so are the proofs, you can save a ton of money.

You can upload all the graphics to them and use the online interface to design your documents. You can also design them on your computer.

When you design your documents, and you are a Pro Advantage member, take advantage of their PDF Proof feature. That will eliminate the potential of ordering something that looks bad. Ideally, you would view that proof on a color-callibrated screen because accurate colors are vital in print production and your printed materials may not match your on-screen colors otherwise.

The $4.99/image upload charge is really annoying when you are not a Pro Advantage member. I wish I knew about this sooner!

Finally, this is what you can accomplish if you are a savvy VistaPrint customer:

8'x2.5 horizontal banner + 6x2.5' horizontal banner + 1500 full-color folded business cards on matte finish + 7-day shipping/processing - $120.47. $34.02 of that was shipping. I took advantage of 50% off promo on all items.

3x1.6' vertical banner + 3-day rush shipping/processing $8.46 (the banner was FREE as part of my email exclusive offer, which is why I ordered it :) Why would I order that banner? When I go to a networking event, I find myself near tables. I will hang it and let curious people come to me.

5000 full color double-sided cards on matte paper with VistaPrint's stock design - $99.72, $25 of that was 3-day shipping/processing. Not the best deal ever since it wasn't for me, but pretty decent.

1500 full color cards (11.73) + B&W back side ($6.99) on matte paper. 7-day shipping/processing $14.80. Order total $33.52 (for 1500 cards ;)

Before that order, which was a re-order under some 90% off promotion, however, I had to initially design the card, so it initially cost me $39.99 for 1000 cards + $4.99 for back side + (3)x$4.99 for uploads. So that was $61.94. I also had another 500 different cards on that order that cost me $34.98 (full color 1-side + 1 upload). 3-day rush shipping/processing on those 1500 cards was $33.31.

I've been a VistaPrint customer since at least 2005 if not earlier. I see my orders dating back to 2005. I have no reason not to rate them 5 stars.

By the way, their customer service is state of the art. I called them several times and had all of my concerns addressed very quickly. You are not calling India. :)"
