I understand that issues can arise, but I expected at least some form of transparency.

"I had ordered some pretzels. I thought they would put one of those cardboard protectors around it. The large 4-5 lb tub of oxobrite had a protector around it dividing from the other 3 items…showing some thought to separate out the heaviest item. But why not put a protector around the 1 item that was most fragile as all the other items had weight???? unfortunately when the package arrived the 2 of the still heavy items were on top of the pretzels. Hence I received crumbs instead of pretzels. I still gave 3 stars because Vitacost does pack and ship quickly and items were received efficiently. They can do MUCH better with their concept of what gets protection and how to protect it. "
