"I know Walmart tends to have the attitude that they are bigger than us but I have to admit my three online ship to store orders were flawless and savings were very substantial. "I ordered an LCD screen at Walmart.com to be delivered to a store near a trade show we where were exhibiting.

The price was Great!!
It arrived right on time- and the store held it for us until we could pick it up!

Upon arriving, my rep had to wait an hour for them to actually bring the screen out to her but- that was the individual store/worker.

In the end it saved us a couple hundred dollars and when we raffled it off- we got A LOT of potential customers.
Thanks Walmart!

"They sent me a queen sized air bed instead of a twin. I told them this via email. They responded that they needed up to 5 business days to investigate. (Seems to me any "investigation" would take seconds, since the barcode would have been scanned when item was boxed for shipping, and they could easily see that it doesn't match what it says on the packing slip.) Anyway, those 5 days have passed, and they still want more time to "investigate.""

"Site to store was a very positive experience for me through and through. Placing the s2s order on walmart.com was pretty easy, and even though my item arrived at the store later than it would have at my residence, the store delivery date was exact to the very day estimated. Since my pickup store is really close by, I chose to save on shipping, and combine my pick-up with a shopping run.

Picking up the item in the store was quite easy as well. An employee checked my ID, got my name and looked up my order. On top of that, she opened the FedEx box and had me check it was the right item. I really appreciated this simple 30 second exercise. Being able to confirm right at the store is great.

Another thing I noticed from site to store is that the sales tax is calculated based on the store location, not your residence. This actually ended up saving me some money, as my residence and local store are in two different cities.

If you need an order sooner than later or have a horrible local store, having it shipped would be the way to go. Otherwise I would recommend site to store shipping, if available.

"Pitaful! Placed two orders on the site with free site to store shipping. First one shipped FedEx to the store a week later and the second one keeps changing expected dates now two weeks out. I could have made the items myself in China and shipped them here faster."

"It has been awful. I ordered site to store shipping. They debited my credit card on 1/27, and the product was less than 1 hour away at the distribution facility from the final destination 1/31. Despite a couple of days of bad weather, I have yet to receive my product it is now 2/6. The only reason I ordered on line, is the exact same product was $20 more in the retail store and they would not price match. I contacted customer service who would not allow me to cancel and just said "sorry be patient" this has been awful and I still do not have my product."

"As a recent customer of Walmart.com;
I would like to inform all future buyers that
the information on their site may not be correct. I bought a television
that was supposed to have a 1 year manufacture and parts warranty
I recieved the tv in a box that had nearly been destroyed and upside down via site to store shipping.
The manufacturer's slip said only 90 day warranty. 1 month later and countless hours
lost I recieved only $26.75 for my troubles. I was told there is fine
print on the site that allowed for such mistakes and that they could not do anything else
Every call center employee has verified that the site does say 1 year warranty. I was told that
I would be called by the merchandising team but 4 weeks later recieved no contact at all from Walmart.com.
Even the associate at the store was shocked at shipping conditions. The product may be fine but
beware that Walmart.com is not!

"I've ordered Walmart Site to Store for three years now. I like it. I've had no problems. This year I ordered some Walmart online only, package mail only items for Christmas presents. I was impressed by how swiftly they arrived. Walmart online includes buyer comments or reviews & it does not appear to exercise any editorial control.

I've read some harsh complaints about slow shipping from site to store. I would ignore them unless the buyer states exactly how long s\he has been waiting or how long it took. You also need to know the Walmart Store location.

Walmart is a huge coorporation. You can be sure that a huge company is going to have a few poorly running stores or a poorly run region. You need to know when. A store or region is not likely to remain permanently poorly run. I would dismiss out of hand a buyer who claims "no one cared. No one would look into my problem". Just ask yourself, can you truly imagine any Walmart general manager ignoring a legitimate customer that an ordered product has not arrived & floor level staff will not help? In the rare one off that a person runs up against a manager who is losing it (and thus is on his way out), can you imagine his boss or the corporate office ignoring a complaint like that?

Walmart Online could improve. They have several different systems going on @ Walmart Online. There is site to store (which involves no shipping charges). There are many online only items for which shipping is charged. There appear to be a few other categories that are not at all clearly explained. There are retailers similar to Amazon marketplace sellers and there are retailers and order fullfillment sellers whose status Walmart does not explain. Meanwhile, I would make sure I order only directly from Walmart.

The confusion extends to the level of individual items. You can buy an item assuming Walmart is the seller, only to learn after you receive it that some other entity sold it to you.

Walmart really needs to upfront clearly explain the different ways buyers purchase items and item descriptions must consistently indicate whether or not its being sold directly by Walmart.

Finally, Walmart needs to fire the executive who came up with the goofy 1980s Kmart "idea" to sharply limit choices in their stores. Just I found decreasing reason to visit a Kmart store in the 1980s and 1990s, I rarely ever visit a Walmart store anymore. If it weren't for the choices and prices offered Online by way of site to store, I would not shop Walmart at all.

"Walmart.com was having a sale on an item that can only be purchased at Walmart.com. It was a dutch oven from a company called Tramontina. I was lucky enough to get the item before it sold out.
I was even surprised to find that, while Walmart does not have an actual location in New York, they will ship to NY via FedEx for free and all you need to do is pick up the item from the FedEx location.

Just the thought of FedEx should have made me run the other way, but I thought – it’s free shipping and it’s not far away so – why not take the chance.

Big mistake.

Mistake number 2 – while I had been receiving steady updates from Walmart.com, it turns out FedEx does whatever the hell it wants. So while Walmart.com was emailing me that I had 2 weeks to pickup my package – FedEx returns the package after only 5 days. Sure enough, I go to FedEx to get my package and it has already been sent back.

Mistake number 3 – I never checked prior to purchase, but when I went to complain to Walmart about this mistake I discovered they deal strictly in email. When I sent my email, I received an automated response basically – blah blah blah – your item is ready to pick up here’s what you need to do to pick it up.

Mistake number 4 – I found the number for Walmart.com and got some kid, probably working for the store for the holiday, who was nice, but had to keep putting me on hold to speak to a supervisor about my issue. When I finally asked to speak to the supervisor, they refused to take my call and insisted I saw on the website at the time of purchase the warning about FedEx’s policy.

Who is handling this, Walmart or FedEx? This place is a joke. Unless you have a Walmart in your location stay away. On second thought, just stay away.

"I typically do not shop at Walmart, and I made an exception this time, mistakenly. I will NEVER do that again.
I was horribly disappointed in this service. Not only have I NOT received the product I bought and paid for, I cannot get anyone to provide a response on what happened!!!!! I have emailed countless addresses numerous times, but no one replies. I also cannot find a phone number to call anyone to get more details on the issues or at least get a credit for the product I didn't receive. I am starting to think I just got ripped off. Just convinces me this is what is wrong with the world and I will never support a corrupt organization that obviously doesn't care about the consumer. I urge all other consumers to consider being the possibility of being put in this same situation and do the same.
