"I just completed the 105 hour HDVR2 TwinBreeze upgrade with the advanced cooling package. The instructions were clear and the upgrade was easily done with the tools provided plus 1 Phillips screwdriver. All the parts were neatly organized and came in a well padded box. The completed upgrade from turn-off to turn-on took 1 hour including time to clean out the 2 years of accumulated dust. The rubber grommets on the new fans were a nice touch and the noise level remained very low like the original. The TIVO booted without a hitch and the system information screen confirmed the upgrade to 144 hours and also reported the internal temps as normal at 35 degrees. Very nicely thought-out and fairly priced package. Would do it again without any hesitation.

recommendation. I placed the order on 2/2 and received a package on 2/9.
Very good turnaround for free shipping! I purchased a 40 hour Tivo knowing
that I had a spare 120GB drive that I could use or add. I was expecting
flimsy bracket and cheap components. I must say everything it top notch. I
think that the bracket could hold up to space shuttle reentry. Instructions
found at http://www.upgrade-instuctions.com for the driver prep along with
your included instructions for the hardware made it a snap. I am very
satisfied. I will recommend you to anyone that will listen. I will thank my
friend in the morning for his referral to your site! Total install time
less than 30 minutes. (I read everything twice) Next time it will take

"Everything about my order was good. It shipped very fast. The instructions were extremely precise and easy to understand. It must have taken them a while to make instructions for every single type of unit. It shows pictures and everything. It was actually kind of fun. It took me an hour to install the upgrade. I just took my time and followed the instructions. I now have 155 hours compared to my previous 35 hours. The upgrade cost me $169.00 and the shipping was free. The only negative thing that I can say is that I wish it was a little cheaper. A couple of other places had the a comparable upgrade for a little less but they also did not have the good ratings like Weaknees does and I could not find much information on them or their equipment. I chose Weaknees for a reason. I would definitely purchase from them again.

"Great product. I bought the Tivo Upgrade (Add) kit, that lets you keep the original factory hard drive, and add a second, larger drive. Ny Tivo went from 40 hour capacity to 230 hours!
The kit was great, with VERY clear instructions and ALL necessary parts (even the tools, except a phillips screwdriver, which everyone would have already). Unless you are a complete computer novice (and maybe even if you ARE), this upgrade will be a piece of cake.

"I found Weaknees through Google. After reviewing their website and checking other web references, I decided they were worth trying.

I received my drive four days after ordering and their use of Fed-Ex allowed me to track the package. Replacing my drive took 12 minutes and I didn’t hurry. Their instructions were easy to follow. My old Tivo Series 1 came right back up and I repeated the setup process. The unit works flawlessly – my old hard drive was slowly failing and I’d get a jittery picture at times – and the new one is larger and much quieter. I know my way around a computer, but I’m sure my wife (who doesn’t) could have handled this in all of 15 minutes. I’ve got more capacity and I am pleased with my customer experience. I thank them for doing it right, and I hope their business continues to grow.

"This is one of the easiest transactions I have done on line. I received my new hard drive the next day and as they say on their website it takes minutes to install. I upgraded from a 30 hour drive to a drive that handles something like 130 hours, I will probably never get this much programming on it but it is nice to know I can go on vacation for three weeks and all of my programming still gets recorded. The only recommendations I would make is "what your machine does" once the drive is installed, it was so easy I thought I broke it when the screen said it may take up to three days to retreive the programming information (it only took one night). Also I had to call Directv to reset my Tivo but that is already mentioned. This is so fast and easy and I highly recommend this seller. I would purchase from them again without hesitation. "The website was educational and helped me select exactly what I needed for the type of system I have. I bought a 160GB hard drive (to augment the 40GB drive in the TiVo series 2 I received for Christmas) and was very pleased with how quickly the package arrived (the day after I ordered -- not too bad for free shipping!), the quality of the contents and the clarity of the
instructions. I made a couple of mistakes upgrading my box but they weren't fatal. (I originally put the master drive on the bracket backwards, which was easily remedied, and I only used one spacer for each of the screws
which bolt the bracket to the chassis, which was also easy to remedy). It's all back together and working like a charm, with 100+ hours of record time at the high-quality setting. Yum! I was especially impressed with how professional-looking
the installation looked once I was finished with it; if I hadn't known what the device looked like before, I would have assumed that this is the way it came from the factory. It looks clean!
