My current cell phone died before my contract with cingular expired. I thought that I was extending my contrat with cingular for 2 more years when in fact, I was signing up for a new account with a new phone number. My order was not processed promptly; I kept recieving emails asking for missing information. They even asked me to send them a copy of my drivers license and social security card to verify my account information with cingular!!! Had I not called called Cingular to check on this I would have been stuck with TWO phone bills! The other gripe I have with them is that it states in the email that the amount to be paid will be collected when my order is approved and the phone is shipped. One day after I ordered the phone and BEFORE my order was approved, my online banking showed that the transaction is pending. Needless to say I have cancelled my order and was told that the money will be refunded in 2-3 business days...We'll see what happens."
"I ordered my Verizon service and phone and received it in record time. I have no complaint about the actual merchandise. However, after I got my phone and activated it, I was told that there is actually no local service in my area. I can dial out with no problem because there are no roaming charges, but my next door neighbor can't call me from her land line phone without incurring long distance fees. I called Verizon and was told that I will probably not be able to get a totally LOCAL number for a year or so. The bad thing is that I've already cancelled my Cingular service and incurred early termination fees, so I will have to keep the Verizon service. I think Wirefly should probably do more research before selling phones and service in certain areas without researching coverage areas. "

"very pleased with MY phone...2nd. phone is taking a day or two to become activated, due to keeping old number. won't cancel alltell until husbands is fully connected. reception and clarity are great with phone#1 and we are grateful for this as we have always been told we live in a "dead" area. it is a rural,woodsy area. reception is also good inside the prison building where I work and that is a complete novelty for me as there was no signal at all with the old connection. our order was immediately approved, but as it was late Friday, the weekend slowed down delivery. can't complain because we ordered on friday and received order on Monday. halleluh and thank you....anne"

"I ordered my cell phone and service from Wirefly. I have two major problems with them: First, the rebates they advertise are impossible to get. The company that handles the rebates will deny the rebate and when you call, they give you the run-around and tell you they'll reprocess it, but they never do. Second, they advertise one plan, and the cell phone company ends up giving you a different (ie, less minutes but more expensive) plan."

The only negative factor in this process is they gave me an area code which is about 100 miles away from where I live. So I had to call verizon in order to get it changed so now Im hoping that will not affect my rebates."
