"I brought the Motorola V188 from this site. The customer service is horriable, when you call on some problem with the order, they will not under stand the problem. they will read the same answer again again for your question. i never saw such a bad customer service.
They did not tell me any thing about the shipping and handling but they charged me high shipping cost. (but the web site says free shipping). regarding this if you speak with them the customer service representative just read the answer from paper, really they will not try to solve your problem.
mail-in rebates, they will ask you to submit between 180-210 days. most of the people forget about submitting these.
rather i love to buy it from Amazon.com or Buy.com"
"Rebates on my cell phones have not yet been recieved even though the processing time listed on the rebate form has passed. All rebate requirements were met exactly as listed on the rebate form."
"I would never buy from them again, they advertise heavily but do not buy from them. They have horrible customer service, nothing in stock, poor delivery, you will wait for more than 30 minutes to speak to someone."
"I purchased a $200 RAZR phone through Wirefly which had a $200 rebate. The rebate form was supposed to come with the phone. It did not. I went onto the wirefly website and clicked the link to the rebate form and received a page not found error. Multiple requests for a rebate form have gone ignored. After a little research, there are dozens of websites dedicated to showing the fraud from thsi company."
"I will join the chorus of people here who have been ripped off similarly and who would like to file a class action lawsuit.
I purchased my phone through the internet site wirefly. I filed rebate forms according to the intricate procedure. The is no record of me in the internet website identified on the rebate forms. I contacted "customer service" and was told my forms were probably lost in the mail. Both of them. Even though they were mailed in separate envelopes. And nothing else has ever been lost. Gee, what are the odds? Supervisor wouldn't help and wouldn't transfer me to a manager. Wouldn't identify the company name, address or phone number and eventually hung up on me when I persisted in asking for contact information.
I clicked on the BBB logo in the www.cellphonerebates.com website and found the name of Continental Promotions Inc. in Scottsdale AZ, with >400 complaints lodged against them in the past year. I filed another complaint through the Scottsdale AZ BBB, which is pending. I complained to T-Mobile because this company represents them. T-Mobile dodged responsibility but gave me the name and a phone number at Inphonic, so I complained there as well. Turns out I was calling India. The service rep said he would "escalate" the complaint and someone would call me. After 2 weeks, nobody has. I also Emailed to Inphonic customer service and billing departments.
I received responses to my Emails to Inphonic and Continental Promotions “customer service” departments. They use the same text verbatim in parts of their responses. The forms were lost in the mail, they say. They suggest I remail, but only give a partial address. They are non-responsive when I write repeatedly asking for the full address. I remail to the address on the original form, but I want a specific person to whom I can mail for accountability. No response. They do tell me repeatedly that now it is past the deadline so the remailed forms won't be honored no matter who they go to.
Inphonic’s billing department also responded to me. This anonymous individual related that the company has a 6-10 week backlog of rebate forms to enter. I should check back after 10 weeks. A few days later, Inphonic customer service follows up by sending an Email saying the forms were lost and they "can't" help me.
"
"$300 rebates promised. Submitted all paperwork, certified return receipt. Rebates denied for false reason. No customer service or supervisor available to help. Multiple websites popping up saying this is a huge problem."
"Wirefly is called inphonic, liberty, younevercall...

"This is another one of the "Free Phone" sites. They charge you full price for your phone then offer you a rebate which you must wait 180 days to use. Also, you must keep the receipt and UPC and send it to them before 210 days expire or will not receive the rebate.
When you order from them and give them all of the information they request, a few hours later you will receive an email which says "We need to verify your Social Security Number. Please call 1-800-xxxx with this information". When you call, you will be calling Bangalore, India and if you are American you will probably have trouble understanding the person. They will ask you for the same information you gave Wirefly an hour ago. Then they ask you to Fax a copy of your Social Security card and Driver's License to India. Whoa!! The website said nothing about this. When you get to this point, CANCEL your order. I have never in my 50+ years have been asked to send copies of these documents to anyone for anything I have purchased. Recently I bought a new Cadillac and they asked to see my Driver's License but never my Social Security card, let alone make copies! So for a lousy $100 phone I will not send my personal info to India and I suggest you do not.
Stay away from this company and Inphonic, which seems to be running most of the Free Phone scams in the USA. Instead, go directly to the Carrier you wish to use, such as TMobile, Cingular or Verizon and stay away from the free phone with rebate scams."
"Luckily, i was able to cancel my order. But, my friend has been on the phone for the past hour trying to get a link to one of his rebates. What a nightmare. How is this company still allowed to do business. Unbelievable!"
"I was very disappointed to get the rebate fine print and see i had to wait 5 months before applying, then had a 60 day window to get the rebate approved. Of course WireFly found multiple reasons to deny the rebate, all bogus."
"I bought a RAZR V3 from Wirefly over the phone. I was supposed to get a 199.99 rebate after 6 months of continuous usage. When I applied for the rebate they said there was none. When I asked for the return number they told me they need time to "investagate". Today I insisted on a return number. This is bait and switch. It is illegale in the stte I'm from. I'm sure they were trying to stall me untill the return by date expired."
"Verizon Wireless gave me a $150.00 credit for the rebate that Wirefly stole from me. I hope that Verizon will drop Wirefly. They are dirty dealing dogs. Never ever buy anything from Wirefly/Inphonic."
"WireFly activated my phones on 10/31/05. I paid the express fee to have the phones delivered NEXT day. After several days of calling, the phones were finally shipped on 11/2/05 and delivered to FedEx location for pickup on 11/3/05. My phone stopped working on 11/30/05. I spoke with a WireFly rep and was informed that I was not within the 30 days. In actuality, phone shipped date was 11/2/05; phone arrival date 11/3/05. Express fee was NEVER credited back to my account - - they kept that even though they didn't deliver and I am penalized because of their delay in shipping the phones. Bottomline...I have a broken phone and they are unwilling to resolve within their time frame. YOU WON'T GET CUSTOMER SATISFACTION WITH WIREFLY...SHOP ANYWHERE EXCEPT WIREFLY.COM...ENTICE YOU WITH PRICES BUT VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND YOU ARE GUARANTEED NOT TO BE SATISFIED."
"They lost me ay hello. I have had months of problems with this company from the setup which was easy when I set it up with them. To the delivery which was not what I wanted. I got the wrong phone and they tole me I had the right one. Then they said they were going to send me the right one and they didnt. I had to unmess the way they had my account set up with cingular. And now I am stuck with a phone I didnt want and in a 2 year contract to boot. I wouldnt recomend them to my worst enemy."
"Item was delivered, but they are trying to go back on their advertised rebate offer. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY."
