I emailed them to ensure compatibility with my handheld device and was assured that it would work with my handheld computer. I purchased the product but unfortunately they were wrong and the wireless card is NOT compatible with my device. I've made several attempts to contact them (phone and e-mail) and still have had no luck. If you know EXACTLY what you need and that is compatible with your device, then cooler express is for you. If you need to get specific technical information on a product, then there are far better choices out there"

I needed a cpu cooler since my old one died. I ordered a new one through coolerExpress.com. It arrived to me BROKEN. It was clearly not damaged during shipping, but probably from manufacturing. Either way I thought "no problem" I will do a cross-shipping and I don't care if they charge me for another one until they get there broken one back.
They told me they can't cross-ship if it is damaged. I need a cooler NOW, I can't wait 2 weeks (1 for them to get it and 1 for me to get the new one)!!
Not only will they not do a cross-shipping, but they charge me a 15% restocking fee!! They will get fully reimbursed from the manufacturer, why charge me the 15% when they won't even try to get me a working fan?!?
This website is complete FRAUD!!
They mail you broken items, then they won't honor there Terms of Service which clearly states they will cross-ship to you if the item is defective, THEN they charge you 15% restocking fee!!
For all I know they ship damaged items on purpose just to get 15% free money from consumers.
I am very upset that they wouldn't try to help me out. I don't care about $2, it is an ethics issue to me.
I hope nobody else has to deal with this issue.

"This company is ridiculous. I ordered a $70.76 package to be delivered to my apartment. FedEx shows the package was delivered to the front door but nobody knocked. After calling Cooler Express "support" they blame FedEx for not requiring a signature by the recipient. Wrong. FedEx requires a signature by recipient by DEFAULT. You have to opt to release a package without one under their terms and conditions. That's exactly what Cooler Express does - they do not require your package to be signed for. Think again about ordering a couple hundred bucks from them, eh? I will never do business with a company that doesn't care that their customers get the products. Someone at FedEx stole my package because no signature was required."
"Ordered 4 keyboards, took a little while to get only to find out 20 days later that there was a shipping address problem and they are going to add another $6 dollars to my charge for THEIR inconveniece. They insist it was all my fault but the keyboards mysteriously show up at the correct address, but they don't have the correct address according to them."

Turns out Hitachi and IBM have a partnership and it is a valid substitution. Talked to both CoolerExpress and FedEx and the breakdown was this: FedEx would come get the package and evaluate it. CoolerExpress would file the claim with FedEx. In the meantime, I would have no case and no refund until CoolerExpress received payment from FedEx. Estimated time: 4-6 weeks. Absolutely rediculous... what am I supposed to do in the meantime? I have no case, and I'm out the $100 I paid... Some customer service. Assuming the case is still functional.. I'm just going to keep it as opposed to dealing with all the hassel."

"The actual purchasing experience was 100%. That was until I received my product and it did not work. With minimal technical support they finally realized it did not work. Then after filling out a form that i have to wait for before i can send it back, which i still have not gotten a confirmation, all i have to do is pay for the shipping back and wait another 14 days for a hopefully working product. "Placed order for a vx500+ monitor on a Sun night. My credit card was charged 396.97 instead of 369.97. Phoned them on Thu afternoon to find out if it had been shipped & to notify of overcharge. Was told it would be shipped that day, well past the 24-48 hour promised time. They phoned me back about a half hour later & advised that they didn't have the vx500+ model in stock, only the vx500. I ended up cancelling the order. A total waste of time."
"Got the product very fast, easy to use website, well packed. However, product did not work as advertised (said it would work with a KVM, but it does not, either in Windows or Mac). Emailed company - haven't received response yet, must be closed on weekends. Hoping they are willing to help ... at least it was only $15."
