"It was fast and easy and got my glasses on time "
"I get my eyes examined every two year and this year my Ophthalmologist changed my prescription. I ordered a replacement pair for my old Zenni glasses a specified the standard (far) progressive lens. After they arrived I immediately noticed that I could not see distant objects clearly, only near and mid range. I checked the order and was surprised to find that these glasses had been crafted for mid (and near) vision! I called the Zenni rep to discuss, and he checked and confirmed that my original order had been for standard progressives, NOT mid as delivered. He agreed that it was NOT my error, the original order was for far, but somehow the order had been altered at the factory to mid. The only solution he could offer was for me to first send these glasses back to Zenni, where they would either repair, or credit my account, or maybe not? In the meantime I would be without my new prescription glasses and would also have the chore of returning my glasses, a waiting for their response. Or I could order a new pair at full current price but without the original sale price. This all seemed to be quite a bit of extra effort on my part for Zenni's error! Since I often purchase a second mid range pair if the prescription was good (for computer work) I just decided to lump it and order another far pair, which I hoped would be "as ordered". (Luckily there was another promotion going on at the time so the price for the replacement was equivalent, but the rep would not honor the original price.) Needless to say, I really didn't appreciate being put through a whole extra and unnecessary effort/time as a result of Zenni's errors! Not to mention the delay in getting my new glasses! The icing for me was there was no effort from Zenni to mitigate my inconvenience and lost time. "
