"I've ordered from ZZF 4 or 5 times. Each time everything arrived quickly, and in good working order. My most recent purchase, a Zen Micro, however, did not work correctly on arrival. I requested an RMA, and heard nothing for about 5 days. I sent an email to customer support. It's been days since then, and I have still not received any response at all.
I'm sad that this happened, as I've recommended ZZF to friends and family, as a comparison to Newegg. Now that my confidence in their support is gone, not only can I not recommend them, but I have no intention of purchasing from ZZF again.

"This order was for a video card for the computer I am attempting to build. As of today, I have not installed the video card; therefore, I cannot comment on what will happen should the card not work. When I read Zip Zoom Fly's (ZZF) return policy, I found it to be daunting; in fact, I was so intimidated I started not to place the order. In the past I received good reports about ZZF, so I decided to give it a try.
The product provided free (2nd day) shipping and no tax. These factors improved the bottom line cost and influenced my decision. The product arrived on time and in good (physical) condition. The packaging was good and I am optimistic that the video card will be ok when I install it.
I am a senior citizen who uses my computer for managing my home finances. Additionally I enjoy audio/video activity; therefore, the video card is important. I am building a computer because I am fed up with these technicians who work for "extended warranty" companies and don't know much more than I do. When I'm done, I will only be able to blame myself for any screw-ups.
So far, I am completely satisfied with Zip Zoom Fly. I hope this will still be my opinion if I ever have to depend upon them to rectify a problem."

"I've been a long time customer of ZipZoomFly, and also when they were Googlegear. I have been lucky in the past with not having to ever request an RMA, but no such luck when I ordered an Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard on December 18th.
The item arrived defective, which apparently is not an uncommon problem for these motherboards. A quick search on Google for "Asus A8N-SLI Premium won't boot no video" returns many hits.
So I requested an RMA for a full refund, even though they state that their policy is only to exchange or repair defective items. I'm sorry I simply have no use for a motherboard that is riddled with problems. In addition I could not afford to wait weeks on end for a replacement. Furthermore the motherboard is not as advertised; Asus released an update which downgraded the memory capability of the board to 333 MHz, down from 400 MHz.
After almost three weeks passing, several phone calls with no answer and a voicemail system that was full and did not allow me to leave messages, I've had it with ZZF. Their online "support" tools for requesting service provide no confirmation whatsoever that they received your request, i.e. no paper trail. I sent an actual email to every ZipZoomFly email address that I could think of; along with a few I got researching the company on the net. At least I will have some proof that I have requested service so they can't claim I missed the 30 day return window, as others have mentioned.
I’ve worked in technical support and customer service department’s at large companies for over 6 years, and if we ever provided such poor service to our customers we would have gone out of business. It simply amazes me that they operate this way. It really is a shame as they do have competitive pricing and free 2-day shipping on many items.
The same week I received a damaged case from Newegg.com, and not only did I get right through to them, but they told me to hold onto the case and they may just refund my card. I imagine because it would cost too much to ship back on their dime. I guess I got lucky with Newegg.com, but from now on I will be checking the ratings here before I do business with any online merchant. If I had seen ZZF’s abysmal 3.06 Customer Service rating for the month so far, down from 4% last month; and their rating of 3.33 for Overall Product Replacement Service I would have taken my business to Newegg.
If you’ve read this far, congratulations. If you jumped to the bottom of my review I will give you the cliff note version.
If you like to gamble, go right ahead and order with ZipZoomFly, *but* if $10 can buy you piece of mind, order from someone else.
Also take note, any positive reviews that they have received have been with people who have never needed to contact them post purchase for support. Caveat emptor!!!"

"Zipzoomfly is okay, so long as you don't have any problems with your order or need to return something. I ordered a video card from them on 12/3 as a Christmas present, and after Christmas, it turned out that I needed to return it. I went on their website and sent off for an RMA number, which the site said would take no longer than 2 days. I still haven't heard from them. I have tried calling several times a day since then, and have not been able to actually talk to a human being. I keep getting an answering machine, on which I have left about 5 messages now, and have not gotten a single call back. On 1/4, I tried sending off their web form again, with, you guessed it, no contact since then. If I didn't know any better, I would think nobody works there any longer. The 30 day return period has now lapsed because they have been ignoring me, so I just filed a chargeback on my credit card. I'll let them sort it out with American Express. I don't think I'll be ordering from Zipzoomfly again."

"They shipped prompt (but not as prompt as I hoped since I ordered Thu late night and they could have shipped that Friday but instead they shipped the next business day for them, which was the 3rd so I got it the 5th.
In their defense: they did ship pretty promptly and at a price that no one else could beat (plus a rebate that further nehances this deal).
The item was properly wrapped and upgraded for free to 2 day shipping (you might question the value of that with these online companies since they seem to take a long time to process an order).
Al in all a good experience especially for a low cost shop like this one. I have bought from them before (dirt cheap 30gb Creative Nomad) and they delivered as promised, so I think these guys do deserve a positive.
