"I placed an order for parts to build a new XPC on Jan 3rd (order number Z3184575). On Jan 4th I was given a FedEx tracking number. The order should have been delivered today but was not. FedEx stated that the shipping label was printed, but no actual package was given to FedEx for shipping.
I called customer support and waited on hold for several minutes. Finally the phone was answered by Tearra. She was possibly the worst customer support person I have even encountered. She answered the phone yawning (I could hardly understand her initial greeting). Throughout the call she was at best apathetic and at worst counter productive. She told me that the graphics card I ordered was not available and my order was delayed because of this. I took a moment to look up the graphics card (FX1400) on their web site and it was still listed as available. She told me a story about if they have 5 in stock and 9 people order at one time, then the system just isn't fast enough to notice that they have a negative inventory. I called BS because two days later they still show the item as in stock.
I pointed out that the FX1400 is a special order for them which is drop shipped from the Factory and asked if that might be the reason why she showed zero inventory. It was clear she had no idea what I was talking about.
I asked if I could speak to someone who was more knowledgeable. She put me on hold for a bit and then came back to tell me that in fact the FX1400 has been discontinued by PNY and that they would need be able to fill my order for the FX1400. I pointed out that the web site still showed the item as being available and asked again for a supervisor.
She put me on hold briefly several times before I was connected to Brian. Brian at least sounded like he did not hate his job. I told him my story again about how they issued a tracking number but no boxes were shipped. I had to tell him a few times before it really sunk in why I was upset.
He was apologetic and after looking up a few things told me he could make sure that my order would ship out tonight. I asked if they could ship next day service and he told me he did not think he could do that. I pointed out that they had made a large mistake and lied to my about my order shipping (with a tracking number and everything). I also pointed out that if they had contacted me when they found out the item was out of stock, I would not have waisted 2 days waiting on shipping.
He then told me that he could not change the shipping because the order might already be in the system. I pointed out that if that were the case, then shouldn't we have a new tracking number assigned to the order. He said they could have re-used the old tracking number.
I then asked if my order (which should ship tonight) will include the FX1400 card. He told me he did not know and that he would have to research it and call me back. He said he would call in 30 to 45 minutes.
Frankly I do not believe any of their explanation. I'm guessing the box was stolen while it was waiting for FedEx to pick it up. I guess I will see if he calls me back and if the item ships tonight.

He did call back and left me a voice mail that night. He was apologetic and said they searched the floor for my order and found nothing (no box, no invoice). He concluded that FedEx must have picked it up. I was skeptical, but tracking the old FedEx number shows a package did go out that night, so I guess it will turn out okay.
He did mention that the FX1400 was probably shipped directly from PNY and I will likely see that on Monday.
Further updates as events warrant.
*** UPDATE:
I did receive the parts as expected. And the FX1400 was included in the box. Other then taking an extra two days and having the run the customer support gauntlet, I guess things turned out okay.
I still hate the FedEx HOME shipping. They deliver on Saturdays, but not on Mondays which make is pretty useless for shipping to a business."

Now on to the review at hand, Zipzoomfly had the lowest price for the brand new Western Digital 320gig HD16MB cache and SATA II not only were they the cheapest but guess what?! They have Fed Ex!! Not only do they have Fed Ex, but I got 2 day delivery for FREE! I was a bit nervous as reviews were mixed here...but I have to say I am impressed, 2 days to the date and I have never had a pakage come with this much packageing, which is defintley a good thing for a HD order. The box was full of peanuts and the hard drive was in it's electro static bag stored in a thick bed of styrofoam all around. I can recall the several drives I bought from the other companies have had the box arive bare drive in a box of peanuts.

"I ordered on 01/02/06, and they were in the "Processing" part of the process for two businesses days. Then, when it was packed and supposedly "Shipped" on 01/04/06, I looked at the tracking number, and all FedEx has is a tracking number. Then, a day later, they still haven't shipped anything. It was not until the following day that the package was shipped. Overall, it arrived to me two days later than I had first expected. They did not use the 2nd day air either, but instead used FedEx Home to deliver since it would have taken two days anyways to use that cheaper service. What a substitution, but at least it delivers on Saturdays.
The order arrived in a flimsy box, but the inside packaging was quite well done. The products were mostly intact, even though a few of the items have some scruffy packaging (though they still looked new). It has got all the items I've ordered packaged in a logical manner. Would have wished that ZZF mentioned about the included heatsink+fan in the retail packaging of the CPU, but oh well.
I might buy from them again if their prices are really the lowest, but this company is hard to contact and the shipping time is not reliable."
"I placed two orders on 12/26/05 for all in-stock items. My orders were still processing 5 business days later. The option to cancel my order was never available even from the day I placed the order. Two days after I sent them an email I received a reply stating that they just needed the customer to confirm the transaction and that I should call their verification department. They should have contacted me if there was a problem. Does everyone have to call and verify their transaction? I told them I'm not calling so cancel my orders. That Sunday night I placed an order from for the same products at Newegg.com. On Monday my order was processed, packed, shipped and it arrived Tuesday. I'll do business with Newegg from now on."

"I recently bought a eVGA 6600 GT from zipzoomfly. Unfortunately, not only did they send me a DOA card, they did not include my rebate forms. After attempting to contact customer service, they put me on hold for 10-15 minutes, and then I get an automated message that the message box is full, and they hang up on me. After calling 20 more times, I still get no answer. Zipzoomfly has THE worst customer service I have ever experienced. They send you DOA units, so that you have to waste more money on shipping, and if you want to return the defective unit, they charge you another 15% restocking fee, as if it actually costs $20 to repackage the product and stock it on the shelves... Be warned! Even though Zipzoomfly may have low prices, their shipping time is terrible, their products come DOA, and their customer service is horrible. Stick with Newegg.com. "
