"The order process was clear and very efficient. Appropriate progress reports were made as promised. It is nice to see a firm that operates clearly and does exactly what it says it is going to do. The credit card procedure was seamless once logged into the site. I look forward to the
receipt of my merchandise.

Update: When I received my package, the exterior shipping box was damaged. The inside packing material was insufficient to buffer the exterior against shipping abuses. Additionally, the exterior was opened, but the contents were intact. The box in which the gigabyte board came in was neither wrap sealed or even sealed closed at all. The flap opened with no effort. Is this normal? The actual board was sealed in its electrostatic wrapping. It is just a bit unnerving. A bit more care should be taken expecially for sensitive electronic components. The research I did on this board before purchase appears to have been for naught. I have not assembled components; hopefully all is ok. Please let me know if I should be concerned.

"I bought a Power Supply from them and found it to be defective and wanted to return the item for a Full refund. I was in my 30-day window, but because there is no phone number to contact them they take 4 days to process my RMA which I was now over my 30-day window. So now I am stuck with a broken PSU because of there policy's and lack of phone numbers to call. I will NEVER buy here again not worth the extra couple of dollars you save in the begging because in the end it will catch up to you. NEWEGG for now on... You get to talk to a LIVE person there instead of 4 day old email returns.."

"I placed my order, then 2 days later the item showed up cheaper on their site and others (n3wegg) and I called asking if they could match the current price, I was told "too bad", I asked if I could cancel my order and was frankly told NO. They said they couldn't cancel my order even though it didn't ship for 4 more days! and if I wanted to return it there would be a restocking fee! I feel ripped off, this is no way to treat a customer of 5 years. I am staying away and warning others to do so. This store isn't what it used to be, it has become a merchant to AVOID."

"This is the story of a previously excellent store which has now deteriorated into a merchant to avoid. My last transaction with them was contentious and bordered on fraud by this merchant. To wit: I purchased 2 ram boards. Their listing did not mention that there had been a revision change on the product. This was information they knew of and yet failed to disclosed. The boards were incompatible with my current boards. This merchant was aware that many of these boards would not be compatible. They willfully withheld information needed by the buyer to make an informed purchase. They knew there would then be returns and yet they charged their 15% restocking fee while at the same time taking more than 2 weeks to process my return . This is not the behavior of a reputable merchant. Furthermore, they do not pay return shipping. I have closed my account and would advise extreme caution to anyone thinking of using this merchant."

"I ordered a bulk, enterprise edition, 750 HDD from Seagate.

I received a USED HDD, not sealed in the foil as expected.

This is a gross disappointment.


EDIT: I've contacted Seagate, the manufacturer, to get an answer to the same issue. It took me about 10 days to get a series of replies from Seagate and they avoided a clear answer regarding packaging of enterprise edition drives.

Therefore, I'll have to retract my previous comment about Zipzoomfly. Seagate bulk drives do NOT come sealed in antistatic bags (as WesternDigital OEM drives) and they appear to be used. You would need to install specialized softwares that report HDD online time.

The only comment on Zipzoomfly is that they did not post an image or description of an OEM drive for Seagate.

This being said, I would probably buy again from Zipzoomfly.

"Good experience. I ordered a Samsung HD753LJ. Package arrived on time and in good condition. Opened it up and was pleasantly surprised to find the drive was encased in a plastic clamshell and lying snug inside a foam enclosure which was cushioned with bubble wrap to keep it from sliding around inside the box. And look there, screws! Hooked up and tested the drive. Everything worked as advertized. I will definitely look to ZipZoomFly for future purchases.
Other thoughts: 1) Buying online shouldn’t be a crap shoot. 2) Having choices is good. If everyone buys from just one guy, where’s the incentive to keep margins low? This was my first time ordering PC parts from an e-tailer other than the eggmen, and yes, despite the many good reviews Zippy has, I was a little apprehensive. But the prospect of saving a few $$ convinced me to give them a try, and I’m glad I did

"Great selection and good prices.

Shipping is slow. It takes 2-3 days before the order hits the tracking system.

OEM drives come very well packed. Overall their delivery system is good but not great.

However, don't ever have a problem with them. They have no 800 number, and their toll number directs you to a voicemail account 99% of the time when you call.

RMA policy is worse than the best resellers (Amazon, Newegg). Takes days to get any kind of approval and response from customer service.

"This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a videocard (8800GT). I never recieved the package. Zippzoomfly says that fedex says I recieved it that I have to file a complaint with them, I do, I am denied because I am not the shipper, I call Zip and they file a claim, It gets denied. 6wks later I am still waiting on the second claim which fedex states that it should take a 2 weeks. It is not my fault that I would gladly pay to require a signature or have the option of using UPS instead of Fedex. I only use newegg now because they offer UPS Shipping and I always get my package. I heard such good things about this comany but they were wrong.
If you have a problem with this company you were warned. If you call them and ask to speak to a manager they are always busy. No matter which department you call it is always answered by the same people.

"Beware of their claimed rebates. My rebate for an item in my last order was declined by their fulfillment house for false claims. They falsely claimed that the required documents were not included even though their site showed that I included them. They even claimed Zip Zoom was not a qualified reseller even though their name is printed on their claim form. Now the rebate claim period has expired. Also note that Zip Zoom doesn't adequately pack their HDDs for shipment. Otherwise they do ship what you order.
Unlikely to buy there any more, certainly not expecting any promised rebates.

"I bought a ANTEC Fusion Black Home Theater PC Enclosure Retail. It was DOA the unit would not power on. I used my antec power supply tester flipped the switch and it started to smoke. RMA it back and they said the wires are melted and will not exchange it. Well that's why I'm returning it was defective from the begging. This is not a cheap case but from the looks of it they should be charging cheaper prices if there going to sell crap! I would not buy any cases or power supply's from this company. They maybe cheaper then newegg but newegg sells good merchandise! If you buy something from newegg and it's DOA they will replace it even if you had it for 3 months now thats service! "
