"This was my first experience ordering from this company. First I had alot of trouble getting my order to be accepted online. Once the order was accepted it questioned the authenticity of the trans action so they put the order on hold to verify it which was fine. They sent me an email for me to call to verify the order. This was on a friday when i called they were in a meeting (everyone who could verify my transaction.) i was asked if i wanted to leave a message I said yes. So now the whole weekend goes by because they arent open on the weekends. Still no call from them. I call again to verify my transaction with them. After 20 mins in Que a customer service rep answers and tells me there "to busy" do I want to leave a message, I say never mind I'll cancel my order. The only way you can do this is online! But when I Log in to cancel my order it says I cant because the order has been "packed". So I try to email them. absolutely no response. The next response i get from them is that the order has been sent. The reason they wouldn't ship the order to begin with was they wanted to verify that it was me that made the order which they never did! Never mind validating its the proper person placing the order hurry up and ship it before we loose the transaction. I would save yourself a headache and spend a few dollars more with a more reputable company like Newegg."

"Ok I've made a mistake. I was in the the market for a new laptop and found a great one for cheap at ZZF so I made my purchase online but I got indecisive about it so cancelled my order."No biggy" I thought, I figured that the transaction wouldn't show up on my account because it hasn't shipped yet, right?. I thought hard about the deal at such a great price and figured it was a good buy and I foolishly decided to reorder my purchase, BUT I promptly canceled it again because I found a WAY better deal at a local store. So I have two orders and two cancels and TWO CHARGES TO MY ACCOUNT. My real gripe is even BEFORE shipping out the products ,and even before I responded to their purchase confirmation e-mails, they sapped from my account twice! Once per purchase.
If you guys at ZZF are reading this just as a tip NEVER TAKE MONEY BEFORE PROCESSING/SHIPPING, AND RECEIVING CONFIRMATION FROM ORDERS. If taking money first and talk later your business policy I suggest you change it before you get out of business. "I recently found that a Cooler Master RC-690 case was going for about $15 cheaper on zipzoomfly.com than on newegg. It was a couple days later when I was checking the status of my order that I realized I had ordered an openbox product rather than a new product. Now it's in a "packed" status and I can't cancel the order even though it probably hasn't left their building. I suppose this is totally ignorance on my part, but paying $80 for something that might be scratched, dented, or missing a few fans is something I definitely did not have in mind. I emailed them today and am hoping for cancellation on the order, I would be more than happy to order a new case rather than a used one if that option was available.
EDIT: The order was cancelled, so I'd have to say that their customer service is solid at least from my standpoint. I've bought from these guys before and would do it again."
"I ordered a CoolerMaster RM 690 case from ZZF and it arrived with a cracked front cover. I contacted ZZF customer service and they sent me a RMA almost immediately. I fully expected to pay for the shipping back to them since that's what they tell you on the web-site. However, they gave me a coupon for free shipping with FedEx, all I had to do was bring it in to a FedEx shipping location. I got my replacement case a week after I sent back the original. It was a bit of an inconvenience but ZZF made replacing the case nearly painless. BTW, I saved $30 on this case buying it from ZZF rather than Newegg.

"Don't buy from zipzoomfly, I got jiffed by them. Here is my situation and their tactic to save their cost!!!!! I received a defective harddrive spending 85+7shipping. I spend 7 dollars to ship it back. After they tested for failure, they claimed they don't carry the item anymore. I exclaimed that the site still allows you to order the item. Then they change story about saying it's not in stock and insist that I get a refund. Told me that it take them months to do RMA w/ seagate! WTH! I filed for an exchange. I bought a new product and I am expect to get a new product not an rma-ed harddrive! I bought 2 so I can use it as a raid 0. I dont' want a refund because I have to end up buying the same model and still have to paid for shipping! After a long talk with them, they allow me to do an exchange for a new one. They said new stock comes in on Friday and they will ship it out. Called them next monday, they said the drive will be ship out that afternoon. Called again on Tuesday, they said drive is out of stock. ..... Still not shipped. Asked to talk to a manager, wait 10 min... no reply. Btw, their phone number is long distance for those you doesn't have a cell phone! Take my warning and stay away from these guys. Essentially I order on 4/16/2008 and over 2 weeks later still haven't got the hard drive yet!
Updated: After 3 or 4 times trying to get the hold of the manager, he understood the situtation and promise the item will be deliver the next day. The manager is very helpful. He shipped a 2 days delivery. I think ZZF need better employee training."

"Drive was shipped in a 3/4" foam box, which was shipped in a much larger box without proper padding. Box was poorly sealed. Unsurprisingly, the drive arrived DOA.
A customer service rep contacted me after seeing the bad review and arranged to waive the restocking charge. I still paid for shipping the drive back.
I've bought equipment from ZipZoomFly in the past and been satisfied. However, unless they change their method of packaging disk drives, I am forced to say that buying a disk drive from them is, in my own individual opinion, risky at best and an expensive return at worst."

"They have some odd business practices. I order a Q6600 last night, it has not shipped nor has my card been charged but they won't adjust the price or cancel the order to allow a rebuy. It's only a few dollars, but it's aggravating. Once you buy, don't look at the price again, it might bite you. With that said, they were friendly and typically ship fine. Buyer be ware. No need for ZZF to reply, it's your policy, it not Neweggs. Maybe that why you did not break a 6 for your 6 month average.
