"Very dissatisfied: Ordered first item, wrong description, wrong item, so I returned.
New item, ordered, stated it was in stock, oredred with over night shipment, next day it said it was packed, called to check, they said it shipped I would get tracking number. Nothing. Today 2 1/2 days later, I caled again and was told this item is backordered, and will be available again in 2 weeks.

"First off I ordered an HITACHI Travelstar 100GB 7200rpm hard drive for my notebook computer upgrading from an 80GB 5400rpm hard drive, wow what a difference. Second ZipZoomFly had the best price I could find anywhere, better than newegg, and multiple other websites (by at least $20 and more on others). I ordered the hard drive on Thursday 3/27/08 and got it on Monday 3/31/08 using the 2 day shipping method. Packaging was great, and so far its working fine. First time customer and it won't be the last if I ever want or need something again."

"Zipzoomfly(away with your money and leave you hanging. I being a PC system builder ordered parts from them for my fist time. The part comes with a mail in rebate that expired on the 31 of march. I ordered the item on the 16 of march. The site said it was in stock and they charged my card immediately. Upon checking the progress of my order and from the email I recieved from them it said that it was packed on the 16 of march, much to my surprise the package never shipped and I had payed for 2 day Fedex delivery. I emailed them four times with no response. I then called customer disservice. I was told that the item was not in stock I asked then why did I get an email from them stating it had been packed. They had no answer. I asked to speak to a supervisor and recieved even worse service from him. I was told that I would recieve it as soon as they recieved it from their supplier hmm. When I asked about a refund I was told that would also take 10 days the exact time the item was supposed to be back in stock,(funny huh). Customer disservice did absolutely nothing for me. Now it is April 1 and guess what here at 1103 pm cst I recieved an email from them stating the item had been shipped. thats 5 days shy of when they said they would get it in stock. And exactly the day after the rebate ends. Zipzoomfly will cheat you and I know this has been a two week long ordeal and I have yet to actually recieve the item. This company and I are not through. I should have stuck with good old newegg. What I did to save 10 bucks.(before rebate). I belong to several networking and business groups and guess who no one I know will do business with ever again. Zipzoomfly you just plain stink."

"I placed an order on March 13 and got an email on March 15 with order on hold further verification require. After verify my personal information with customer service got an "order has been shipped" email with Fedex tracking number on March 17. After a week(March 26) of expecting my package the status of my tracking number still showing "Package data transmitted to FedEx". After I called Zipzoomfly customer service to found out item was on backorder. But, item was available for order online. My worst online shopping experience ever with poor customer support. "

"Well, after seeing that someone else has had the exact same experience, I figured I would post here as well in order to warn people about ZipZoomFly. I placed an order on 3/13 (Thu), and got an email w/ a tracking number on 3/15. Hey, great, I said thinking that it would be picked up by FedEx and arrive in 5-7 days. As of 3/24, the tracking number is still in the "Package data transmitted to FedEx" stage, which means that they apparently generated the label and never actually shipped anything. They have already charged my credit card w/ the full amount! So currently, either the company is trying to scam me out of money, or they _still_ have not actually sent the item - one or the other. I'd rather they just tell me that the item is backordered, delayed, or even cancel my order and credit my credit card instead of the total unknown!!!! I've never experienced a situation like this before in all my online orders!!! Here's hoping this feedback (which I originally had hoped to give them good feedback seeing the rather negative tone the feedback has taken on lately) will turn the situation into a more positive one. If they rectify the situation, I'll let you know here. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that its been impossible to get in touch w/ anyone from Customer Service today (3/24) even though I have left both a voice mail msg (only one msg - though I've tried to call several times) and email with them..

UPDATE: I got in touch w/ a very nice lady on the phone today who told me that my item is backordered. Supposedly they will have the item in stock this week. Here's hoping that they do.

UPDATE 3/31/2008: Well my shipment was at my door today. At least I got it finally...

"if i knew it would take them 2 weeks just to SHIP my item i would have been more than happy to pay $100 more elsewhere.

after my order was placed shipping information was sent to fed ex. 10 days later that status has not changed one bit... seems like they created my shipping/postage label... but have not actually given anything to fed ex.

called their customer service number ***-***-****) and it would seem all i can get are voice mails... god knows how long it will take for a response here ladies and gentlemen...

as i stand now, i am not sure if my product will EVER arrive at all!

i recommend everyone to STAY AWAY from zipzoomfly!

"Ordered motherboard and processor on 03/18/08, both items were in stock, paid for overnight shipping. One of the items, an Athlon 64 X2 6400+ black edition was unexpectedly backordered (according to a CS rep. They also did not know when the next shipment would be received.) so my package did not ship. The very next night, the item was back in stock, the package did not ship. (One would think the CS rep would know that they were getting a shipment in a day) Called customer service again on 03/21/08, taking six tries to get an actual representative. They told me the item would ship on 03/21/08. The item (according to the reference number) still has not been shipped, the shipping data was forwarded to Fedex on 03/18/08. I used to use zipzoomfly for all my orders, now I will find a new vendor. Incredibly disappointed with the lack of good customer service, the representatives did not seem to know anything about the order or the shipping process involved. I needed the parts by the end of this week, which should have been easily doable, considering the order was processed and packed (according to the order information) on the same day I ordered it 03/18/08. As it stands now, if this order is shipped on Monday 03/24/08, it will have taken a full week, to get an order of items that were in stock when the order was placed, that was processed and packaged on the same day of the order, and that I paid overnight shipping charges on.

I wish this experience was more positive, I guess I will try my hand at newegg from now on.

"This was my first time ordering from ZipZoomFly, mostly because they beat Newegg's price on a power supply. I ordered Tuesday evening, received it Thursday morning, was nice and speedy. The power supply was placed in a larger box with lots of popcorn padding and was flawless. Would not hesitate to order from this company again... provided they beat newegg's price :)"

"Unfortunately, it seems that this company has started slipping. I used to be a pretty serious customer back when they were still googlegear.com. They recently stopped offering free 2nd day shipping, something that really gave them an edge on other resellers in the same market. When I placed my most recent order I needed my product fast, so I chose 2nd day shipping. I was then contacted that my order was placed on hold for confirmation which delayed my order until after the weekend. Only then was I informed that my order was a special order that needs an additional 2 weeks. I called to request that something be done about me paying for 2nd day shipping since there were so many avoidable delays in processing. Their deny to my request is what has caused me to write this negative review. Hopefully this along with other customer feedback will encourage zipzoomfly to revert back to their old ways of doing things and I can start shopping there again."

"I canceled my order with ZipZoom fly because they were falsely advertising the Asus M50Sv-B1 notebook as being in-stock before it was even released by Asus. I also ended up finding it cheaper elsewhere. Since then, I have changed my mind and decided to go with the Asus G1Sn-B1. While researching prices online for this PRE-ORDER notebook, I noticed that ZipZoomFly was at it once again. They were claiming they had the Asus G1Sn-B1 in-stock. Once again, this had not been released for sale by Asus. ZipZoomFly likes selling products that they don't actually have in-stock. Be prepared to wait a long time for your order to arrive if you buy from ZipZoomFly.com"

"I ordred a quantity of 2 OCZ OCZ3P18002GK 2GB PC3-14400 which totaled out to be $658 worth of DDR3 memory. I expected much better packaging. The memory was so loose in the package that you could literally shake the box and hear the the memory roll around inside the box. The memory wasn't even bubbled wrapped. I'm a die-hard newegg customer but I thought I'd save myself 20 dollars plus free shipping through zipzoomfly but now I've learned my lesson. Spend the extra dollars and shipping through newegg and be happy."

"Extremely disorganized company. Tried to order bulk of a new build. Took two days to verify credit card. Took an extra day to confirm order. After three days, received notification that order was incomplete. Called for info-ZZf said that it might not have been incomplete, it might have actually shipped. I told them "might have" and "maybe complete" don't work for me. Told them to cancel order and recall whatever shipped. They said they would, but they didn't. Had to call FedEx myself. Ended up with $26 (half of shipping) for my trouble. I asked if $26 was worth me and everyone I could convince to never order from them. ZipZoomfly said that was their decision.

Horrible, horrible experience. Lazy management. Not worth the cheap prices.

FYI: Both Newegg and ClubIT managed to deliver orders placed at the same time as the one at ZZf before ZZf could even confirm their own inventory.

"I had ordered 4gb of ram for my pc and never got an email from ZZF with the confirmation number ( but did get an email from Paypal that it was charged).

I called ZZF's customer support and had them cancel the order and I did not get an email to confirm that the order was cancel.

I had to call them back and asked for the order number and send me an email that stated the item was cancel.

Called Paypal and explain that there should be a charge back to my CC and they said they never got the funds from ZZF.

This is one of the worst experience and I'm a new customer of their's.

Never shop here again.

"Ordered desktop computer components at various times and shipping was fast, i had no problems. The main reason i choose them is because they accept payments via wire transfer.

The problems I had with them was when I ordered laptops. Apparently they do not keep them in stock. WHich is why they say give them an additional 1-2 days for processing. I waited for a long as a week before they could ship out the laptops ordered. They got to do better than this.
On the brighter side their customer service is excellent. (very polite, helpful and patient operators)
