"Bought a Notebook hard drive at a great price. The item was out of stock at most renowed sites. Choose 5-7 days shipping, The hard drive arrived on time and very securely packed. Their site is easy to use and a lot of built in security features. Pretty satisifed with the service and product.

"This store is amazing to get stuff. A lot of their products are actually cheaper than other places. My 4 gig corsair survivor was 37.90 with free shipping and newegg sells them for 49.99 with $4.99 shipping, but they are out of stock... tiger direct is the same. I ordered it thursday evening and it was shipped the next day!"

"Unfortunately my experience with zipzoomfly was not good. The problem started with the fact that zipzoomfly has not joined the 21st century - with all its marvels of global economy and good customer service.
I ordered a Samsung 942 LCD monitor as a Christmas gift. I travel for business and ordered online while in Japan using my US credit card - the delivery address was also the same as my credit card address so it should not have been a big issue. I received a confirmation email that the order was being processed. When I arrived back in the states after a week the monitor had not arrived so I went online to and found it cancelled. No email advising me why or no notification as to the cancellation; it was simply cancelled.
I called their customer service to find out why my order was cancelled without notifying me and was told that because I used the credit card outside the country (I can only assume they determined that by checking the IP address at order time) that constituted the order was a fraud. Apparently using a US credit card with the same shipping address in the US as the credit card billing address raises issues at zipzoomfly when done from outside the country. I could understand if the order was being sent to a location other than the billing address or if zip asked for more proof to prevent fraud but to just cancel it without checking or notifying is just simply lazy and ignorant. I order a lot of items online because I travel a lot and this is the only company that still operates in the 1950's... and without bothering to let the customer know the order is cancelled and why. I explained to the customer service rep that this policy is unacceptable and was told this fell under their terms of service. He couldn’t quote that anyway and I could tell he was not going to be of any help, didn’t care, and was just talking from a script. Naturally there is nothing that makes a customer happier than when a teenage employee tells you something like that. Instead of just apologizing and moving on to resolve the issue I get the ToS thrown at me. Because it was a Christmas present I asked zipzoomfly to send a new order via 2 day FedEx with zip paying the difference between the 5 day and 2 day service. After a lengthy wait on the phone while he asked his manager he advised I was to reorder the item and select 5 day ground delivery and when they shipped it, it would be changed to 2 day ground service. I did as I was told (tried to call zip to confirm that after I ordered and never could get anyone to answer the phone) and when I saw the order it showed as 5 day ground. So I was hoodwinked and they never did ship it via 2 day ground and it was sent 5 day ground.
This has been the worst example of online customer service I have ever seen. This company is so incompetent on so many levels it would be far better for you to spend your hard earned dollars else where. This sad-sack operation does not deserve your money and until they change their customer service as well as join the 21st century global economy I would recommend you find another on-line store that can easily accommodate the modern day shopper. Poor service all around. I recommend that zipzoomfly review its policy on credit card orders. If it needs further evidence than ask the customer for it. Secondly, if you cancel an order then notify the customer by email. Your current policies are archaic.

"An item was backordered w/o contacting me first (it still shows as "in stock" on their website.) Their online tracking shows my order as shipped, but the box I received has "backorder" handwritten beside one of the items. I can not get in touch w/ customer support to clarify whats going on. "They put the order on hold for no reason, and sent a verification email. I returned the email AND left 3 voice mails to their "verification department" (who never answer the phone or return calls). After two weeks they canceled the order. When I finally got hold of a person, they welcomed me to put in another order for $40 more for the same item, but could not ship my original order at the price they promised/lied. I informed them I could produce phone records and server logs to back up my claim that I contacted them 4 times for verification, but they refused and blamed the fact that it was canceled (overlooking the fact that it was THEIR fault). Stay away from ZipZoomFly, it's a fly-by-night bait-and-switch company. SCAM ARTISTS!!"
