"**** PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASING FROM BestPricePHOTO! ****

Probably the most stressful buying experience I've ever had. I've been lied to for nearly a month about a $1000+ Nikon D7000 that was "shipped" then "defective" then "arriving today" only to call and hear it's supposedly on back order but who knows if that's a lie too. Cancelled the order and will never purchase anything from them again. Very disappointed.

Update: Responding to the company's comments below, I was notified of the back order today, over three weeks from initial purchase. If I had been made aware earlier of the delay, I would have cancelled my order then. Instead I trusted your customer service employees when they told me instead that they had received a defective product and then that it was shipped and was to be arriving today. Only when the package failed to arrive, did the company finally say it was on back order. Next day air delivery is no help when there's no product to ship. I have people depending on me to take pictures. I was up front with them and I would think a reliable buisness would be up front with their customers.

Really? After three separate interactions from your business and a phone call from my house, you're now trying to say the transaction # is bogus? I have the original receipt (which I have sent to the owner of this review website by the way) which verifies that the transaction number is correct.

I'm assuming this is simply another ploy to get rid of any negative reviews. Wanna know a secret? If you want positive reviews, give good customer service. After dealing with the hassle with your company, I ordered my camera (at the same price) from a company in New Jersey. Even with a hurricane, they managed to get my order delivered on time, even calling me on their personal cell phones to update me when their power was out. All it takes is a little effort. If you spent as much time tending to your customers instead of lying to them and doing everything you can to rid this site of negative reviews, you'd be getting somewhere. I hope potential customers read this and shop elsewhere.

"I was amazed by how fast they processed my RMA. I bought a Canon 60D on 05/26/2012 and I have issue powering it up yesterday. So I sent them a support email and today's morning, I received their response right away. They wanted me to explain what happened and I did. They sent back RMA form with my purchase information attached. What I needed to do is to send it to Canon according to the instruction. There's no form for me to fill out, just package it up and send. It's that simple.

I do a lot of online purchases and I do really care RMA process. Some of the vendors just want to sell and slowly deal with RMA but BestPricePhoto is not one of them. I am extremely happy with their service.

"i looked and searched thoroughly before i bought my nikon dslr and lens from this site. The price they offered here was the lowest that I could find. I received my order with free shipping 10 days after I submitted my order online. It might be faster if you call and place your order because my order wasn't processed until they called me to confirm my address and order a few days after I submitted my order. When confirming your order someone will try to sell you extras in a sort of "package deal". This can be a bit offputting especially if you just want what you ordered and want to get on with your day. They did forget to ship a remote that i ordered but were very apologetic about it and offered to ship it the next day. The camera and lens are in perfect working order and I am excited with my purchase. "

"I ordered a Canon 7D last Friday, but over the weekend I learned that the Costco near me had the camera in stock. The price was considerably more but I had grown impatient and wanted the camera now. I called the customer service number and explained my situation to the operator. They completely understood and told me that they are "...ALL ABOUT THE CUSTOMER'S NEEDS AND WHAT IS BEST FOR THE CUSTOMER..." They immediately canceled my order and sent a conformation email of the cancelation. I was quite impressed with the wonderful attitude and the extremely helpful person on the phone. "I ordered a week ago on Sunday still nothing has shipped. BPP states processing takes 24 to 72 hours. I was ok with that, even with that time frame I would receive my order before my wife's birthday for which this was going to be a present. I attempted to call after 72 hours past and my order had not been processed. I called when their website said they were opened and the voice message system said they were closed. It then proceeded to tell me their business hours and according to that message they should have been open! Friday rolls around and I get an email from Mikey saying to call and confirm my order. FRIDAY!!! I would think that this would have been done on Monday, or within the 72 hours of processing time BBP requires. As soon as I received the email I called the number, which is the same as the number on the site, and dial his extension. I was directed to voicemail. I left a Voicemail, never got a call back. I called later in the day, again sent to voicemail. The site says they are open on Sunday in once place then in another says they are closed. The voice message on the phone system says they are closed today(Sunday) then says they are open from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday. I would say do not order from them to save yourself the headache of trying to figure out what is going on. Even if they call me tomorrow or some day later to try to fix it I should NOT have to work this hard to give them my money and get a product in return.
Update:
Any new first time buyers will have to confirm that it is a valid order over the phone. This was not something that I was aware of and I did not use a valid phone number so my order was considered fraud and placed on hold. Had I known that this I would have used my real number. I do not like posting my cell or work numbers because of security concerns, had my number sold before from vendors who "do not sell client information." This is the first online company that has actually tried to validate me through phone. I spoke to Roger who assured me the hours of operation would be corrected on the voice system and the website, as I still found that to be very frustrating. Now that I know the hours and they know who I am, most of the frustration is gone. They still do have the cheapest prices around and probably have won me back. If I had only known about the phone verification I probably would have said this is the greatest photo equipment store around because I am sure my ordering experience would have been flawless. Roger was a big help and I do feel like a moron for not using my real number. I have since given them my real number.

"They have a long long way to go if they want to be able to sell for a while in the online space.
I ordered my camera on Sep 6. I got an inquiry from Mike on the 7th saying that he needed me to contact him due to security issue. That email somehow ended in the Spam folder and didn't see it until a few days ago. No problem, their system sent me an email on the 12th to verify the transaction with my CC.
So far so good...
Fast forward to Monday, Sep 24, and I still have no idea what's happening with my order so I called in. The person answering said that he had shipped my order the previous Thursday, and that it would arrive the following Thursday, and that if the tracking didn't show until the next day I should call and he would send it next day air.
I magically received the Order Shipped confirmation clearly stating the order was processed for shipping on the 24th while I was on the phone and it arrived the next Monday,(not Thursday) after I had already left for my trip for which I wanted to have this camera for.
I contacted them several times last week asking to return the camera and they haven't responded at all.

*EDIT*
Reggie, in their customer service department contacted me and was extremely helpful in addressing this situation. I'm a satisfied customer and will do business again with BPP in the future.

"Horrible service. Order place on July 24, 2012, received an email saying that order was shipped out on August 02. I did pay extra for 3 days air but got the package via Fedex Ground. I didn't bother to open the box I call 5 times and finally get to talk to somebody that could help me with my return. The guy told me just mail it back and hung up on me before I can say something. Mailed the package out the day after which is Sept 4. The package reached their warehouse on the Sept 10. Guest what today is October 10, I just got off the phone with one their rep. got hung up on as usually which is nothing unexpected. One guy told me the refund was issued on Oct 05, should be back to my bank account within a couple of day. I will never ever come back to this store again. Had it not because of my client I wouldn't have ended up with you guys. Lousy services period! Tell you what save yourself some time and hassle bring your business elsewhere these people just going to screw you like they did to me, don't be fooled by the low price...like I did!

Explain to me one thing, if you said you care so much about your customer, then explain to me this why the hell does it take your customer service one month to issue a refund? There was no shipping credit was issue back to my back account. If you people care so much then do the right thing at first place!
