"I placed an order with Best Price Photo based on (1) their availability of the items I wanted, (2) their pricing and (3) reviews I read at cnet.

I did not know that the order would become an ordeal, with my credit card company assured that the order must be fraudulent and causing so much chaos.

Through it all Best Price Photo, through Michael, one of their sales associates, kept the order on track and were in communication with me and the credit card company to see the order through to completion and shipping.

Michael called me the day after the order was placed (on a holiday weekend) to review the order with me and to answer any questions I had.

When the credit card company initially declined the charge and flagged my account, Michael CALLED me before the credit card company EMAILED me to say that there might be some fraudulent activity to my account.

After spending a long time on the telephone with the credit card company, I called Michael back to let him know that the charge would go through.

Michael called me again to let me know that the charge was accepted and the order was processed.

It is hard to believe that a company was willing to put in the effort to see what was not a large sale through to completion; harder to believe that the order was basically assigned to a person with bulldog-like determination who took the order to completion.

I sent an email stating the above to Best Price Photo and further stating that I will be a repeat customer. I also stated that I would tell my friends and family of the exceptional customer service I received and would recommend Best Price Photo without hesitation. Best Price Photo asked me to post the comments I sent them here, which I am VERY HAPPY to do.

"It's been 9 days since I made a *huge* purchase on this site, have called twice, once on Friday which I was reassured I would receive a shipping email later that day (didn't receive one) and today (Monday), reassured of the same thing, it's past 6 and it still haven't been notified of a shipment... Website states 24-48 hours processing time, before shipping. So, what's going on?

Will revise this review immediately once everything is right at my door.

Edit 09/25/12: This order was placed 08/31/12. I received *PART* of my order 09/12, but BPP left out the Canon Speedlite 580EX II + diffuser (Around $505.00 of my order.) I was told they ship out from a different warehouse and I would be receiving them that Friday along with a bonus SD card for the trouble. Come Friday, nothing. Called the following week, was told that they don't have it available, and they would process a refund for the speedlite. It's been nearly a week later and I still don't have a refund. They are closed until Thursday, so I won't be able to find out what's going on with my refund until then.

Update 09/28/12: Customer service hung up before I could finish talking... Who does that? Anyway whoever I spoke to over the phone misunderstood what I said. I was supposed to receive a refund last friday, meaning I called days before last friday. If a refund takes 3-5 days to post, I should have had it by Tuesday 09/25 at least! It is now Friday, and was told it would be posted into my account today. This company is making me feel like I need to file a claim with my bank account. I have been dealing with BPP for almost month!!! I have wasted a *considerable* amount of time going back and forth with this company. Too much of a run around!

Edit 08/29/12: I decided to proceed to file a claim with my bank. I really just don't have the kind of time I've been spending back and forth with this company. Oh, I also realized they left out the warranty for my camera. Regardless, I'm still in the 30 days for a "money back guarantee" which is posted all over their site, yet I *never* received any of the items I want a refund for anyway!!

"This is the second time I have purchased camera products from BestPricePhoto. The first time I purchased a Cannom T3I plus filters and this order was for a Cannon 28-135 lens, sd memory card and 72mm filters. Both times the persom helping me was Michael. He is GREAT! Very knowledgable and very very helpful. I have visited many on-line camera sites and by far BestPrice has the best prices. And then you have Michael a great person to deal with. "This is a bait and switch scam company. They advertise a low price, then call you up and tell you that the US version of the camera which is covered by the warren tee is more money and also insist on selling you a package worth a fraction of the cost. They then charged your credit card, even though you have cancelled the order for the greater amount, tell you the refund will take longer if you call your credit card. Process the refund ten days later for a lesser amount to a card that is not your card. Do not buy anything from this company.

Update: Your response is ludicrous , a representive from Bestprice called me the day after I placed an online camera saying and made an aggressive sales pitch for a package of unneeded overpriced items and then indicated that the camera at the advertised price was an import not covered by Canon's warrantee. I cancelled as item was not as advertised.

"Best Price so far. I ordered this Canon PowerShot SX40 HS Digital Camera for $325.00. I actually went round the internet looking for a price that beat theirs but I didn't see any. amazon.com, J&R.com, BHphoto.com etc.. even where those other websites claim they were on sales! Also it was free shipping. Navigating through their website was smooth and their prices for most of the products I went through were the lowest in most instances! The only thing lacking on their order section is "where is my order" I was unable to see the progress of my order untill after it was shipped. That can surely give a lot of people some anxiety. That single issue won't lower my rating of them in any way though. I got my camera and it was in good shape. It is NEW! I'll surely buy from them again."

"No fuss, no muss, A+. One always has questions when going to a new site that just happens to have the lowest price on the product, but the web layout was clean, ordering was easy, no surprises and product arrived in 6 days despite no special delivery request. (Also knew they were closed on Sat-Sun). I'm happy and will probably go back for other items like memory cards and camera stands. Happily playing with the camera now."

"Hello, I have talked to Jeff, and mostly Anthony in Customer Service and they sounded competant, and friendly, asside from having product knowledge. I will continue to buy from Best Price Photo, as I already have before. I am going to tell my photographer friends about your service and sales. I like the fact that all the cameras are from the manufacturer and not from the Grey Market. I have dealt with the Grey Market and the manufacturer will not work on your camera under warranty. You can not go wrong buying at Best Price Photo. "

"I ordered a NIKON D90 from BPP website on Jul-6th-2012.
I was provided the Order# and status as processing. After 4 days when I checked the order, it still said Processing after which ringed them up. They said we wanted to verify the card details.

The card details were fine, and while talking they gave an offer saying we'll give you a NIKON battery for reduced amount, and I agreed without an thought. I finally received the order after 15 days, and to my horror I find that they delivered VIVITAR (non-Nikon) battery worth $59.

Had to call them again for the same and they said, we'll send you a free 32GB memory card as compensation, when I received it, it was some local company memory card. I din't want this product, and when I call them up again, the said the restocking fee is 15% and the shipping charge is on you (meaning $25 for not owning anything).

Also, I could not find the manual for the NIKON camera, which they said the would deliver separately, which they never did. And later I lost interest in following up with them, as they have HORRIBLE customer service. Everytime you call them they'll put you on hold for atleast 5 mins.

All in all, if you get some discounted product on BestPricePhoto.com, DO NOT BUY it, else face the consequences of talking to their torturous Customer Service, and non-branded products. I dd no have negative rating option, else I would have chosen that.


UPDATE :
I got a call from BPP stating they are trying to rectify the issue by providing extra battery and manual. But they wanted me to update the rating to "5 STAR" before I received the order. When I said NO, the representative became rude and hung up on me, telling your review would be moved to 7th Page.
The logs from BPP would be good enough to suggest how many times you need to follow-up with BPP for your order, and still not get all your desired items.

BPP:
what you stated below is utterly incorrect, pull up the invoice and check the price I paid for the battery, it was $59 not $39.
And moreover I never received the online manual.

"I had no problems with BestPricePhoto.com. The only thing I was worried about was them getting the order out. It took a couple days and a couple of emails to get them to call me to finish up the necessary items for them to ship my camera. Otherwise, you can't beat the price!"

I brought a Nikon D7000 18-55 & 55- 200 with a professional kit and the cost is equivalent to Amazon and/ or B &H but additional i have the accessories which would cost about 200 USD.
