"Before Leaving for video production school, I set out to purchase a new camera with my high school graduation money. I searched far and wide for the best price for the Canon Rebel T3i. After months of researching, Best Price Photo had the literally the best price. I was a little skeptical of the super low prices and poor website interface. I read a ton of good reviews on this company so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Canon Rebel T3i and a Bower 8mm Fisheye lens. The estimated shipping time was 7-9 days. After placing my order, I did not receive a conformation email or tracking number. 7 days went by and no sign of any sort of email or anything. I decided to give customer service a call. When I called they told me that they had not shipped it yet, 7 days from the day I ordered it, and that they will get right on it. I did however receive a tracking number after requesting one. 7 more days pass by and my package finally arrives. I was very excited to open it, and when I did, it was just the camera, not the 300-dollar lens I ordered with it. I called the company right when I realized this and they said they will have it express shipped within 2 business days. After I got off the phone with Best Price Photo, I opened my camera and turned the camera on only to look at a yellow-ish hue created by a broken sensor in the camera. Yes, they sent me a broken camera. I called the next day about this issue and the customer service told me to simply read the manual. With this not helping one bit, I called Canon and they said they will replace it if I send it in. Back to the lens issue, 5 days pass from when I was told I would receive the lens in two days. I call customer service a third time and ask what the problem was. They told me that they weren’t sure and that they would call me back before the day was over. I was never called back. I called the next day and politely asked what the deal was. They told me they will ship it that day and gave me a tracking number. I finally get it 3 days later. LONG STORY SHORT, they forgot to ship my order, took 2 weeks to get a broken camera minus the lens I ordered, did not help with broken camera issue, poor customer service and forgot to ship the lens again. Took three and a half weeks total plus 5 calls to customer service. I would love some sort of massive refund. Great prices, but terrible service.
UPDATE: A sales rep form BPP, Reggie, contacted me prior to reading my review. He proceeded to tell me that BPP really strives for customer satisfaction. Best Price Photo sent me a complimentary 5 hour battery and UV filter for my camera, express shipped. If that's not customer satisfaction, I don't know what is. "

"I was paranoid about buying from these guys, seeing mixed reactions from people posting here. I was purchasing a high end camera for my son who is studying photography in college, so I was concerned about blowing our budget on a ripoff/scam. But I did see a lot of positive reviews, so I took and chance and I'm glad I did. We picked up a Canon 7D and a couple of lenses and a memory card for a CONSIDERABLE savings. I could not find anyone that came close to these guys in pricing. To top it of I screwed up and accidentally ordered a bundle that was for the wrong camera---and when I called--I got a human being who helped me fix the order. In addition, I ordered on a Monday afternoon and needed the camera by Friday--so I paid for expedited shipping and was assured we'd get it by Friday. It arrived WEDNESDAY. And everything we got was as advertised. Real camera, lenses--boxes, warranty, and all. So my experience was great. Saved (literally) hundreds of dollars (spent $1650, for what would have cost $2k elsewhere)."

"I was a bit worried at first after reading all of their reviews but I still decided to place the order at BestPricePhoto.com since they have the lowest price for the Canon T4i w/ lens at $869. I placed an order last 7/11 and they confirmed my order last 7/13. I was really relieved when I received the Brand New unit w/ Canon USA Warranty card last 7/20. I am very happy with how fast they shipped my order.
Let me compare my experience w/ the reviews I've read:
1. Grey/Gray Market units - I got a Canon USA Warranty
2. Force upsell of accessories - I didnt encounter this
3. Hard to contact their sales rep - Yes, you have to wait for a couple of minutes before they pick up the phone.
4. They bribe their customers w/ freebies just to provide 5stars reviews - I didnt get this. Hope I did :)
5. Back order if you didnt buy additional accessories - obviously, i got my item on time.
I just felt sad after seeing the price went down to $829 ($40 difference w/ my price). I just hope they'll compensate me for the price drop.. I will let you know if they do!
Overall, I had a very good experience with them.

Ok, I just called them to check if they can do something about my concern (price drop). One ring and someone answered the phone. I spoke with Reggie and he clearly explained why they could not credit back the difference. Instead, he offered a lens filter for compensation! Wow, they trully value their customer! I had very opposite experience compared to their bad reviews! Giving them 5 stars!"
"This was the worst Customer Service experience in my 58 years of life. I ordered my camera on June 19th and was told by customer that I would get free shipping in 7 to 9 business days, after two weeks I called and was told by service employee #1 it was back ordered, they sent me e-mails and it would be here in three days. I have no record of e-mails and it was not there in 5 days. I called again and was told by customer service employee #2 it was being shipped fed ex and would be here in three days, I asked for a tracking # and was told it could not be given out until that evening and I would be contacted by Fed Ex. Obviously Fed Ex did not contact me that night. I called the next day and was told by the only employee who even tried to find out the truth, Reggie, that there was some mix up and it would by there by July 11th. It was not available for pick up at fed ex until July 12th. I was also told that for my trouble I would be getting some extra items free, guess what - no extra items only what I paid for. I did finally get my camera and the price was very good BUT this outfit does not give a hoot about the customer, with the possible exception of Reggie, or giving them good service. Regarding the numerous great reviews; I can only assume that either these customers were lucky or the reviews were planted."

"I decided to get rid of all my Nikon gear and move over to Canon. I searched the web and found that Bestpricephoto.com had the best price but it was for a gray market 5D mark iii. Instead I ordered a U.S. Model for a higher price. Normal shipping was 7-9 days but I needed the camera sooner cause I was going on vacation. That is where Reggie came in to help. He offered me a decent price to overnight it and the camera came in a day earlier than thought. I spoke to Reggie late on Wedneday and it came in on Thurdsday to my surprise. When I received the camera I felt a little uneasy because I thought I got the gray market camera. Found out that they took the camera from a kit package and mailed me only the camera and components.
