"bought a home warranty on my heating/ ac/ n hot water heater n paid 6 months in advance. heating element went out bge tech was suppose to be here at 5pm n did nocome till 810 pm was here for one n half hrs. did not have the parts n i had to wait for 2 n a half wks. n 2 techs came out n could not figure it out n why the original tech did not come back i really cant figure it out . new appt. was made n the original tech called n cancelled so now its been 1 n a half months n my heat bill is killing me running on a half of an element. called cust. service n carly is the most rude n unconcerned agent ive ever talked to n still i have not got heat n dont know wen i will. im a 70 yr. old vet with a 40 yr. old challened son and wen this is said n done i will be going to a different power co. n changeing my home warranty coverage as well. to leave an old vet with cancer n no heat has got to be a sin somewhere."
"In 2015 I had all of my windows replaced by BGE Home. At that time I was assured that I had a life time warranty for all parts and labor even including broken glass. In 2021 I accidentally discovered a hole in the frame of the bedroom window. The hole was very close to the edge so it was not very visible. There were small cracks and rust around the hole. I contacted BGE Home and sent out a tech who ruled out that this damage most likely occurred during the installation as a result of a metal piece (possibly a screw) being trapped within the frame and forced through the frame. He said that it was impossible to fix this damage and the hole window would need to be replaced. Then weeks passed with no updates. Finally, I was contacted by BGE Home and told that I would be charged $150.00 for the repairs. I argued that this damaged was caused during the installation, went unnoticed and ultimately I have been under impression that my original life time warranty was covering everything. BGE Home waived the charge. Today a tech came to fix the window. He brought a small plastic cap that he pushed through hole. That was it. The hole is still there and the rust will be going on as it will be raining and snowing, etc. My impression is that BGE Home does not stand by it's warranty. They say certain things to attract customers but in reality they do not fulfill their obligations and do not grant warranty"
"For many years I have had a full house warranty including the pipes out side. I was told from the beginning that with a full house plan, when service was needed I would be a priority. Well trust me that was not the case. The majority of times I would call, the person on the other end of the phone had the attitude they could care less what you had, such is this review. I called this past Saturday, (3-28-21)in the evening to see if weekend appointments were available, I was told “no.” When the representative asked what was wrong I told her my oven was not keeping a steady temperature, and I was told “that’s all we have.” I called again on Sunday (3-29-21) not only did I get the same response but now the date was a week later. This was basically the worst service ever with BGE Home, because of this, it cost me over $400.00 in repairs, that’s a lot of money to put out, when you have a contract. No recommendations will be coming from this home owner and if they do they will not be positive.

I am a VERY dissatisfied BGE Home service policy holder. I surely don't see any value for the money I spend on the service policies."
