"The first time I called waited on line for 20 minutes, and was then told it would be a four month wait. Could not use the online scheduling site since it did not offer any dates of service that I could select from. Then I was able to make it go through but you had no record of it in your software. Second time more smoothly, only on hold for a few minutes and they scheduled my service call when a week."

"I've been a BGEHome SmartService for many years. Usually when I need service, I can get through quickly to schedule an appointment that takes place within a day or two. For this recent incident, I was on hold on the phone for 45 minutes and then was told my appointment couldn't be scheduled for a week. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was placed on hold for 5 more minutes and then told that someone by the name of Mr. Palmer would call me before 7:00 p.m. that night. Mr. Palmer never called which prompted me to make a second call the next day. I again waited on hold for about 15 minutes. I was able to schedule an appointment but it still required a 5 day lag. Unacceptable level of service while price continues to go up every year. Will be looking at other service providers as an alternative to BGEHome."
