"Buyers beware!!
The mosts horrible experience I've ever had buying online.
Ordered Minolta flash 5600HS. The item was mentioned 'in stock' on their website. Knowing that Minolta gear became hard to find, called the store before purchasing to confirm availability. Ordered right after being assured they have it. Not a single call from them since! After a couple of days I called myself to get tracking info and was told instead they do not have the item. Hence, they charged the card immediately after order was placed without item in stock. I called several times since then trying to get a refund. It's almost a month since I placed the order - no refund yet. Filed a complain to credit card company, they credited the account and currently working out the situation with the 'merchant'. IBUYDIGITAL people simply think they can use your money indefinitely and for free. The manner they speak to the customer also leave a lot to be desired. An absolute disappointment.

"I bought a camera from ibuydigital last friday and requested overnight shipping (paying their 39.95 charge for it). Not only did I not receive it the next day but when I called they alternately told me that it had been shipped, and when i asked for the tracking number, they said it hadn't been shipped but will be soon. They assured me that they would email me the tracking number later today. Until now, I have still not received a tracking number.

I tried to cancel, realizing they didn't have it in stock, but they refused to allow me to cancel saying that it would be shipped.

They were very rude and I would definitely recommend steering clear of them.

I've also noticed that they seem to pad reviews here and especially on shopping.yahoo.com with their own favorable reviews.

In fact, on yahoo, I placed this complaint in the review section and it was never posted to the site (i submitted it about 12 hours ago). So I'm thinking Yahoo is making a big enough profit on many of these vendors to actually censor unfavorable posts.

I did a little digging and have come up with some other companies that seem to be related to this one:

Another problem with these guys is they often sell refurbished items which are defective. I know this because I bought from them before but under a different company name (I didn't realize ibuydigital was the same as the one I dealt with before). The last time I bought a dvd player which came in an opened box and was defective. When I called them to return it, they initially told me to contact the manufacturer for service. After a few subsequent calls they reluctantly agreed to give me an RMA number to return it. I waited three weeks for a credit and after repeated unsuccessful attempts to get a credit I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

No one should have to go thru these kinds of hassles to buy a mundane every day item.

This is the sort of store giving the internet and online shopping a bad name.

I will never go thru shopping.yahoo.com for products again nor will i ever buy from any of the companies listed above which have as their address "252 Conover Street, Brooklyn, NY".

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! PRICE WAS REASONABLE, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. IT'S BEEN 2 WEEKS AND I HAD TO CANCEL THE ORDER (WHICH SURPRISED ME THAT THEY LET ME DO SO). THE ONLY TIME THEY CONTACT YOU IS WHEN THEY WANT TO CHARGE THE CARD. AFTER THAT, YOU'RE SCREWED. "placed order for Sony HDR-HC3E camcorder with "real deal" on 4/21, received order on 4/27. Was surprised to find out that they shipped me an HDR-HC3EK which is the deluxe version with many extra goodies (2 FP60 batteries, blank HD tape, 128K Sony duo memory stick, cleaning tape). I did not buy from another seller who was $100 cheaper but, had a bad rating on Resellerratings. Getting all the free goodies made the "Real Deal" price competitive with that of the bargain price vendor.I have ordered several times from this family of vendors and have always received excellent service. "

"Ordered camcorder and camera on 4/13 on web site. I was immediately given an order number. There was no upsell, no bait and switch, no nothing. My account on their site said accounts are updated in 24 to 48 hours, but is is still not there. I was concerned whether they had both, one or none in stock. On the 17th, I was notified by Fedex that a package was on the way from dbuys. On the 19th a box arrived with both items. They were poorly packed, using a second-hand box that arrived with crushed and broken places, but inner containers seem OK. Fedex may have been to blame for the damage to the box. They used inflatable bags instead of popcorn, and one bag was not fully inflated, so things were loose inside.

Based on this, I would consider using them again, but poor packing and lack of order status information on the site is a minus. With good packing and current order status of my account on their site, I would give them higher marks than I did. I would also recommend ordering multiple items individually, as you might get more information that way.

I certainly had none of the negatives previous reviewers have cited.

"Ordered Olympus EVOLT E-500 digital camera kit with two zoom lenses. Admittedly I was hesitant to place an on-line order with so many bad reviews, but I couldn't resist the price and the option of no-cost shipping. I placed the order on-line on a Sunday and had the camera kit by Wed PM via FedEx. The outer shipping box looked ragged (reused) and I would have preferred to see a bit more packing material across the top of the inner package, but everything was fine. I received multiple confirmation emails from DBUYS,tracking status update emails, and no phone calls from the company. No complaints from me..."

"Placing the order was easy, although some sort of error occurred at the end. I contacted customer service and they responded quickly to confirm the order. The order arrived when promised. The packaging was not up to expectations -- the product was free to move five inches in one axis. I'm sure that it received some shipping stress, but it worked fine upon arrival."

"Poor customer service and tracking - I ordered the camera on Monday, it was supposed to ship at least by Wednesday. I called on Thursday and found out that they had "oversold" that model and that I would not be receiving it. I!! had to call them, and their on-line tracking said nothing of it. They should have CALLED, or EMAILED, or POSTED on their website, but failed to do any of these. "

"WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIER LOW PRICES, FREE SHIPPINGS and FAKE FEEDBACKS. I should've done my research before making a purchase from DBUYS.COM (IbuyDigital, CameraClub, etc... same people). I was looking for the Nikon D50 SLR digital camera so I can take pictures for my friend's wedding. I did a pricegrabber search on the Nikon D50 SLR camera and they showed up with low prices and good reviews (4.5 / 5 stars) on Pricegrabber. So I thought this seems like a good company to order from. Their website showed that they have it in-stock and usually ship 1-2 days. After they've charged my credit card 3-14-2006, I waited 3 days before I check for the status of my order. "is pending to be shipped". OK fine, only a day late.
next day same thing, so I waited after the weekend, On Monday, check the status again and it's the same thing, so I emailed and called customer service. I was placed on hold over 30mins so I hang up and emailed them. Never got reply back. Now it's been 8 days I've yet to receive any email response or tracking number. Stats is still "Pending to be shipped".
They have my money but no merchandise to show for. I will NEVER do any kind of business with this company and make sure all my family/friends/assisiates do the same. Terrible company to do business with. I've filed a BBB complain and about to file a lawsuit with all the people they've taken advantage of. How these people stay in businese is beyond me. I'm surprised the authorities haven't investigated and shut them down yet. I work for a government agency and I will definitely report them. I'll be sueing them for my $573 back.

DON'T BE FOOL BY THEIR LOW PRICES, WHATS THE POINT IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET THE DELIVERY ANYWAY.

"DBUYS.COM is a DISREPUTUABLE COMPANY. Ordered a Nikon D50 kit and they offered the lowest price and inventory showed in stock. They called to confirm and to sell me another battery but declined and then they said it would ship in 24-48 hrs. Made second call to check and they said 24-48 hrs to ship. Then after 3 days and not shipped - they said error in system and not in stock. Have you heard that scam before? I speculate they sold inventory for higher price than the one offered to me. I would not do business with this company again."

"SCAM WEBSITES, AVOID
BAIT AND SWITCH

First of all, please be aware that this company goes under MANY different names: IbuyDigital.com, Central Digital, dbuys.com, CameraClub, IbuyPlasma, RealDealShop. How many legitimate companies do this?

I tried to buy an expensive 40" LCD tv from them because they have a very good price and good average reviews. The first problem was that their website said free shipping, but I got a confirmation email that overcharged me $150 from the page where I entered my credit card info.

2 days later the company responded and after I brought up the extra shipping charges, they said it was a glitch in the system and I wouldnt be charged the extra $150. Ok. So then he tries to tell me I would need an extra white glove shipping charge of $100 since Im not at a house, so I arranged a house where it could be delivered. Next he tried to sell me an EXPENSIVE extended warrantee and tried to push it on my multiple times but I refused. He also asked me if I needed any cables, but I said no to all of that.

2 day AFTER that (4 days since the order), I get an email stating that they are out of stock so my order is being cancelled. No one calls me or gives me an option of waiting for new shipments or anything.

On top of that, if you go to their website (or any of their alterntive named websites), they all claim that the TV is in stock. So the websites are just fake and always claim everything is in stock, or else they decided to cancel my order because I didnt buy anything extra.
