"Avoid these guys. It appears their game is to sell you accessories where they make their profit
margin and if you don't buy them
they verbally harass you and try to get you to cancel your order.

I ordered a videocamera on 3 feb. Two days later I get a voicemail from them wanting to verify the order.

Here's what "Jim", phone number ***-***-**** x558, said to me when I got through to him the following day, Feb 6:

"Jim": "We have a special where if you buy an external battery charger you get an extra battery for free with that. Would you like that?"

me: "No, thanks"

"Jim":"Well what are you going to use for a battery?"

me: "The one it comes with"

"Jim":"oh but that only lasts for 5 minutes. what are you going to do with it, resell it?"

me: "no i'm using it for recording"


then verbal abuse with implications that i was being unfriendly: 'did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?"

"Jim": "recording what?"

me: "when will you be shipping this out?"

"Jim": "within 72 hours of charging your card, which we'll go ahead and do now if you are fine with that?

me: "but i placed the order on the 3rd and your site said you'd ship it out within 72 hours of the order being placed?"

"Jim": "we haven't charged your card yet, but we can charge it now and ship out within 72 hours from now, if you'd like to go ahead with that"

me: "no thanks, cancel my order"

don't know how they get such great feedback from others -- maybe they've jacked the system. or maybe i just had the lucky lottery ticket.

"Despite all the negative comments about this store, I ordered from them anyway. I made sure to do my research about the product I was buying so I knew what scams are out there and what could go wrong. I ordered the Canon Digital Rebel XT. Things to make sure when you receive it from any sketchy place… battery is new from canon (not switched out with a unknown name), has all the accessories battery cover, strap for camera manuals etc, and the warranty cards.

So the only thing missing from my box is the warranty card for the camera body, which is a slight concern but not at the same time. I called canon twice and spoke to them about my purchase, I convinced them to check the serial number for theft and service and nothing turned up from their computer. He told me that every camera comes with a hard copy warranty card, I only had one for my lens. So either someone returned this camera and the card is missing, or they took it out. Doesn’t seem to do any one any good since it has my serial number printed on the card. I’ll have to look into why it might be missing and what they could do with it. I can register online with canon for my warranty and I need to have a copy of my receipt if I need to use the warranty since I don’t have the card for the camera. Canon prefers the receipt anyways so they know the exact date of purchase.

As far as I can tell at the moment the camera functions well. I know people complained about the packaging, which consists of a balloon of air pushed against the box. It would be nice to have more protective packaging since you know that FedEx throws them around. I am going to shoot a lot of pictures to make sure pictures aren’t grainy from dropping of the camera.

Shipping was faster then expected. I was going to do basic ground but then I said I will need a tracking number for that and she told me that it wouldn’t have one on that shipping option, I argued a little that all fedex packages have tracking but upgraded to the next one for 5 dollars more which I don’t care if I give them the extra five bucks so I have a tracking number.

Overall it was fine in the end, it seems that the camera is working well. You read all the negative reviews and you get worried about your order or ordering from them. I paid with a credit card, if I had any issues I can dispute the charge which I have no problem doing. Being a college student, I have very little money, and two I don’t mind arguing with arrogant people:) If you are not willing to take a chance then I would say pay retail for it at a local store, where you know you can bring it back in person. One last comment, people tend to only write reviews when they have had bad service, not when everything goes right. Every business out there makes mistakes, I took that chance and I didn’t have one.

"What can I say. I ordered it on Wednesday at 4pm and asked for overnight shipping, and by Thursday 11 a.m it was on my doorstep. I ordered the Sony HD Camcorder from them, they had one of the best prices, but a better reputation than those that were lower ( $10 is not abig difference)...They were courteous, and quick, and never asked me to buy anything else ( though I did order a 5 pack of the HD tapes). They weren't sure if they could get it out that day since it was so late in the day, but they promised to do their best, which they apparently did. Thanks very much, and I'd encourage anyone to use this reseller!"

"Be wary of this shop! They list unbelievable prices for a reason. Products are not well described and what are standard products at other shops all the sudden don't include batteries, chargers or other standard accessories included everywhere else. Additionally to catch you they had a promotion for getting a free tripod on phone orders only. Thus you call in instead of placing an online order, thus losing some tracking capability and ability to provide easy reviews. Their call center people are sharks! They try to cross sell you items which are more expensive over the phone than on their site, and 5 times more expensive than I could find in other places! Double check the exact details of your items!"

"My purchase was a 50in Pioneer Plasma 5060hd tv. I was wary about purchasing a big ticket item from this vendor after reading many of the negative reviews posted on this site. However, I knew what I was getting into and so I was prepared to deal with any run around from their sales associates. Except for a couple of minor issues* I was very satisfied in my experience with I Buy Digital. My order was delivered 10 days after it was placed (I live in SoCal). The tv came factory sealed and my very picky husband had no complaints whatsoever. The freight companies(Manna Freight and Shotgun Delivery) were very professional from their customer service to the driver. Price, product, and service of this transaction was an overall good experience.
*Many online vendors had this tv priced hundreds of dollars more and didn't have it in stock. After I placed my order I called back two days later to get a tracking number and was told that the shipment was still on the loading dock due to bad weather. Needless to say I was not too happpy. The following day I received a call from my sales associate and he wanted to tell me personally that the shipment left and he gave me the tracking number. Much appreciated the extra effort on his part.
Do be aware that they will try to sell you extras. In my case the extended warranted was really pushed hard. After back and forth negotiations I did purchase the 3 yr warranty backed by MACK. I took into account that due to the lower price I paid for the tv, my total amount paid would have been the same elsewhere at "highly rated" vendors. Also my shipping was upgraded to 3-7 business days.
Do your research and know what you are getting into and that way you'll be prepared to deal with these online companies.

"ibuyplasma.com is the WORST!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

i placed my order on a sunday morning and the site says orders shipped within 48 hours. tuesday afternoon i get a call saying they need to verify the shipping address and that the shipping address needs to be registered with my credit card company!!?? i use a debit card and my bank says that is a ridiculous request. especially for an ecommerce business since people buy gifts and have them sent to the receiver.
so, i cancel the order after dealing with rude and condescending ladies on the phone. later that day they charge my card!!!
the next day, they call again asking for the same stuff from tuesday. knowing that my card was charged i just figured there was some miscommunication and the order was already sent. nope!!! (at this point i just wanted the camera sent so it got to my brother in time)
so, it wasn't sent, the order is cancelled and now they say it will take 10-14 business days to get my money back!!! $435!!!! so, now i can't even take my business anywhere else because ibuydigital/ibuyplasma has my money!!!! most companies will have your money back in 24-48hrs..


SO, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

"Great experiance, would order again with confidence.
Ordered Panasonic PV-GS150 Camcorder on Thurs. 11/10/05. Price, including shipping, was in top 2% of all websites listed on RR. Salesman was a bit curt, but I wasn't there to make a new pal either. Total time on phone, including hold and order was under 5 mins-- very efficient. Order shipped that night (3 day fedex) and I received confirmation email the next morning. I received in California on Monday, 11/14/05.
The shipping box could have been packed with more care (eg. more fill so unit's box wouldn't rattle around), but the camcorder was fully operational and as described (new, sealed, original box, USA model).

"Don't believe the fake reviews you read about this dishonest reseller. I ordered a cell phone from them. The next day, I checked my credit card account online and saw that they had charged my account for the item. A week later, there was no shipping e-mail and the order status was still "order sent to warehouse for shipping" so I tried e-mailing them for an order status. 2 days went by and no response so I tried calling them. I kept getting voicemail for 2 days and on the 3rd day I finally spoke to a customer rep who said that the item was not in stock and offered to sell me another model for the same price. Smelling a scam, I declined and asked that the order be cancelled. The rep said it will be cancelled immediately. 5 days after that phone conversation, I received an e-mail that the order was cancelled. 22 days after they improperly charged my card, they sent e-mail that they will issue a credit. I checked my account and they haven't issued a credit yet. Stay away from this company, they are a nightmare to deal with. I will be calling my credit card company to block payment."

"Excellent vendor and price. Merchandise was exactly as described and delivered quicker than quoted. I ordered a Nikon D50 camera from IBuyDigital.com on a Sunday afternoon (They are open on Sunday, but not Saturday). I called to place the order to insure that they had the item in stock and confirm that the camera was black and carried a USA warranty. I selected the economical Fedex ground shipment which had a quoted total delivery time of 7-10 days. They shipped the order on Monday and sent me an email with a tracking number. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they upgraded me to 3-day shipping at no extra charge. Fedex then delivered the camera in 2 days instead of 3. The camera arrived on Wednesday, roughly 72 hours after I ordered it. One minor gripe, the salesman told me that they would send me an order confirmation email; they did not. I had to create an account on their web site to confirm the order, and creating the account required that I provide a credit card number that they store. I used a Citicard virtual account number to prevent them from storing my real cc number."

"I can only give a A+ to this vendor. I placed my order at midnight 2 Nov after finally deciding to get the Panasonic LX1 camera. I recieved a automated confirmation reponse just a few minutes later. At 11:00 AM the 3rd I recieved a confirmation call. He was just verifying the order as I had asked for Fedx overnite shipping. He did ask me if needed anything else. I said no. There was no hard pressure to make any extra purchases. At 2:56 PM I recieved a tracking number from Fedx.I then recieved the camera at 12:56 PM 4 Nov.

I would absolutely consider more purchases fron this vender. The price was right, the service was great even with the obligitory confirmation phone call, and the item was shipped and recived right on time.

"BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE, this company also goes by other names on pricewatch and makes false positive ratings about itself. By orders of magnitude, the worst company I've ever dealt with. Charged my credit card right away. Called me five days latter to "confirm shipping address". Shipped a defective digital camera after to me they said it had been shipped 3 times earlier. Impossible to contact, don't answer phones for 30 minutes or respond to emails. They are selling Restock damaged goods as new. They failed after a couple weeks to refund my money for the defective camera, after lying to me day after day. I'm not the only person, everyone has the same problem, avoid this company at all costs."
