"I ordered a Panasonic PV-GS400 and after two weeks of hearing nothing I phoned them up and was told the order hadn't been placed, even though they had charged my credit card mand called me to try and sell me additional goods several days after I had placed the order. I straightened that out after agreeing to buy a tripod that they claimed was bundled with the camea and the only way I could get immediate shipment.

The new order was placed and was told the item would be shipped the same day. I waited another two weeks and they confirmed the item hadn't been shipped again but would be shipped the next day.

They offered to ship the item immediately and give me a shipping upgrade. I cancelled the order but have not received a credit on my charge card bill.

I ordered the same item from B&H and received the item in a few days. Are these guys really rated better than B&H on this website? I do not think they are anywhere near as good. I will not use Central digital again. "

I purchased a Panasonic PV-GS250 on October 6, 2005 and it was delivered on October 11, 2005. Product was packaged well, it was brand new and sealed, so it came with all the manufacturers accessories. None of the BS about having to buy things that should be in the package anyway.

I received no emails or phone calls asking me to verify my order or to push additional accessories or warranties, etc. I ordered it and it was shipped. Fantastic!

After I read the store ratings and reviews on this site, where people had delays/changed order issues, I was a bit sceptical. "I ordered a camera from Central Digital on 9/6. I also ordered a CF card from Newegg the same day (I had that shipped via 3-day UPS). I didn't get a confirmation email from Central Digital right away (like I did with Newegg), but CD said it would take 24-48 hours to "post" my order. The next day I had an email saying my camera had been shipped (via 3-day FedEx). My UPS order from Newegg arrived on 9/9, and my Central Digital order arrived on 9/12. Though FedEx took longer, I knew by tracking the package that it was always scheduled to be delivered on 9/12 -- plus they make you sign for the package, which is great for expensive stuff. My camera is wonderful, arrived new and in pristine condition, and the price was the best I could find for a non-grey market item. I had no problems with this order!"

"First, let me say I do not work for this company. I tried to do alot of research on on-line stores before purchasing a digital camera. It seems like all stores have a mix of satisfied and dissatified customers when the reviews are read.
My experience with Central Digital was great, I am thankful to report. I ordered the camera on Labor Day (9/5)and selected 7-10 delivery. On 9/6 I was emailed the Fed Ex link and tracking number and I could see that my package had already been picked up. I was able to watch on-line it each step of the way and it was delivered Thursday 9/8. I was not home and the Central Digital will not allow Fed Ex to leave packages without signature. I picked up the package at the Fed Ex office although they would have attempted delivery the next day. This was somewhat inconvenient for me, but I would rather that they not leave a small $350 package on my front steps.
The camera was received in factory packaging and everything is working as expected.
Central Digital never called me to try to sell me more products and I was glad about that. "
