"A Warning: We'll never do business with these folks again.
I ordered 5 computer hard drives from this vendor. Before placing the order on their web-site, I called and confirmed that the items were brand new, not reconditioned or otherwise previously used as indicated by the item description. The sales representative told me that the items were new. I then placed the order for five Maxtor Atlas 15K II, 147.1 GB Internal Ultra 320 SCSI hard drives. What I received were two Maxtor Atlas 15K II’s and three Maxtor Atlas 15K’s. Our IT staff received the items and attempted to install them. The three Maxtor Atlas 15K’s would not work. After further investigation it was found that none of the drive were delivered in there original factory sealed packaging and two drive showed signs of prior use (physical scratches not found on truly new drives) Furthermore, the date of manufacture for the drives was 2004 for the non-functional drives and 2005 for the other two.
Starting on December 29, 2006, in an attempt to resolve the problem I have email the company twice and left voice-mail messages with their customer service department. On February 8, 2007, having received no response from the company, I shipped all 5 drives (the entire order) along with a copy of the shipping documentation and my emails to the company’s only address listed on their web-site via FEDEX. As of the date of this letter, I have yet to receive any communication from the company nor have I received a credit for my returned purchase

"Disks advertised as having a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Manufacturer's web site says they have NO warranty. Seller refuses to provide return shipping for this bait-and-switch product.
The drives were shipped to me in a box with "popcorn". There was no foam or bubble-wrap to protect the drives. This is worst packing I've ever seen for disk drives. Even if the disks had been what I ordered, I'd have returned them as improperly packaged.

28-FEB-2007 - Response received from Etech4sale. They suggested that I go through the RMA process again, just the way I did in the first place. They've got a SERIOUS problem in their handling of RMAs. They need to FIX it. Waiting for a REAL response.
16-MAR-2007 - Received a request to call them. I see this as a thinly veiled request to go through the RMA process again, which is something that I have ABSOLUTELY no intention of doing. Still waiting for a real response. It's been two months since I asked them to mail me the shipping label, and they still don't seem to be able to do it.
NOTE: It appears that Etech4sale has ONE tool for RMAs, and it's broken. I bet this does wonders for decreasing RMA costs and increasing profits. If the incorrect/bad/broken item doesn't get returned because they can't properly process the RMA, it's PROFIT, and there is no RMA cost."
