"Logitech MX700 listed as new & in stock at great price. Called & confirmed. Then received different MX900 refurbished without box or batteries (but wrapped/shipped very well). No one ever asked if I wanted this sub & it doesn't even appear on their website. Two call reply times not honored. MX900 refurb did work perfectly & retail MSRP (new) is $30 more, so I didn't mind model change or refurbished but I wanted the expensive NIMH 2 AA batteries that are part of the product. Service Manager finally called back & fast Fedexed the batteries.
Logitech boxes include quality batteries. Etech4sale website sells Sony (also quality), but what they sent me is Lenmar (a junk brand that needs recharge 4 times as often). I'm 'happy' they finally called & expedited shipping, but overall my feelings are mixed based on above. They couldn't explain how/why I received the wrong mouse. They still showed MX700 in stock, but then couldn't locate it.
Overall I'd say they're an honest company with some great prices (saw some strange high prices on some of their website items, so a 'mixed bag' & you need as always to shop wisely) & their employees are very pleasant to talk to when not "in a meeting". They do need to improve their overall system. I see other buyer feedback here where wrong item was also shipped. They need to email/call for okay before shipping a substitution (& not shipping without knowing what they shipped).
I wouldn't mind ordering another refurbished MX900 from their site if it actually showed there & if the right quality batteries were included, but I don't know how I'd know :-)
I'll also add I called Logitech to be sure it wasn't counterfit. Logitech doesn't actually refurbish. They test returns that 'newbs' couldn't learn to use or were returned with any excuse to a store. If it works they cross out serial # sell in cheap bulk to a few vendors (WITH the batteries). If it doesn't work, they trash it. So a Logitech refurbished is 99% going to be okay. "
