"I purchased a Panasonic DMC-LC5S digital camera after finding an excellent price for it via pricegrabber. There was initially a problem verifying my address with the credit card company which delayed my order for a few days (over a weekend). I called them up the following monday, and was told that my order would be finished "processing" that day or the next. The next day I called again near the end of the business day, and was told that my order would be shipped out that day. That night I received my tracking number.

My package arrived on time and in very good condition. My preference would have been to include a few more 'peanuts' in the package just to make sure it was packed solidly, as there was some slight jiggling in the box. Still, it was packed well enough that I doubt that anything but the biggest drop would have damaged it.

For me, the biggest problem I had with my order was the paranoia produced by some of the bad reviews. My personal experience was excellent.

"Well guys, as you can see, with this company you have a 65% chance of not being burnt and a 35% chance of being sent to hell.

I ordered a set of pioneer TS-D160R speakers because they had the lowest price of *$69.99* !!

I placed the order on 5/5/2003 and on 5/6/2003 they had shipped it! The order status page is stuck on "processing" so I called the customer service people and they told me that it shipped and they gave me the tracking number.

They have treated me very professionaly and courteously.

I have not received the item yet, but when I do, I will add the review of that here. Hopefully, it will arrive in new working condition, as it should.

I DEALT WITH ETRONICS AND I SAVED $20 AND I WAS NOT BURNED!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOO

EDIT,
I GOT THE TS-D160R SPEAKERS BRAND NEW IN THE UNOPENED PIONEER FACTORY BOX AND I AM JAMMIN!!

"Called and verified item was in stock. Placed order and called the next day to verify status. Was told order scheduled to ship the following Monday(since they were closed the Passover weekend). Called again Monday and was told item not in stock. All this time order status just said "Processing". If a store doesn't have something in stock they ought to say so or atleast tell you when asked rather than just saying it is scheduled to ship and then later saying it is no longer available. I hesitate to do business with this store anymore. I'd rather pay a bit more and deal with a store that has a realtime inventory(wake up retailers!)."

"I ordered a Pioneer CD player for my car from Etronics. The cost of the CD player was MUCH lower then everywhere else, even after you add in the overpriced shiping cost. It arrived to me in perfect condition & was packed in a huge box, because you all know how UPS treats your packages. I plan to buy from them again very soon"

"Avoid etronic and don't waste your time especially for Candian buyers. I placed the order for a pair of Sennheiser HD280PRO from them when it was in stock and through borderfree.(checkout for Canadians) Waited about a week or so when I'm suppose to get a email notice from borderfree for repackage tracking number to me. I emailed etronics to see if they actually shipped out the order already to borderfree to process it and they said yes and should wait for borderfree's notice.(I couldn't check the order myself since it is not domestic order.)
So I kept waiting for another week or so for borderfree to contact me. After 2 weeks or so, I felt it is taking way too long even with the slowest shipping method. So I emailed both etronics and borderfree to hear what they have to say. Borderfree told me they still haven't received the order from etronics and the etronics' exact reply was "We apologize for the inconvenience, but we have unexpectedly and temporarily run out of the item that you ordered.
However, it is expected to be back in stock in the next 3-5 business days, and will be shipped to you as soon as it arrives." WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?! 2 weeks ago they told me it was shipped then and I wasted time waiting for something that was never in stock in the first place. They lied to me and then told me it was out of stock after more than 2 weeks?! I could've order from somewhere else later and gotten the same thing already + better exchange rate and no stupid borderfree fees! So I cancelled my order and swore never buy from them ever again!

"I ordered a new deck for my car on monday. It took them 2 days for verification and I had to get the shipping address "notated". I noticed today they were closing for passover today at 2. I called them to see if they are shipping my order (my deck was "in stock-1-2day proccessing time). They said no, it is out of stock! They say they will have more in next week, I will believe it when I see it, needless to say, I am very dissapointed in them. It is now supposed to arrive the thursday after next."

"After looking at Ebay sellers offering this item for the same price, I ordered the Sony SA-WM40 Active Subwoofer fir $134.99, shipping was 35$, which I thought was rather high until I realized how heavy it was. I got an email with the UPS tracking number, and it was delivered on time. It arrived in it's Sony box and factory packaging, in one piece and undamaged. I have absolutely no complaints about the transaction from online purchase to the delivery of the speaker, and would purchase from them again, as this is the second time I have made an online purchase, the first one being a Sony Flash for my Sony F707 in April 2002, with the same satisfaction for that purchase as well."

"I chose Etronics because it's one of the e-tailers that ships to Canada through Borderfree.
This means it will give you the total price in Canadian $. For the rest of us up here that order from the states we know how much more it could end up costing once it crosses the border.
Ordered March 10th, order shipped march 14th from the warehouse to Borderfree.
It was repacked and check at customs and arrived at my door step March 25th.
I was a bit concerned ordering from etronics at first, they have great prices but since they're from NY, I was not sure they belonged to the group of shady dealers.
Overall I'm very satisfied and I saved over $280 dollars canadian over the price purchase at Henry's.

"Horrible packaging. In fact, no packaging as it was sent in the original manufacterers box. Broken on delivery. Not UPS's fault, box was in perfect condition. Wouldn't exchange product. Wanted to go through the trouble of filing a claim with UPS. That process would take 2-3 weeks. Horrible service. Would never buy there again."

"TERRIBLE MERCHANT! Ordered 2/26. All items listed as "In Stock"; lie #1. Called 3/3 to see why order hadn't shipped, was told "order will ship tomorrow"; lie #2. Called 3/5 to see why order hadn't shipped. Was told the the Pioneer stereo actually was OUT OF STOCK. I canceled the order at that time. The next day 3/6 my CC was charged for this order. Unbelieveable!!! Called and was told that the order was canceled, but was billed by mistake and I would be "issued a refund in 2-3 days", lie #3. Checked my statment 3/12, still no refund!!! Called and was told I would be "issued a refund in 2-3 days". I cried BS! and that I wanted a refund today. Was assured that the credit will be put thorough today. We will see...
UPDATE. It is now 3/17, still no refund. Called again today and was told the credit was put through yesterday (on a Sunday....). Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that she (Julia) was the supervisor. Asked to speak to her supervisor and was told he would be back on March 27th. Enough of this BS!!! Just got off the phone with Discover and have been credited back for the transaction. Discover will now take care of the refund from etronics! NEVER NEVER NEVER again from this bunch of $%&^*)(*''s.

" Ordered twice from the, First time, It wasnt their fault, but the UPS' fault (their only shipping method). If you dislike UPS and prefer fedex, avoid this reseller. I had nothing but trouble with UPS. But i'm not here to talk about UPS. 2nd time i ordered, i thought UPS wouldnt make mistake anymore.. and they didnt. This time etronics did. Ordered set of headphones from them. And left side of speaker didnt work. I sent e-mail complaining and requesting for RMA, they replied next day with RMA#. It was fine until i shipped my order. After week, still no reponse nor replacement. And i live in New York City where the company is located. It takes 1 day to get the delivery using UPS ground (slowest shipping ever)."
