I cannot begin to express how pleased I am about etronics.com! This was my first cross-border order of a Canon EOS lens and I must admit I was a little skeptical.
I ordered from etronics.com simply because they were affiliated with borderfree.com and all costs (price, taxes, shipping, duty, etc.) are shown up front in Canadian dollars.
After my order was processed, I received an email with a UPS tracking number. I was able to track my order from NY to the Borderfree wharehouse. I then received an email from Canada Post which allowed me to track my order as it moved through the Canadian postal system!
All things considered, a very positive purchasing experience! I will definitely be ordering from etronics.com again and look forward do doing business with them in the future!

"I checked their web site and then called them to confirm an item was in stock before ordering. A few days later, an email advised me that the item was out of stock. I tried to cancel the order on their web site but I couldn't because the button for cancellation did not show up. I have to called customer service to cancel after a 10-minute hold. This is a typical operation to get your order with no item in stock and hold your order for ever so that you cannot buy from others. I will not buy from them again!"
"E-tronics did not deliver the ordered goods:
- First they took two days to process the credit card
- Then they sent an e-mail that one of the goods could not be delivered and cancelled the whole order. I wished they'd given me the option to keep the rest coming.
- Their customer service department kept me on hold for more than an hour & in the end I never spoke to them."
"Item ordered on Saturday 8/30/2003 (Subwoofer), estimated ship date was Thursday. Its now the following Saturday, the item still hasn't shipped, and their customer support department isn't even open on saturdays. With this companys bad reputation, and very slow processing, I would not order from them again."

At first, there was a problem verifying the information for my VISA card, but all I needed to do was email them the phone number for the card issuer so they could verify it.
That didn't take long at all.
If it wasn't for this, my order would have shipped out quicker than it did.
It ended up taking about 8 days to get my order, but Etronics.com was VERY informative by sending me emails with my order status whenever it changed.
They provided me with a tracking number once it shipped and I was able to track it right on their website.
Hopefully in the future they won't have to verify my card again, so my orders can ship out quicker.
All in all, Etronics has a great selection of products, reasonable prices, an attractive looking website, and good service.

"Ordered a Digitalway DMK MP3 player. Shipping was very fast, and the item works perfectly. However, Etronics sent the wrong product. I ordered the "blue" model, and even though "blue" was indicated on the e-mail receipt *and* the invoice included with the shipped product, they sent the silver model."

The bad taste that AIWA had left and the matter is still ongoing made me become skeptical of online resellers especially after dealing with Tech Savings! I ordered on the 13th of August and thought I would have to wait at least a couple of days for processing but to my delight I received an email later that same day that it was shipped! My only complaint is that I never received e-mail confirmation that my order had shipped, but I received my order on the estimated date given at the time I placed the order.
