A Canon T4i body-only camera was ordered due to its low price. In the same order, an extra battery was added because there was an advertised deal to add a battery to the order and receive another free.
When the box arrived later, the camera body was within the box but the purchased additional battery and the free extra were not shipped. Our credit card was charged somewhat more than we expected.
The day after the product's arrival we managed to work out the differences with Ralph. Thanks, guys.

THE PACKAGE CAME WITH UPS AND THE BOX WAS COMPLETELY DAMAGED WHEN IT GOT TO MY DOOR (NOT OVERSTOCKDIGITALS FAULT I KNOW HOW UPS LOVES TO PLAY SOCCER WITH PACKAGES THAT SAY FRAGILE)
I WAS COMPLETELY UPSET BECAUSE MY SHOOT WAS THE FOLLOWING DAY!!!!!
I CONTACTED OVERSTOCKDIGITAL AND EXPLAINED TO THEM THE CONDITION THAT THE BOX CAME IN.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT ASKED IF ANY PART OF THE INTERIOR PACKAGE HAD APPEARED TO BE DAMAGED I TOLD HIM IT LOOKED PRETTY GOOD (BECAUSE THEY DID USE ALOT OF BUBBLE WRAP FOR THE PACKAGE)BUT I DIDNT WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE AFTER SPENDING CLOSE TO 6 GRAND SO I ASKED WHAT WERE MY OPTIONS.
AT THAT POINT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT TOLD ME THAT HE COULD HAVE UPS RETURN THE PACKAGE BACK TO OVERSTOCKDIGITAL, AND HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PACKAGE SENT OVERNIGHT TO ME AT NO CHARGE TO ME SO THAT ID HAVE IT IN TIME FOR MY SHOOT, AND THAT THEY WOULD EVEN INCLUDE AN EXTRA MEMORY CARD FOR MY TROUBLES, OR I COULD RETURN THE PACKAGE FOR A FULL REFUND AND THAT THEY WOULD WAIVE THE RESTOCKING FEE LISTED ON THEIR SITE.
TURTH IS I WAS SHOCKED, AND DID NOT THINK THAT I WOULD ACTUALLY GET IT IN TIME FOR MY SHOOT, BUT I REALLY HAD NO CHOICE AT THIS POINT I WAS REALLY BACKED INTO A CORNER AS MY SHOOT WAS THE NEXT DAY AND I DONT HAVE ANY LOCAL CAMERA SHOPS BY ME, BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT DID INSISIT THAT I WOULD DEFFINATELY HAVE THE PACKAGE WELL IN TIME FOR MY SHOOT.
AT THE END OVERSTOCKDIGITAL DID COME THROUGH WITH WHAT THEY PROMISED AND I HAD MY CAMCORDER THE NEXT DAY AT 10:00 AM IN TIME FOR MY VIDEO SHOOT.
IAM NOT SURE THAT ANY OTHER ONLINE STORE WOULD HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION WITH AS MUCH CLASS AND SWIFTINESS AS OVER STOCK DIGITAL HAS.
OVERSTOCKDIGITAL YOU HAVE DEFFINATELY EARNED MY FUTURE PURCHASES. "
"Unfortunately, the bad reviews listed here all all true. I ordered a Nikon d700 for my daughter since the web site showed that they had it in stock along with quite a nice list of accessories. The next day Logan called for a correct shipping address and tried to get me to buy a d800. My daughter did not want that model so we continued with the original order. Seven days went by without an email so I called. I was transferred to a supervisor who told me they did not have the camera since it was discontinued. I shared that Logan did NOT tell me that AND that their web site, which I just checked, still shows they have it in stock. I canceled the order. After reading reviews here and on other web sites, it made me wonder if they list discontinued items to get people "in the door" so they can sell them something else. I am still waiting for them to show the model as discontinued on their web site."
"Just received an order from overstockdigital and thought id share the experience I had with them as I did see mixed reviews prior to ordering.
As past reviewers had stated I did receive an email to call and confirm my order something that i never experienced from an online company in the past they wanted to make sure i was the one ordering the camera because i was shipping it to my work address as im usually never home during the day to receive my ups shipments but it made sense especially because i was a victim of identity theft in the past.
They made me call my bank to have the address listed on file which i did.
When i called back to tell them that I had added my alternate address on file they had told me that they had already verified that with the bank.
At that point i knew these guys where on the ball and really follow through with their customers.
There was a negative part to the transaction which was that i did have to wait on hold for quite a bit to speak to the billing department.
Overall Remarkable prices I did save a few hundred dollars by purchasing through OverstockDigital,and the phone call back to ensure that my credit card info wasn't hacked was greatly appreciated.
Would consider them for the future as they are a very unique company that does care about their customer"
"I recently placed an order with overstockdigital.com and they were better than the other companies that i dealt with at cheaper prices. There was no games i called and asked if the item was in stock i was told it was so i placed the order and it was shipped out the next day, the product came with all the manufactorer accessories and warranty cards. I did pay a bit more than the other online sites that showed the item i bought at cheaper prices but the peace of mind of not dealing with the upsell and acutally getting the item i ordered was well worth it. "
"Buyer beware! These "guys " advertise low prices and then play games. They accept American Express on the website but then call you to "confirm" your order (what legitimate merchant does that?) and try to push you to a different payment method and up-sell you accessories or bogus warranties.
UPDATE- receive a call today froma rep claiming to be concerned they couldn't satisfy me. It was another pitch to get me to restate the order and change the credit card choice. When I remarked that I had already received the item from another provider the rep had the gall to suggest I return it because he had to be cheaper! "
"CON Artist! Buyer beware!!! Ralph, my sales rep, lied to me about the brand and specs of the lens I was buying, and overcharged me $550. I was also CHARGED $57.83 for FREE shipping, billed as "shipping insurance." Specifically asked if I was buying grey market equipment, to which Ralph replied they don't carry any non US Canon equipment. When I called back to complain about getting Sigma lens instead of the Canon lens I was promised, Ralph told me they don't have any Canon equipment that ISN'T grey market!!! Also I was going to be charged lots of restocking fees, have to pay return shipping, etc. In the end he refunded me $400, but I was still taken for almost $200 over what a reputable seller would have charged me, and I never got the lens I really wanted. I will NEVER buy from these people again."

"Do not waste your time! Ordered the Canon EF 70-200mm f4.0 L which they still show available on the website; it says usually ships in 1-2 days. They send an email to "call and confirm" your order. Which I did. 20minutes during my lunch break. Later in the day I get a call that they do not have it in stock in any of their warehouses and have no idea when they will. I could call back in a couple of weeks. I said this is a christmas gift and could not wait that long to find out if it will even come available. He asked would I like to cancel the order. I said "yes if you do not have the item. Please send me an email that this order is cancelled." No email came. The telephone operators are polite and have cool new jersey accents. That is all."
