"I recently sold my 2021 16" MBP to SellYourMac and was expecting either a lowball offer, or the offer to be modified after they "inspected" my laptop. That seems to be somewhat standard practice in the industry. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I received a fair offer (I may have been able to make more on the private market, but not significantly so) and they honored the price after inspecting the laptop (I was honest about the condition). "The process of selling my MacBook Air was smooth and easy online. The only challenge was packing it properly and safely for the prepaid shipping. And this was not (conceptually) so hard for a small laptop; I wonder about proper packing when I get to selling one of out outdated iMac desktops. But given having solved that problem, the rest was quick and easy."
