"This is my first 5 string bass, but I played several in researching them in music stores, including Ibanez SRT805DX and SR4005E, and the Schecter Stiletto Studio. The first time you play a B string, you realize you're dealing with a different animal because it will challenge you to keep it from ringing out. That said, the other brands seemed downright floppy compared to the MTD. The high end Ibanez was comparable in tone and has Barts, but even if it was the same price, I would still choose the MTD as it gets the edge in being less floppy, neck design, weight, and looks. The tonal range is very broad and I am loving the EQ and blend. I'm playing everything from slap funk to reggae to jazz, and there is absolutely NO compromise in the sounds I'm trying to get. The tapered neck is brilliant! It's thicker at the B and so thin at the G string giving it such a natural feel. Its also very lightweight. The pics don't do it justice. Its gorgeous! Every time I walk by my studio I have to go in and play it, if only for a few minutes. "

"I am a portable DJ who specializes in Wedding events and other party related venues of 500 or less. It is very important to me to have a compact setup that can fit in my vehicle and easy to transport from gig to gig. Obviously I want the best sounding equipment as well and I have found it with my recent purchase of two QSC K12 powered speakers. I was completely blown away by the level of volume these speakers can produce without distorion. These speakers are perfect for my application for many reasons 1: lightweight and very compact 2: the reverse side of the speaker allows for a mic/instr line-in as well as RCA inputs for an MP3 player or aux audio source 3: the clarity of sound they produce is amazing. Many of my events are in hotels and so the venue owners do not encourage the use of any type of subwoofer and so I wanted a speaker that could provide a decent bottom end as well. The DEEP feature on the K12 does just that. The engineers of this speaker have made it so that the K12's low frequency responce is just as impressive as its high frequency reproduction. Obviously the 12" driver cannot produce the same effect as an 18" sub but these speakers hold their ground just fine and they are LOUD. I will be in the market very soon to purchase the Ksub for outside and larger venues but I have never been happier than I am with the QSC K12 powered speaker."

Surely enough a day or so later they got back to me with a price $8 cheaper.
I chose the 4 monthly installment option, which was accepted with in a few days, then the package arrived promptly a few days later.
Overall i was very pleased with the service. I did it all online and didn't need to speak to anyone as there wasn't any problems to resolve.

"I ordered a Fender American Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar (Blizzard Pearl) on 4/14. The web site said the guitar was available. Several hours later I was informed that the guitar was backordered for 2 months. The same thing happened at Musiciansfriend.com. I placed my order on 4 different websites before an order actually went through.

As an Internet Strategist I can state with confidence that brands this large should have overcome this issue years ago. This is a simple problem to solve using online inventory buffers which allow products to sell through offline - through the call center.

If you don't have something available to ship - please don't show it to me. Don't make it available to add to my cart... just take it off your shelf. I don't care if you had it a week ago and I don't care if you are getting it again in 4 weeks. I care about what I can buy today. Anything else is a waste of my time.

On the up side, the customer service reps were polite and helpful in reversing my order.
