"I was a little wary of buying form z-buy because of all the negative posts on here, plus z-buy's VERY exhaustive and restrictive terms of sale, but considering the deal I was getting, I took the gamble anyway. The parts arrived a day early (think this is a fedex thing), in good condition, except for a slightly pushed in cpu box, well-packed. I would do business with them again if I found another really good deal on their site."

"I placed my order on Friday, June 16, and I received an email that day stating my order would ship within 2 days and was being sent via 3 day shipping. So it should have shipped Tuesday and arrived Friday the 20th at the latest.

Nothing received by Monday morning the 23rd, so I sent an email asking for an update. Z-buy responed the same day that item was back ordered, due in next day and order would then ship.

The next day, 24th, Z-buy emails that they have not received back ordered item and offered a substitute.

The 25th I email Z-buy to cancel order. That same day Z-buy cancelled the order.

I was disapointed that Z-buy didn't notify me of the back order and also that their email said item was going to ship.

I was pleased with Z-buy in the way they stayed on top of my order once I brought it to their attention and also with the fact that they respond reasonably quickly to inquiries.

I would do business with Z-buy in the future.

"** UPDATE **
I am VERY Dissapointed how much i had to bug these guys for a stupid Credit... I called, they said around 1-2 weeks. I call 2 weeks later, and all they respond is, "We have recieved your ram"... Thats it. I told her the above, and she said, let me go ask them. So ONLY AFTER i bug them, do they process it. They said they will refund me the next business day... So if u wanta refund, u better write down there Phone ## and ur RMA # and call them alot.

Ordered 2 sticks of pc133 ram from them. Good price, on Micron Ram, but i ended up with Viking ram. From what they say, Viking is a vendor of Micron ram, but they provided not information of that. On all other sites, ie newegg/amazon, they clearly mark it as viking ram, and viking ram alone, not Micron, so this was VERY misleading. No other site labels it as the high quality Micron, which makes me believe this was not micron. Like on most ram, the markings tell where it was from, and for somereason my seach results were inconclusive. The memory ended up not working in 3 computers i had tried. It could have been for compatibilty reason, but i do not know. I prompted for a FULL refund, and they said they would do so :) Happy for me, They said they would also return shipping. I am still in the process of refunding, blah, takes a while, but it is understandable..

I have ordered from here before and it has been a good experience. Customer Service is good, but i was dissapointed w/ the lack of information and misleading title of the ram.

With returing the item i had to call them numerous times. ***THERE NUMBER IS NOT LISTED ON THE SITE*** (or isn't easily available) I attained the number from here. I called 5 times, and had the same lady help me out. She was very nice, and helpful. An A+ to her. She wasn't too hardware savvy, but customer service was excellant. I also emailed all three email adresses found on the site and here. I recieved a response from ALL three within 2 days. Very impressive there. I also like it how they respond to each survey on this site, and i knwo they will read this :).This leads me to believe that they care about customers, even though i wasn't the most satisfied with this specific order. I would deal with them again, and hope for the best.

"what can i say about my experience with z-buy, good price? yeah, i can give you that. low shipping? yeah, it's not free like some of the other places, but the shipping is pretty low. Fast shipment? well, i got my item in like a week. there's only 1 problem, they sent me the wrong thing!!!

i'm a regular system builder, upgrader and i usually got my components from some higher rated places. however, i really needed this 6-in-1 memory reader drive (internal) which was sold out from my prefered shop. so i figured i would give z-buy a try.

i ordered the USB2.0 version of the drive, and when i received my drive, i was surprised to found out that i got a FREE DOWNGRADE to USB1.1 version of the drive for the price of USB2.0. the retail package of the 2 are almost identical, except that the USB2.0 version has USB2.0 on it. i don't think it was a mistake because there's a fine print on the packing slip that says it's a "revised order".

i mean, do they think people wouldn't notice? do they think they can get away with this? I actually found out that i wasn't the only one. i found 2 other people experienced the same thing. This alone proved that their business model is a little towards the dishonorable side.

the real pain is try to get in contact with them and resolve this issue. i wrote an email on 5/2 to 3 of the email addresses on their web site because i couldn't find a number to call. 10 days past bye and no one from the 3 email addresses had reply. so i resent the email to them again. this time, they issued me a RMA, but i have to return the item using REGULAR USPS mail (translation: the cheapest possible) with no tracking, no delivery confirmation in order to get a refund on the postage. Yeah, like i'm stupid enough to do that. If they can conveniently "revise" my order, why can't they conveniently "never received" my return. i could already see me sending out an email asking about my return, and get an email back 10 days later saying "Dear Customer, we never received your return, therefore we can't not send out the replacement. good bye". that's why i refused they offer and demanded for them to send me the item that i purchased along with a prepaid mailing label, and i will return the wrong item. However, my request was completely ignored.

Well, that's the story as of today. what's next, i guess i can get in touch with those 2 other people and talk to BBB. have them take a look at Z-buy's dishonorable business model.

"I placed an order for three LCD monitors and I explained that I needed these to be shipped as soon as possible. Five days later they emailed me to tell me that they don't even have them in stock. I made a substitution and they said they would ship it out that same day and email me a tracking number. Yet, as I write this, I still haven't received an email or my monitors. I was suckered into buying from Z-Buy because of their low 3 day shipping rate, but what good is that if they don't ship the items out for a few days. My last emails have gone unanswered. I run a business nad I need a dependable supplier who can deliver on time and communicate with me. Perhaps Z-Buy is good if you are not in hurry but if you need to depend on getting your order by a certain time, I'd recommend looking elsewhere, like Newegg.com."
