"This is the second order I have placed from Z-buy and again I was very impressed. They had the lowest price listed on pricewatch, and I had the keyboard/mouse combo in my hands two days after ordering it. To top it off, the shipping was free. Definitely plan to order more stuff from them in the future."

"This is my second order from Z-buy. And I just received my Epox 8rda+ at the lowest price I seen available. They even through in complimentary cute little cheap generic ps/2 mouse! hehe. Or was it from somebody's screwed up order? lol! Just kidding. z-buy is the best, IMO. lightening-quick-silver type shipping at a rock-bottom price. They're not a huge outfit, but good communication and competitive prices on certain items and you can't go wrong. "

"This is my second (and last) order from Z-buy. The first went good other than no real shipping confirmationor tracking number. This order has not gone as well. I ordered 7 items, all showed in stock, on 12 Jan 03. I recieved a order confirmation on 13 Jan, a shipping confirmation with tracking number on 14 Jan, and a deleted order confirmation on 14 Jan. No response to my e-mailed requests for status, found the phone number here (1-***-***-****). Called today 16 Jan, lady answering the phone was ititially polite and helpful explaining that one item was not in stock, did I want the rest shipped and re-order last item next week? I agreed, but when I asked her when (keep in mind I am being VERY polite)the items would be shipped/arrive since I had needed them this week she actualy snapped at me rather rudely. Said she would 'try' to ship today maybe tommorow. I ordered over $1500 dollars in PC hardware from 9 vendors on the 12th, including this order. Directron notified me that a case was back ordered the next day, rest of the shpment arrived today. 1CoolPC emailed me the next day because I had goofed on my CC info, responded and reordered my item in minutes!! Other vendors I used were Googlegear, Newegg, Bestbyte, Nexfan, GameVE, Monarch Computers.... Z-buy was the only one I had trouble with. If your an individual in no hurry Z-buy may be for you, save a couple bucks maybe. If your a system builder/tech like myself with customers waiting I suggest one of the other vendors I listed."

"Strange behavior from this place.
It was only after I ordered that I looked up a review on them and then of course noticed that they have no contact phone number, only an email address.

After 4 days or so I emailed asking when my item would be shipped, waited 2 days and recieved a reply saying that my hard drive was not in stock and would be delayed.

This would be semi-okay if I had in fact ordered a hard drive, but I'd ordered a new MX700 optical mouse.

To make it even more confusing, I also recieved a fedex shipping confirmation email about 5 minutes later saying that they'd shipped my package to me.

a week later and I got a reply back when I asked what was going on, and they simply said my item had been shipped.

Luckily they'd got the order right when it got here, but I can see this place making your life absolute hell if they screwed up an order.
The wait for email replies isn't my idea of convenience when I need my order to be here.

Though I got the right item, and I'm pleased with it, I don't think I could risk another order with them after the confusion.

I've got a feeling that if I hadn't emailed in the first place, asking when it was being shipped, it still wouldn't have been mailed out.

"I found z-buy.com from pricewatch because they had the cheapest price for the 512 MB Samsung DDR400 module. I placed my order on the night of January the 9th, recieved a confirmation e-mail the next morning and the ram arrived 4 days later on January 13th ( even though I used the cheap ground shipping and they had to ship from New Jersey to Oregon ). The prices there are very good and their really fast shipping means that I would probably order from them again."

"I ordered a Logitech Navigator Duo from Z-Buy because they had the lowest price after shipping of all the retailers I had looked at. This was on 1/4/03. I actually had been looking at the combo for a few days, leary about ordering from Z-Buy due to many of the comments I was seeing on this site. However, I finally gave in, figuring that 9 times out of 10 most people have problems due to some mix up that could have very well been their fault. I'm glad I made this decision.

After placing the order, I immediately received a conformation e-mail from Z-Buy. The e-mail said the item would be shipped in two business days, and seeing that it was a Saturday, I didn't expect to get a tracking number until closer to the middle of this week. As early as Monday morning they had already shipped my order. The tracking number was correct, and even when I accidentally lost the e-mail telling me the number, I was able to put the invoice number in on their site and was immediately shown the tracking details on Fedex's site.

The item arrived today in great shape. It was packed well, and everything was as described. Many people here have said that "if it sounds too good to be true, it isn't". There's nothing too good to be true about Z-Buy. However, I am convinced that they are decently priced, well-organized, and true to their word. I would definitely order from them again.

"I was trying to by a Maxtor 120gb 7200rpm drive. Pricewatch listed them as cheapest (Newegg was next for and extra $5), so I checked their ratings here. I thought the ratings looked ok. Placed the order, but didn't hear anything back right away, no big deal, it's around a holiday. Two days later I get an out of stock notice and that their stock will be replentished next Tuesday. Funny, said they were in-stock when I ordered. Oh well, I can wait. Tuesday comes and the send me a notice saying they won't we reordering that part even after they said it was going to be in on this day. Order cancelled. I guess I should be happy that the order was cancelled without a problem, but I could've bought the part else where in the mean time. I will not order from here ever again."

"Ordered my 11th Epox MB on 12/26/02 and it arrived on 12/31. This has been typical with every order placed with Z-buy. Had some trouble with the site this time since I got confirmation for 2 separate orders (identical). Immediately sent an e-mail and POLITELY said it was an error and I only needed 1 MB. Had 2 responses the following afternoon - one confirming shipment (with tracking) and the other apologizing for the order error and that the extra order had been cancelled. Have never had to RMA anything, but there have been a couple of problems in the 2 and a half years I've been purchasing from them (much more than just the MB's). I have had nothing but cooperation - including THEM tracing an order for me that somehow never got out of the warehouse. Yes, there is a language problem, but even on the phone they have pleasently worked with me. Maybe the key word is "polite"? Even had a few laughs working things out on the phone. Maybe the yahoo's that rant and rave here do the same thing on the phone? What the h*** do they expect? What do you do when someone rants at you?

Prices are good, but not always the best. That's expected, but so far I'll still buy from Z-Buy if value and need match.

All my shipments - even the free ones - have been FedEx. Only seemingly stupid thing is that they require the bank's phone number when ordering by credit card. Ever try reading the fine print number on the back of a CC when the account number is punched through it??

"OEM components are usually sold without supplemental software and as a result the prices are often quite low. When a reseller offer an OEM peripheral with software at an equivalent low price I have to be suspicious but hopeful. My suspicion was correct. Hardware received without the software and lousy service to follow inquiry. I rather doubt I'll buy again. "If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't"."
