"I've used Myworldphone.com twice so far, and have't had any issues. The reason why I probably haven't had some of the same issues as other consumers here may be because I only pick up from their physical location, I have never used them for mail order. Myworldphone is located in Queens, NY, so it is just a long subway ride for me. I first bought a Motorola SLVR L7 on May, 22nd 06. I usually check the merchandise in front of their faces, and pop in my sim card to make sure it works. At the time $199 for the L7 was an amazing price. I then purchased a pink Motorola RAZR as a gift in November '06 for around $160. I do question whether or not I got the official pink version, as the color was still a little more "reddish" than I would have liked. But they showed me a "Fuscia" model that was clearly darker so I assumed the pink model I got was indeed the correct one. Again, everything was pretty straight forward. I believe the operation is legit, I've seen mounds of product boxes and a lot of activity at their location. I would have no problems believing they probably do a huge amount of wholesale volume. One thing that is a little annoying about them for pick up is they only accept cash, but they refuse to give a break on the tax. I understand I can't expect this, but it's pretty commonplace in NYC for cash purchases at smaller businesses (especially cel phone stores. I highly doubt they actually give that collected sales tax in "cash" to the gov't. I've heard plenty of horror stories about these guys when ordered through the web, but for pick up so far, everything has been straight. From what I've personally seen they seem to have the business to move product in pretty high volume. I would most likely use them exclusively for my unbranded phone purchases, their prices usually can't be beat. As a heads up, their phones are unbranded GSM units, usually from Europe or Africa and have 220volt plugs."

"I ordered an Epson R1800 printer through UniquePhoto from the Amazon marketplace, not directly through Unique's own website. At the time they had the lowest price of $439.99 for the printer, but it happened to only be through Amazon marketplace. In any case, shipping was quick, and the transaction went very smoothly. I would order from again."

"I love Timberland. I recently started buying buttloads of Timberland goods becuase of their constant 40% off sales coupled with Google Checkout. The combination of savings is unreal. $125 boots ended up costing me about $70 shipped. They are usually quick to ship, and the greatest thing about their online shopping experience is if something doesn't fit or I need an exchange, I can go to the local Timberland store and do it. Most retailers are totally seperate for B&M and Online and you can't exchange between one or the other. My only beef would have been the Google Checkout procedure. It seems Google Checkout defaults to 2nd day shipping. It seems that contacting customer service just doesn't work well. I'm not sure if it's Timberland or Google Checkout, but I wrote Customer Service through Google checout requesting my shipping be downgraded to standard, but they never answered and shipped my items out 2nd day doubling the shipping charge. Besides that, everything has been good with Timberland."

"It's pretty humorous to see the biggest toy store with so many dissatified coustomers (laughing at ToysRus, not the poor consumer)! My experience with them was not stellar as was everyone elses here. They really do come across as scammers. I used Google checkout on Dec. 6th to order an elmo TMX. I received an email from Google checkout stating my order had been sent to ToysRus. I never received an email from ToysRus. I called customer service and got a rep who said my order is not in the system, and it takes 24-48 hrs for Google checkout orders to post. I can't verify that claim, but I've used google checkout with Timberland.com and Buy.com about 5 or 6 times in the past few months and everytime the orders have gone through immediately and seamlessly. I've read posts over at slickdeals.net about people using Google checkout for Elmo TMX's and having ToysRus sit on the order for weeks without notice. This is what made me suspect ToysRus is purposely treating Google Checkout orders differently. It seems the ordering process is through ToysRus.com and the payment confirmation is through Google checkout. ToysRus started sending me product / sales emails almost immediately when I place the order so they at least have my email. It makes no sense that they would have my email, but not my order. According to them, I am just not in the system. I think they are lying to Google checkout users and treating them as 2nd tier customers. Their motive may be to provide Elmo TMX's to full price paying, non-Google checkout customers while attempting to retain Google checkout customers for later shipment when they have fulfilled non-Google checkout orders. This of course, is just speculation on my part. Their phone system is ridiculous as well. Maybe because of the holiday season they are having technical issues, but plenty of times there were 2-5 minute pauses, error messages or hang ups. The last time I called CS, there were no phone system issues. One day I waited about 1 hr on hold. I'd like to say I'd never use ToysRus.com, but that would be like saying I'll never use the Post office. I guess I can limit my business with them as much as possible."

"Outpost is a mixed bag for me....but more good than bad. Most of my Outpost experiences are with hard drives, as they sometimes have the most ridiculously cheapest deals in the industry. I've probably bought about 12 harddrives from outpost.com in the past year. In most cases everything has been fine, sometimes even getting a better deal than advertised. Beware Outpost's product description accuracy for Seagate harddrives. For instance, certain Seagate Harddrives are advertised as "perpendicular recording" which would mean they are version 7200.10, but the model number would be that of the previous 7200.9. So which is it? There were two times I purchased Seagate HD's from outpost that were not advertised as "perpendicular recording", but I actually recieved the 7200.10 perp recording units! and for ridiculously low prices shipped. there was unfortunately one time where I ordered 4 400GB Seagate PATA drives advertised as "perpendicular recording" (7200.10)units. When I received them, they were not the advertised units, but the previous non-perp recording models (7200.9). I got them for $89.99 shipped each, which is an amazing deal. I ultimately RMA'd the 4 drives and had Outpost make a note to honor replacements that should be the correct "perpendicular recording" 7200.10 models at the same price. I sent in the drives, and outpost honored the low price and got them replaced. Of course it turns out what I suspected might happen, the 4 new drives were still 7200.9 non-perpendicular recording units. At this point I cut my losses and accepted the drives, as $89.99 each shipped is a great deal regardless of which series the drives are. Outpost also reimburses for return shipping, I faxed my receipts about a month later for $22 return shipping and they promptly credited my card! I half expected them to say that too much time had passed between return shipping and sending in my receipts but they honored it! Great service! Shipping is usually ultra quick, though Outpost uses DHL which I am not too crazy about. I've had items to my door about 3 days from ordering on outpost. I also bought an Antec P180 case from them for $89.99 shipped. I will use Outpost again."

"This is the second time ordering from them, I took advantage of a 15% off sale they had and bought 18 different bulbs. I usually get bulbs for my human scale task lamp, their prices are one of the best on the net for these types of bulbs. I received my last order from them on 12/18/06, so roughly 8 days for processing and shipping with 15% off to boot. I will use them from my lightbulb needs."

"I only ordered an IDE/SATA HD to USB adapter for all the drive diagnostics I do on my setup, they had a great price $26.36 shipped after a $7 discount. The product worked great, and order processing and shipping took about 7 days. I also ordered 2 Yate Loon 120mm fans from these guys on 11/9/06, paid $11.07 shipped, everything went fine. I would order from them again."

"I'm surprised to see so many dissatisfied reviews for Buy.com! I've been shopping with them since 2001 or so, and have always got GREAT deals from them! I can't even begin to remember how many products I've gotten from them at ridiculous prices. My experiences have been good, there are no bad experience to report on. I'm not too crazy about the more recent BUY.com which seems more and more like Amazon.com, but there are still good deals to be had. My last order with them was for a PCI-E 1x USB expansion card, around $43 after Google checkout with destroys everyone else price for the same product (averages $54-$65 everywhere else). I ordered on 12/12/06, received the item via USPS by 12/18/06, free shipping of course. I will continue to use them."

"Last order with Dell was a XFX 8800GTX for $567.93 (25% off)after taxes and shipping, the best deal possible at the time (and probably for some time). Dell is probably the last place I would expect to buy a vid card from. I've ordered from dell since 2002, about 4 or 5 monitors, 2 laptops, 2 ipods, 5 PDA's, a couple hardrives here and there, and the vid card. My Dell experience has generally been good, no major complaints. I've usually ordered only when I had an amazing deal. I do agree with other posters about their shady Dell Financing trick where they essentially never give anyone the advertised 0% rate. My credit is great, and they offered me 17.99% saying that was great, and most others are at 20%+. That's pretty scammy genius, as they never have to justify what constitutes credit good enough to qualify. They can essentialyl say whatever they want as a reason to not give the rate and no one can prove anything. Hopefully the lawsuit will changed things around. The outsourced customer service/tech is pretty annoying, but what are we going to do, all large companies are going that route. I will always use dell when a great deal comes along."

"Ordered a Tuniq Tower from these guys, paid MSRP, shipping a little over $9 UPS, took about 9 days for processing and UPS ground from WA to NYC. Everything went smoothly. Would order from again. *UPDATE* - While installing my Tuniq Tower on 12/21/06 one of the heads on a critical thumb screw that secures the heatsink to the CPU popped off! I called Coolerguys and Josh went to see if they had any in stock to pull out and send to me. They were out of stock. Josh than contacts me a few hours later notifying me he had contaced Tuniq (Sunbeam) in the US, and he had gotten them to UPS me out a replacement thumb screw! That's great service! Coolerguys did not have go through the trouble of helping me since they already made their sale. Thanks again Josh and Coolerguys! *YET ANOTHER POSITIVE UPDATE* Josh is top notch at Coolerguys, I placed another order with them for 120mm fans and other case components in early January 2007. Unfortunately 2 of the fans I ordered came with broken blades. A quick email to Josh got me 2 new fans shipped priority at no charge. These guys Kick butt. Thanks Coolerguys!"

"I've order a few things from them in the past, and all orders went pretty smoothly. For this specific order, I ordered a Triumph Venus 3.5" external drive case using a 5% off coupon code. The discount was reflected, and shipping was quick. My only complaint would be they do not seem to have an order confirmation. In this age of newegg and chiefvalue, order confiramtiona nd shipping confirmation is a must."

"Ordered Arctic 5 Thermal paste with free shipping, they seemed to have the best price I found on net. Received the envelope promptly, but noticed a hole in the envelope and no thermal paste. I'm not sure if it was tampered with, but that wouldn't really be Frosty Tech's fault. I understand this is a low cost item, and the shipping is free, but sending the paste in a standard first class envelope is is risky. The biggest complaint I have is I contacted them about the situation, and never received a response. Given, there really isn't much that can be done since it wasn't insured but a response and an attempt at resolution would have been the right thing to do. Just for that, I'll probably not use them again. *UPDATE* - Sorry for the "over a year" late update response, but I thought in all fairness for FrostyBytes, I should update my review. Once I posted my bad experience on resellerratings they quickly contacted me offering a product replacement free of charge or a full refund. At the time I received correspondence from Frosty Bytes, I no longer had need for the product and it was a small loss for me on top of being generally too lazy to follow up with them but Kudos to Frosty Bytes for making the effort and absorbing a loss to keep the customer happy. They also mentioned they've since upgraded their shipping methods to avoid product loss during shipping. Doh, I just realized after writing this review they no longer seem to be in business, ah well!"

"I'm surprised to see such a low score for Provantage, I always viewed them as an "old-school" upscale, corporate type retailer. I've used Provantage a few times in the last few years, not a lot of times, but both times have been excellent transactions. The first a few years ago was for a laptop case where Provantage had the cheapest price on the net period. I remember having to cancel something from Provantage as well, and remember customer service being very helpful. Provantage usually is very expensive, and can't compete with the other retailers (Newegg), but strangely, Provantage will occasionally have a good amount of items that are ridiculously cheap. For instance, my recent transaction was for a Brother Intellifax 3800 Fax machine. Everywhere else lists this unit from the mid $300 - upper $300, including the cheaper online retailers. Provantage actually had it for around $298.29. Of course Provantage always charges shipping, but still ended up being a better price than anywhere else. I ordered it on 3/29, recieved it on 3/30!!! Luckily the item was shipped from Philadelphia, and I live in NYC. The fax machine works great, and is up and running. Will I deal with Provantage again? Definitely. If you have an item you wish to purchase, it may be worth it to take a look at Provantage to see if they have a good price."

"I was a little shaky on GameVE after reading the large number of negative comments left by users. I did order from GameVE a few years back and did not have any serious issues with the company. Price was good, and shipping went smoothly. Because of the successful first order, I decided to give them another try and ordered an MSI FX5900 Ultra 256MB nBOX bundle. they definitely had one of the lowest prices w/ included shipping. I did find another reseller with a lower price, but chose GameVE since I have dealt with them successfully in the past. I placed the order on 3/19/04 @ 11:58PM. The order was then listed as received on 3/20/04 @ 6:43PM. The order was then sent to warehouse on 3/22/04 @ 11:41AM and was listed as being shipped on 3/23/04 @ 6PM. The actual ship date according to FedEx was the 22nd of March, so my item actually went out quicker than listed on the GameVE order status page. 3 days to process and ship the order out is not bad, it's no Newegg, but still very acceptable. There were no problems with the item being "out of stock" when it was listed as "in stock". I've seen some reviews about complaints on not receiving email confirmations about their order status from GameVE, I myself did not receive any updates on when the item shipped, but GameVE's order status feature on the website is actually better than most other on-line retailers. It seems to be pretty real-time, and actually updates information accurately (except for the my item shipping out quicker than was actually listed). It does make sense that they have the system in place, having an automatic emailer when order status changes should be easy, but I am happy with GameVE's on-line account/status feature. I received the package on 3/25. I've read concerns over poor packing for shipment @ GameVE, but my item was packed perfectly, totally surrounded in packing peanuts. I carefully checked the box and contents. Everything was new, and in perfect condition. No sign of tampering, use or refurbs. I triple checked the integrity of the video card itself by comparing bios, Part numbers & visually comparing the card to images I found on the web - everything was legit. The card serial number was even matching on the box as well. After burn in & testing for a few days, I am satisfied that the everything went smoothly, and my product is in perfect shape with no problems. This was definitely a good transaction."
