"Had a little issue. Spoke to customer service and they helped out greatly. Follow their instructions and everything will be smooth. "
"********ISSUE RESOLVED, FULL REFUND ISSUED!!!*********
DONT YOU EVER EVER EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GOING WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!
- BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE
- PRINTER WAS SHIPPED WITH ALL TONERS INSTALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THE TONER WAS ALL OVER THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE MACHINE
-ITS BEEN A MONTH! AND NO HELP FROM THEM."
"Watch out for shipping. The web site is obviously designed to bait and switch you into shipping at highly inflated prices when free shipping is offered. I have ordered from them in the past and know about this "trick", but my latest order for a scanner for $77 shows up (notice the email invoice they send doesnt break out the cost--you have to log in to see this, and voila $21 in shipping, which at that price I could have went down to best buy and spent less. You have to call customer service as their customer service portal is broken. To their credit, they said they are refunding me the shipping.
I clicked free shipping but new to the checkout for me was an upsell for warranty (also +$20) which for a $77 item, just throw it away. If I recall after turning this down there is no way of ensuring that your order is correct or how the magic "best value" $21 shipping occurred.
Like I said I like these guys, just fix the web site and customer portal.
Also CS said if I chose the "free shipping" they would not ship it for 10 days. Well on the website it says 48 hours, and it "could" take up to 10 days to get there, but I only live UNY which I could walk to Seacaucus in 10 days. I dont see how a low tier of shipping would take longer processing time, however I understand that it's not going to be two day but the lowest cost ground. I'm OKAY with that, but don't "punish" the customer for wanting the lowest cost shipping IF YOU OFFER IT.
With that said this is one of two (one was a car parts shop that upgraded me from free to overnight @ $70 for $60 in parts) webfronts that purposely puts high cost shipping before free when free is available, and the whole checkout process is not transparent.
If they fix the website, I will consider them in the future, otherwise the extra $5-10 savings is not worth the hassle."
"I have only bought project lamp replacements, but have always been pleased with price and lamp lifetime. Thanks!"
"Initial reaction to "A Matter of Fax" was very good. However, my opinion has changed significantly. I placed an order for a printer on 12/11/2011. Today is 12/30/2011 and it still has not arrived. A Matter of Fax directs you to www.cliason.com for customer service follow up. When you click on the link to customer service you receive the message: "A Error Has Occured During Processing of this Page. An email has been sent to technical support. When the problem is corrected, you will be notified via email." This is always the result day after day. The same result occurs when you click on the link for Tech Support and Sales Question. When you call ***-***-**** to contact customer service you receive a voice message to call ***-***-****. On 12/23/11 I emailed A Matter of Fax about the issue and as of 12/30/11 have not received a reply. I will never purchase anything from A Matter of Fax again, nor will I recommend this company to anyone. "
"No problems so far.
Haven't installed the filter cartridge yet."
"Had a small issue in shipping process but customer care gave me a call and took care of everything so it all worked out in the end. "
"Always a pleasure! Their prices are competitive and their ship quickly!"
"I never take time to write about a company, but this time I have to alert customers about it. I called and spoke to a sales representative about the item that I was interested on and they confirmed that the item was in STOCK. I went ahead and placed the order. After 2 weeks, I finally called because the order went Through and it was confirmed, but I had NO TRACKING INFO. I called today, and they just told me that the item was in back order, and that I could cancel if I wanted to. I DID.. But what do I tell my customer now that the item didn't arrive??? HOW PROFESSIONAL IS THAT?"
"A Matter of Fax had all the items I needed. Low prices. Below average customer survice, but provided all that I needed."
"You delivered a good product at a low price. In fact I chose you because it was the lowest on the Internet. I had a complication because I canceled and reordered but you took care of that. I'd definitely use you again, Thanks. Peter"
"CHECK YOUR SHIPPING OPTIONS BEFORE PURCHASE!
Found this site on Google shopping. I ordered from them because they advertised "free shipping" and they had a high customer rating. Upon completing my order, a default of expedited shipping with insurance had been applied to my purchase, and there was no purchase summary prompt after entering my billing information to notify me of this change. I printed a receipt after my order had been completed, and noticed the additional charge. I was able to cancel my order the next day over the phone and my card was not charged. I was contacted by a customer service representative and I explained the issues I had with how their site operated. He expressed his apologies for my problems and stated that the problem with the site would be rectified."
"What an experience, I needed a bulb for my tv. I found it on the web, I found one for around $60 that also had a link for a premium a bulb, I selected it and it was $44. I added to my cart and proceded to pay for it. For that price I ordered 2. The next day I recieved an email and phone call, I called them back the following day, the gentleman told me that I had only ordered the upgrade for the bulb, which meant that the $60 bulb was made in Japan and the upgraded bulb was a better quallity bulb that was made in USA, and the upgraded bulb was $44 dollars more, which would make the bulb cost $104. That is a bunch of crap, according to them they sold me an upgrade of nothing, because I hadn't actually bought the bulb yet. I was finally told that I was talking to a supervisor, she told me that the upgrade was just a better warranty, so that if I were to buy the bulb from one of their competetors, then I could come to their website and purchase a better warranty, I feel they baited me into buying something and then called me telling me that it was going to cost more if I wanted the product. I thought there was laws against this type of business doings.
UPDATE:After posting this review I recieved a call from one of their representatives, he was able to help clear up the situation that I had had with their company, it was nice to know that their is someone their that cares about the service that customers recieve. If I need to buy anything again and I have their company as an option, I would give them another chance..."
"This is a really good company that sells quality merchandise for very reasonable prices and ships their products faster than anyone else. Would buy from them anytime!"
"I absolutely loved your service. Your live customer support is what finally sold me to place an order. We are very happy with the bulb we purchased"
