"I ordered an LG Infinia 42LV5500 TV, Amazon offered me a like new tv from their Warehouse Deals, Inc for $796.99 which is $197 off their $989.99 current price for a like new item. It came in a battered box with a crack in the lower left hand corner. The RMA says I need to pay the postage https://www.amazon.com/gp/orc/rml/D9jkWmPNRRMA Now the Amazon said Warehouse Deals is under the Amazon return policy, which gives I thought free shipping back for returns, but this is not the same at all. I would stay away from Warehouse Deals and not get switched to these fake deals. Either it was broken already and not new, or it was broken by bad shipping. But I'm on my own to get it back lugging the box to the UPS store. The store charged me a rip off $216 to ship this 47 pound item. Now amazon rate is .50 a pound or $25, so this will cost me lots extra than if Amazon gave a correct return label. Is Warehouse deals at all like real Amazon? Seems not. So Amazon said I will get my money reimbursed when the item comes back. But this is a major amount of trouble. I would not buy any heavy or valuable item with this sort of return policy. Buy from somewhere like Costco that has simple returns, or maybe Best Buy for a TV."
"Hi,
I never had any previous bad experience with Amazon.com. This is by far the worst experience I ever had with Amazon. I almost wasted 2 hours on the phone call for nothing but trying teach amazon CSR some basic maths. here is the story
I wanted to buy LG Infinia 55LW5600 TV from amazon after pricematching with Frys.com
Amazon price : 2159.99
Frys.com Price: 1199.00
difference - 960.99
When I talked to CSR he confirmed the price with Frys and said that he would match it, suddenly he stated that frys charge shipping (but they have a free store pickup option) and said that he would add $199 to the total amount to accommodate the shipping
Even though amazon had always pricematched and shipped items for free(I'm a prime member)
I eeven agreed to $199 shipping costs
now the total difference is 960.99 - 199 = 761.99
during the order I already had the Amazon Promotional credit of $50 in my account
so It automatically applied that credit to my order total and showed as 2109.99 The CSR now told me that he cannot reduce 761.99 out of the order he can only do 711 out of the order
I did not understand the logic, this is basic maths why would they want to apply 711 instead of 761.99
I tried explaining them all the possible mathematics but no use the CSR explanation was like this: you paid 2109.99 - 1199 (frys price) - 199(shipping) = 711(he did not know where the 99 cents went)
I know that amazon price match does not include promotion discount but what I had was not a promotional discount it was a Promotional gift Credit
This is the worst experience I ever had with amazon related to price match and buying something. they even cancelled the order
I hope this issue is taken in to serious consideration"
"I do buy from Amazon a lot. I like their Buy with 1 Click feature. Easy and fast to buy. The only thing I don't like is that they use their own Laser Ship service insted of regular FedEx or UPS or USPS. This Laser Ship is really suck."
"I have used Amazon.com many times before and have never been treated like just recently. I ordered a D7000 camera for 1199.95 plus tax and got a confirmation email from them. I payed with a confirmed checking account which contained $2235.35. They claimed it was declined and rather than changing the payment method they cancelled the order immediately. When I check online to order again, the price is magically $1350 and I contacted them to honor they price we agreed to. Here's the transcript:
You are now connected to Javeed from Amazon.com.
Me:
I ordered a Nikon d7000 and even have a confirmation of the order but it was cancelled "order(s) ***-***-****-2195434) using payment from your bank account.
Unfortunately it is not possible to change the payment method for this order. Therefore, it has been cancelled."
I want item at the price it was advertised and the price I ordered it. Now it's showing over 200 dollars more if I try to place the order again. I think that is wrong.
Javeed:
Hello, my name is Javeed. How can I help you?
Me:
I purchased a nikon d7000 for 1199.95 plus tax last night, but you cancelled it for payment method and won't lat me change my payment method
Javeed:
I'm sorry Craig, I'll be unable to offer the price for you.
Me:
I don't want to pay the new price of 1350 plus tax, that's not what we agreed to
i have a confirmed order
Javeed:
Yes Craig, but due to declination in the payment method it was cancelled.
Me:
why was the payment declined? all was in order
let me change the payment method
I feel completely cheated, you should honor the purchase price, not price gouge
Javeed:
We're unable to determine exactly why your bank declined our attempt to charge your account.
Me:
i have an extensive purchase history with amazon and felt amazon was different from other deceptive vendors online, now i don't think so anymore
Javeed:
I'm sorry about this Craig.
Is there anything else I can help you with today?
Me:
I appreciate the apology, but the price change still costs me 200 bucks
you changed the price and don't want to honor it. It's as simple as that.
Javeed:
If the error would have been from our end I would have honoured you the price difference Craig.
Since the charge wad declined from your bank end I'm unable to honor the price.
Me:
there is no error on my end
you cannot show me any proof that it was even declined
Javeed:
We don't have any info why your bank declined the charge Craig.
Me:
you dont have any proof that it was even declined
Javeed:
TeleCheck processes our direct debit payments. Please call TeleCheck at 1-***-***-**** so that they can better assist you with the issue.

because that's what i want
i can pay with a card
Javeed:
No Craig, we'll be unable to honor the price.
I'm sorry about this.
Me:
ok, i have this transcript and will be sharing it on rating sites
i'm finished with amazon
ill be shopping your competitors
primarily brick and mortar places
Javeed:
I'm sorry about that.
Me:
not sorry enough to honor the price we agreed to
Javeed:
Due to our strict policies I'm unable to honor the price difference Craig.
Me:
see you on the rating sites then
Javeed:
Thank you for contacting Amazon. We hope to see you again. Have a great day.
Javeed from Amazon.com has left the conversation.
He never offered ANY remedy. Thanks alot amazon. I am pretty sure they changed the price and don't want to sell it for the original price and cancelled the order. If it was a simple payment problem, they would have let me change the payment method. They lied plain and simple."
"Living in a non English or Italian speaking country makes not easy to find books and items. With amazon.com and the new .it life is easy! :)"
"Hi All,
I have nothing negative to say about Amazon.com and I have had many transactions with them. I can recall only a couple that didn't go so well but the company went out of their way to rectify the situation for me. My fiance and I were so impressed with Amazon, we put our wedding registry on there.
Unless something changes drastically for the worse, I'm a lifelong customer."
"After ordering an Asus tablet through amazon, I received a confirmation email from amazon that my order is being processed, I find out the next day that I actually got put on the pre order list. After speaking with amazon on the issue, the small print in my email notification that stated "we will notify you when we have any information on your package" actually means "Your too late, and now your on the Pre-order list". Other resellers such as newegg and tigerdirect automatically notify you that your item is back ordered, or simply will not fulfill the transaction in instances like this where your item sells out while your finalizing your transaction. It seems amazon does this on purpose to avoid any out of stock cancellations which is at the customers expense. If they would of notified me, I would of cancelled my order and placed it through one of the retailers that did have the item. Its looking like I now have to wait at least a month to get this item. This will be the last time I deal with these clowns."
"I ordered some noodles last month and until now I have not received anything! This is what I think. If Amazon is selling and shipping the products they are always on time. But when 3rd party is selling them, they always have some issues. I won't be buying from 3rd party amazon sellers from now on. This is the 3rd time it happened in my last 9 purchases from amzon. Enough is enough.
Amazon needs to do something with screening out all these bad sellers."
"Nice customer service.. amazon is amazing.. I am with amazon from 2004 and I bought more than 50 items and I love to shop in amazon.."
"I ordered the Mortal Kombat Kollector's edition over a month early expecting them to ship it to arrive on within a couple days of the release date. Instead they just never shipped the order. They had plenty of stock, they just were not filling my order. Very upsetting. I cancelled the order since there is no way of contacting anyone at Amazon personally. Emails bounce back telling you to read their policies. It's ridiculous."
"I have had a bad experience with Amazon's subscribe and save, and I would strongly reccomend that it be avoided. The scheme is somewhere between a dishonest bait and switch, and outright fraud. I signed up for a monthly delivery at an attractive price, and after 3 months, the price doubled (way above market rate, with no notification other than the shipment confirmation, at which point it is too late to do anything about it. I have soured on Amazon, and plan to avoid doing buisiness with them whenever possible."
"Amazon sucks!
Most of their retailers won't ship outside the USA, and charge exhorbitant shipping costs. Also misleasding info with regard to items: ie, I ordered a second-hand copy of the libretto to Berlioz' 'Trojans'. It was advertised as 'Opera in five acts.' After skinning me $20 ($10 for a wafer thin booklet & $10 shipping!), I found the book included only the first three acts.
I won't be shopping with Amazon again unless I can't avoid it."
"I thought ebay.com was the worst when it came to customer service? Well i was wrong Amazon.com is as bad, they will not guarantee your transaction with an individual seller.
So if you get scammed you are on your own, so please don't think that your money is safe if shopping on Amazon.com because it's not.
Once you have paid they wash their hands and as far as they are concerned the issue is between you and the seller.
Buyer Beware!!!"
"
WHY DOES AMAZON.COM NOT ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE AT RESELLERRATINGS?? ARE THEY SO BIG NOW THAT THEY DONT WANT TO??
WHATS UP? CAN ONE STILL WRITE REVIEWS ABOUT AMAZON.COM? "
"Amazon gets 10 stars. I decided that I had no choice but to return a watch I purchased from them. In attempting to do so, because the watch came from an Amazon supplier rather than Amazon direct, I hit a major snag. I won't go into the details but will just say that Amazon stepped up big time and handled the situation. Apparently Amazon has a policy that says, "No dissatisfied customers," and their actions support that cause. I've purchased from Amazon before but from now on, if Amazon sells it, that's where I'm buying it. Their customer service is second to none."
