New motor for an old washer

"I was surprised and delighted to find that the motor for our 34 year old Maytag washer was available. The motor burned out in a brownout, and we were afraid we would have to replace the washer. I ordered a new motor, and had it in hand in under 24 hours. The video showing how to replace the motor was a great help. In all, an excellent experience. "

Genuine GE service part, I think.

"Got 2 day delivery on a genuine GE factory service part. Although the part shown on your web page said "Made in USA", the part I received was marked "Made in Vietnam". I understand that although it was made in Vietnam, it was almost certainly a plant that is approved to actually supply OEM parts for GE."

Horrible experience - Somewhat improved - UPDATE

"Their “experts” made no effort to diagnose my problem, they simply went with the odds of selling me each part in the order in which they are most often replaced. As a result, I spent $500 on unneeded parts that can’t be returned. A simple diagnostic test would have eliminated all but the final faulty part.

UPDATE - After my post, they have reached out to me and refunded one of the unnecessary parts, so I only spent an extra $200. But at least they are trying to make it right. Unfortunate I had to go public.
