"I purchased a replacement ice maker assembly. It comes in 2 parts; the ice tray and the retaining bracket. Those two items should only be installed as an assembly replacement! It should be noted on the packaging. My mistake, I only installed the ice tray portion on the first go around as that was the part that was leaking and damaged. Unfortunately, that did not work and I had to reorder the entire assembly again, as the old and new components are not compatible.
I think a large notice on this packaging would help the DIY person who can easily interpret poorly, like me. Thank you!"

"My ice maker and water quit working. I first replaced a valve and then found the line was broke also. 11 years old and probably cracked when I was moving it to replace the valve. I purchased a new line also. "How to" videos were invaluable. Only problem my refrigerator did not have a reservoir bottle. It had a coil of quarter inch tubing which was a single line from the back to the valve in the door. I had bought a st angle connector. I installed the replacement line. I cut out the bad section of line and used the rt angle connected to join the two ends. Closed it up. Turned on the water and everything works great."
