The seal repair kit arrived the very next day because Appliance Parts Pro shipped from a warehouse closer to me than them. It was made by the OEM. I watched two videos and discovered where the folks could have paid more attention.
First, find the seam in the gasket where the two ends were joined together and place it closest to you so when you are working the gasket around the two screw posts, you are working with the strongest part of the piece.
Second, look closely at the gaps around the two screw posts around which you have to maneuver the gasket. As you push the sump down and then up, you'll notice that the gap around the posts moves. Move the gap by varying pressure as you push on the sump to where it best serves your mission of pulling the gasket down and around the back of the posts.
Third, the process of pulling on the seal to get it around the screws will stretch it bigger than it should be and you'll end up with an extra U shaped loop. It may take just a few minutes for the seal to regain its shape if you leave it alone for that time.
Lastly, use the instructions for the tightening pattern of the screws. Don't just go in a circle as some videos did.
The job took this novice all of 40 minutes from the very start of unscrewing the few parts in the way to putting it all together and turning the washer on to check for leaks.

For some unknown reason, the AppliancePartsPro system did not log it in until 4:30pm EDT, 30 minutes after the cutoff time for next day delivery.
