"The AppliancePartsPros site made it easy to find the right part for my old dishwasher. They sent out the right part almost immediately. It seems the static door vents on these old Frigidaire dishwashers have a one time use only gasket. If the vent leaks water or the vent needs to be replaced, a whole new assembly including the gasket must be acquired. Removing the old vent destroys the original gasket. Replacing with the new vent, better have it lined up perfectly because you only get one try. The gasket is coated with sticky glue so once it makes contact with the door, it's that position or none. Trying to reposition an installment misalignment will destroy the new gasket so be certain it's going on straight. This is the design for static door vent 154433001 which was used on many brands and models of dishwasher. Now my dishwasher is happy again, no longer shedding tears of dish water on the floor."
