It started when there online order system wouldn’t work. I had to call on the phone to order.. and yep! I got India….
I got the laptop, 6 days after i ordered it! To find the screen is blank, doesn’t work… so I call back to find a totally incompetent man. I call them and he says “We be hold for minute” (I can hear him talking, he never put me on hold) so I say hello or something, “We be holding now!”. About 4 minutes later, I ask when will he help me, “we gonna hold bit longer *tried to make some sort of holding music with his mouth* see we be holding”. Shortly after I hung up!
I called the corporate number to finally speak with Nick, He seemed very nice and wanted to help. But sadly 3 days later the best he can do is UPS ground, 8 days later its still in transit!
Now its been close to 4 weeks and I am still waiting on my notebook. This is a 2,000 dollar computer! Forget buy.com, stay safe… go with newegg.com!

"Be very careful dealing with Buy.com. I am planning on getting a new cellphone that needs a mini SD card and saw this offer posted at Buy.com for a mini SD card I clicked on the link and ordered this card or so I thought. My first clue was the price was $30.00 not $27.00 as listed on Buy.com. Because I was using Google checkout for the first time I was unsure if that was how they did it because that was the original price before the Buy.com discount.
Well Buy.com pulled a bait and switch. When I questioned them by e-mail about the price after placing the order, they pulled that page and put up a page that said this card is no longer offered by the manufacturer. They refused to address this problem by e-mail so I got them to give me a phone number. They kept saying $30.00 was the price with a $9.00 discount.
I finally figured it out that this card was a micro card not the mini card I ordered. I told them this was a blatent bait and switch and did some threatening that I would report them to no avail. Man, I wish I had taken a screen shot before I ordered. I thought they were a big company with a good rep.
They switched my order to a micro SD card which they have at the $30.00 price. What is truly amazing is that they shipped the order within 2 hours so I couldn't cancel it once I figured this out. Buyer beware- when something is to good to be true it often is."

"Customer service is non-existent at Buy.com. I had a gift certificate from Buy.com with a balance of $202+, I wanted to purchase several items and wanted an extended warranty on 2 items. I could not apply the gift certificate to my purchase if the order contained an extended warranty. I called sales support at the 800 number and got through to a support person and was told that gift certificates were not allowed to be used for extended warranties because it was company policy. I spoke with a manager who promised to escalate the issue and that I would receive a call back on Monday. I received no call. I called on Tuesday and, after arguing with a sales rep when I asked to speak with a manager, talked with a "supervisor". I explained that nowhere on the Buy.com website did they have a restriction that didn't allow a gift certificate to be used to purchase an extended warranty. He said that he would contact the corporate office and assured me he would call me back within 2 hours. 3 hours passed, I called back and asked to speak with the manager I had spoken to before, after again going through all of the questions by the sales rep, I was told that he had gone home for the day. They said they would connect me to customer support and after 40 minutes on hold I hung up. I called back later and was told that they didn't have a supervisor in the sales support division and was again connected to the customer support people, after 90 minutes on hold I again hung up. I called back on Wednesday and again asked to speak with the supervisor that I had talked with on Tuesday and was told he wasn't available. I was again connected to customer support, after repeatedly being told by the sales rep "I'm sorry" when I was telling her about the issue. When I finally did get to talk with someone in customer support I was again told the same things with no explanation as to why. I asked for the corporate office contact info and was told that they were'nt allowed to give that information out, that they didn't have a phone number for them, that they didn't have an address for them, etc. Finally, they connected me back with the same supervisor that didn't call me back and he told me there was nothing that he could do (and of course "I'm sorry"). This is without a doubt the worst customer service that I've ever experienced anywhere. I spent hours on the phone to essentially receive no answer, no callbacks when promised, no explanation for the lack of customer service, and no offer of any kind to keep me as a customer. I would reccommend that anyone considering buying from Buy.com to go somewhere else, there's a lot of good competition out there. I changed the items in my order so that I could use up the gift certificate, but I will never again use Buy.com for anything."
"I didn't think to check here until after ordering a new monitor (Optiquest Q22WB) on May 08, 2007. (yesterday) I picked buy.com for the free shipping, low price, and $15 off special.
As I had chosen the free (slow) shipping, I became somewhat concerned after reading the recent reviews.
The special didn't require any kind of subscription to any other service, and despite warnings AT BUY.COM about slowness with the free shipping -- it arrived overnight.
