"Ok here's the story of another dissatisfied customer. I ordered two PSP games on 11/24/2006.
They were both in stock and supposed to have shipped in 1 or 2 business days, I used Google checkout to save $20(otherwise who would bother with Buy.com?)So fast forward to the following week late Wednesday night, I on hold again for the 3rd night in a row for not les than 40 minutes. I had received one of the games on Tuesday, but the other still had not shipped and the last two nights no one could tell me why, bs run around its Because of Google checkout, blah blah blah. Well finally tonight the guy admits to me the game is out of stock for the next two weeks! I demand a full refund, he claims I will get it I'm not so sure. Buy.com you can get good prices sometimes yes but its such a poorly run operation, that dealing with them when they screw up(about 50% of the time) is just like pulling your own teeth out. We will see if they get me my refund.
UPDATE 11/30/06
Well they cheesed me on the refund, only gave me $15.30 it was there fault but they still took away the Google discount I saved.Ended paying full retail for the item they shipped, what bunk, I guess I should have paid for the item they didn't ship and wait for when they decided it was time. Thats it for me and buy.com. So they screwed me out of $7.35 They also lost my business for good.

I swore I would never order here again yet here I am warning to buy from this crappy site, I got screwed yet again trying to save money, will I ever LEARN? BUY.com is awful horrible worst site on the net to buy anything please don't. "

"Ordered 2 items and received on 11/14/06. Both items were wrong and have been trying to get Buy.com to honor their own return policy. They keep telling me someone from Corporate Headquarters will call me and no one ever has. So here I am stuck with 2 incorrect items and unable to return them. It is unfortunate that Buy.Com wont honor their own policy and continually lie to consumers.
12/07/2006****Update. Finally after 23days of dealing with India I broke down and called their California phone number and talked w/Jamie. She assured me she would issue a new RMA# and a prepaid label that I can print out at home. She did call back to advise that my "address" does not exist w/UPS. I tried to give her an alternate address but was advised that since I paid through Google.com they could not do that. I just think its funny that they had NO probem shipping the wrong items to my non-existant address but cant issue a prepaid shipping label to this address. Her only solution was for ME to pay for shipping and they would give me a $15.00 credit to shop at Buy.Com again.....Gawd what a joke. My first/last time of shopping w/Buy.Com. Why would I ever accept a credit to use at their site ever again. I am still laughing out loud at her suggestion.
12/07/06** Called UPS to see if I exist in their database and yes I am there. Called Jamie back at Buy.Com HQ and was sent to her voicemail. Left message advising that UPS doesnt understand why "they" cant locate my address in the UPS database when UPS didnt have a problem. Asked her to please give me a call back. Well as of today 12/09/06 she has not bothered to call me back. Seems USA customer service is no better than customer service in India."
"These guys are awful! They promise free shipping then bill you for the shipping! I have been round and round with customer service and for $6 shipping they are willing to lose me as a customer. Don't try to use Google Checkout with this site - free shipping turns into paid shipping."
"ordered a camera that arrived defective. i emailed for an RMA number according to their return policy. i was given an RMA number and a promise for a shipping label to be emailed to me. the label never arrived despite numerous emails. when i called for it, i was told that no RMA existed for my order. i asked to get a number so i could return it and they said it was too late. I explained over and over that i was already given one and had the email to prove it. fianlly got a supervisor who read the email and said i was right and they would take care of it right away. then, a week later, i got an email saying my request was denied because it was too late to return it according to their policy. nobody seems to be willing to understand that i did do everything according to their policy and THEY messed up. so, i have a broken camera that they will not take back. i wish i'd read these reviews before i ordered. it wasn't that great a deal to begin with. they are theifs. "I purchased a memory card that classified for FREE shipping. I checked this choice on the order form. When I completed the order it had changed by itself to 2-day shipping at a cost over $15. I immediately contacted Buy.Com through the "make a change" section of the form. I recieved a e-mail telling me that they would not change the shipping type after the order was placed. After 4 days I contacted them and asked for the status as I had paid for two-day shipping I should expect the product in that time. They e-mailed me back that the product was on back order and they had no delivery date. I wrote back asking them to cancel my order. They advised that they would forward my request to cancel and that I would recieve a e-mail either allowing or denying this request. I am still waiting for response but I will notify my credit card company not to pay the charge. BE AWARE!"
"Ordered a Panasonic DMC_FZ50k camera on Oct 15th. On Nov. 10,after 4 weeks of waiting I tried to canceled order. Next day received email from Buy.Com that "You will receive an email confirming or denying the cancellation request for this order within the next few business days". On Nov. 14th received an emailing stating camera was out of stock and they didn't have an estimated time of arrival. Two days later I received a Availability Alert showing camera was back in stock. I sent them an email requesting that they either put through my cancellation or sent me one of their in stock cameras. After numerous email and conversations with Buy.Com, I'm still waiting for the order to be canceled. It has been six weeks since I ordered the camera and two weeks since I tried to cancel. Just be aware that if you want to cancel an item, you will get run-around and they are very difficult to deal with. I have ordered with them since 2001, but will never again.

"I bought a WD MyBook 500GB hard drive from this site & I accidently shipped it to the wrong house. I called FedEx & they told me to contact the shipper to verify the new address. I contacted customer support two times with this matter & no one called or helped me with the matter. Next day, FedEx sent the package back to the shipper. There was a coupon I wanted to use & they wouldn't honor it again. I contacted customer support & they said they would refund the difference once the second order had been made. I was about to order again today, and they raised the price by $40. Yes it was my fault for sending it to the wrong address, but is it hard to call FedEx to confirm the new address? Takes what... Five minutes? Customer service is really bad, not even a phone number listed on their site and their response isn't all that great. I provided detailed emails about calling FedEx to confirm the new shipping address, and all that 'Ross' & 'Richard' stated was that they offered many chances to change the address before I submitted the order, and they can't change the address. Talk about misunderstanding. I got fed up and will never order from this site again."
"Worst site ever. I will never do buisness with buy.com again. I ordered a Netgear GS108NA switch which goes for about ~$80 retail. When the package arrived a different switch was in the box which goes for ~$15 on newegg. Buy.com claimed that something was shipped and refuses to send a replace or give a refund.
To make matters worse is that there is a mail in rebate for the Netgear GS108NA switch which I probably won't be able to get by the time they acutally ever do send a replacement (if they ever decide to)."
"Ok i have not ordered from buy.com in a very long time. No reason specifically but i guess i just haven't found anything from them i wanted for a long time. I used to order from them back in the day and they were always great. I come here and see the horrible rating and just can't imagine why. I ordered a book from them and got a great deal thanks to the $10 off because of using google checkout. I chose the budget shipping. I received an email the very next day saying they had shipped it. How can you beat that for budget shipping? Amazon is never that fast. I received the book and it was packed well and i was quite happy. Maybe its that i didn't have to return the book. "Horrible experience. I ordered two items based on the (large) rebates that were offered. Without the rebates the prices were not good at all but with the huge rebates they were very good. One item was delayed and I only have two more days to submit my rebate (but I need to include the UPC and I won't have it until I get the product). The other item was sent BUT the receipt I received shows another item - so the rebate won't be honored. Plus the item I received (a flash card) is obviously used. I'm getting the runaround from buy.com support. I will NEVER buy from buy.com again."
"My experience was similar to one of the reviewers below: Buy.com was very diligent in charging my credit card, but NOT so diligent packing the flash card I had ordered. All I received was an empty, padded envelope. Now they tell me the item is out of stock. Buy.com has got to be one of the sloppiest retailers I've dealt with. Although I received another item I had ordered, it's hard to have faith in a retailer that delivers only 50% of what you have ordered."
"I ordered a 1GB thumb drive from Buy.com using Google Checkout. The package arrived about 10 days later, completely empty (well, the packing slip was in there, but nothing else!). The envelope that it was supposed to be in didn't appear to have been tampered with (e.g. opened by someone and resealed), but I knew something was weird when I initially picked up the envelope and it was completely flat (no bulges to indicate there was something inside) and very lightweight. I contacted Buy.com to inform them of the problem, only to be told that the package tracking number confirms it was delivered to the correct address (a point I never contested) and they could not help in any way. What they're essentially saying is that I had just paid them $30 for a packing slip and envelope. I will NEVER, EVER shop at Buy.com again, nor any of its affiliates, and I would encourage all others to heed my advice and stay away. It's apparent from their poor track record and consistently low rating on this site that my case is by no means an isolated incident.

"I ordered two items from Buy.com on the same order. One item was shipped and received and the other item was shipped and not received. I contacted customer service at Buy.com and I was told the item had been received. I asked for proof of delivery since I did not physically receive the item. This is the response I received:
"Per company policy: "Title to goods passes to you upon delivery to the common carrier." (http://www.buy.com/corp/legal.asp). Basically this says that once a product is in transit via the shipping carrier, the ownership of the product has passed from Buy.com to the customer. It is the customer's responsibility from this point forward to make sure someone is at the delivery address provided to accept the package. If no one is available at this address at the time of delivery, the carrier is authorized to leave the package at the door."
Bottom line - If an order gets lost in transit, too bad. No reship, no refund. I am a frequent online shopper and have never had a business shirk their responsibility of ensuring customer receives the product that was ordered and paid for. Never again with Buy.com.
