"I ordered IOGear 160GB on Mar 24th and my order was processed the next day and it was shipped on 26th Mar. My credit card was charged with the amount.Buy.com has provided me the tracking number which is helpless. No information is available for it.
I did not find any customer service number on the Internet and I got fed up writting mails to them. It was realy stupid store I ever purchased. Never ever buy anything from this store. It is a scrap.....

very very poor customer service. You will never get your questions answered.

"I purchased a Hawking Tech antenna for my wireless router for $10. They now claim it is out of stock and have no idea when it will be in stock. However, they still have the exact same item listed on their site with a different item number for $40. This is not the first bad experience I've had with Buy.com, but by God it will be the last! Stay away from them!

Their phone number is 1-***-***-****, although you probably shouldn't bother calling it unless you speak Hindi.

"On an October 19th order in 2004, after THREE MONTHS, I never received a rebate from them. I called, and was told I would be sent an in store credit (they refused to send me a check for the rebate amount).

Two months later, I still hadn't received even the in-store credit memo.

I emailed Buy.Com customer service the next month,
(it was by then, March of 2005), and never got a response to that email.

Buy.Com in the interim removed all traces of contact telephone numbers from their site.

Thus, no rebate. No response to customer service inquiry. No contact phone number listed at this point on their site.

They have lost a customer at this point.

Their customer "service" is in India, and is an exercise in futility.... I had to find the telephone number by calling the cell phone sales number on the Buy.Com site, since the cell phone purchase telephone number was the ONLY telephone number listed on the entire Buy.Com site.

When this was pointed out to the India "customer service" they readily admitted that they removed the telephone number from their site.

A supervisor assured me she would contact me with a resolution to my rebate on the following day, but that of course NEVER happened.

I have NEVER experienced such unethical customer service, and I would suggest that anyone even thinking of doing business with them serioulsy rethink their decision, and avoid doing so.

This was one of the most annoying retail experiences I have ever had....there is clearly NO
real customer support, at least from my own experience.

VERY POOR INDEED. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR.

"I've placed 5 orders with buy.com and have recieved everyone of them in perfect condition and on time with free shipping. The only problem I've had was when my third order was placed I tried to cancel it the next day on their site, it had not shipped yet in was in the "processing" state. Click cancel and checked back the next day and was still in the canceling state. That night I received the package. They decided since I didnt want it they would overnight it to me, even though they charged me for ground shipping."

"I purchased Princeton 19" flat panel on 28 Jan 05. I received it 8 days later (not bad!). After 2 weeks it developed a line the full length of the screen 3" in from the left edge. I contacted Buy.com via web, and was told to return it for replacement. I got the RMA, shipping label, and followed all of their instructions to the "T". They even sent email acknowledging receipt of panel, and then they placed the order for a new one. Are you ready? They cancelled the order! Couldn't replace it, it was not available. It did not make any difference that the web site kept selling them for two more weeks, and they are still available now. They refused to make a substitution either. It has taken them over 30 days and still no refund either. There is no tech support to speak of, and customer support is ONLY in New Delhi, India, with NO available means to reach anyone in the California headquarters. If you want the absolute worst customer service that you have ever had in your life, shop Buy.com. I NEVER WILL AGAIN!!!!!!!!"

"I ordered a PSP package on Saturday. Everything was in stock. Nothing happened during Monday/Tuesday. On Wednesday I got an email saying that all my items are backordered and I can cancel them. There is no way to cancel them on the website, so I had to go through 3 robotic phone representatives. One of them told me that they couldn't cancel it and I had to do it online. But the site HAS NO CANCEL OPTION. Another one said their systems were down and I should call in 30 minutes. After finally getting through my request, they said it will take SEVERAL DAYS to cancel, during which my order could ship ANYWAY.

And so it finally happened. They canceled some minor items from my order instead of the ENTIRE ORDER like I requested, and shipped most of the order today. Thats too bad because I already ordered the same thing from Circuit City. I am restraining myself at this point from not bursting into profanity or possibly setting their building on fire. These are the worst online retailers I've ever had to deal with.

"Ordered on 3/11. Shipped 6 days later on 3/17 with some unheard of shipping company (American Package Express.) Expected delivery was 3/24-3/28, but that time is long gone. Tracking info hasn't updated since 3/22. Support isn't helpful at all. Terrible experience, terrible company, terrible store."

"I have placed 12 orders from Buy.com in the last 12 months and have not had any problems with delivery which has almost always been free and reasonably fast. There have been no mistakes in my orders and no failed parts. One item out of the dozens I have ordered became out of stock after my order and has never been stocked since. My credit card is not charged until the item has shipped. Overall Buy.com has been very dependable for me and very competitive with their prices. I will continue to do business with them."

"Normally, I've had excellent success with Buy.com but it appears that things have changed with these guys. My last two orders have been sent via the third party shippers and neither of them have arrived.
I contacted the Customer Service group and got a claim request but that is it.
It seems that this APX shipping group is the new week link and things go there and disappear.
Too bad that I will have to regulate Buy.com to the Tigerdirect.com list of non-approved web etailers.

"It was my first purchase with them, done solely on price. I wish I'd read their privacy policy first; i might not have used them at all as it's very anti-consumer. You essentially give them rights to do whatever the hell they want, including giving your email to pretty much anyone. Be sure to use an email address you can abandon after your order has arrived!! My shipping was fast (I see lots of complaints about that), but in fairness it was shipped from a warehouse in a city that borders mine in metro Atlanta... literally a matter of a few miles.
